I can't tell maybe a shadow from the stems? It could be a star, my eyes suck but who knows.I just downloaded the pic from the FBI website, you can definitely see it in this pic as well. I added the yellow circle.

My thoughts, too. Not impressive to give potential evidence from video footage to the Media rather than to LE. Then, to complain about LE not contacting them.BBM Good point. Why go to the media, indeed? I knew you had no issue with LE. I was really addressing turning over footage in general. Again, good point about media. 15 minutes of fame? Potential for reward cut? Who knows??? MOO
Again, I see the "star" but it totally looks like it from the light hitting the metal from different directions. MO. The other pic looks stitched in. LolI just downloaded the pic from the FBI website, you can definitely see it in this pic as well. I added the yellow circle.
It's not a redundant theory. It's a highly possible one.I'm beginning to think the simplest explanation is probably the best explanation. These were a couple of guys who burglarize homes in this area, that got caught off guard by someone in the dark and injured her, perhaps fatally. They wrapped her up in a tarp or blanket to control or conceal her. One ran out to get the vehicle, the other went out front to remove the camera so the car could pull up, They went back in thru back and carried her wrapped body out the front door. I'm thinking in a tarp now because it would allow blood to drip. Perhaps there was no plan and they just got in too deep during a burglary? I am behind in reading posts so apologize if this is a redundant theory.
I think that's the "female" side of the undone buckle on the chest strap.I just downloaded the pic from the FBI website, you can definitely see it in this pic as well. I added the yellow circle.
Wonder if they tried to contact LE before contacting the Media. Home is well-secured with the gate and the camera positioned at their driveway entrance. JMOThis looks like a home that is well-secured (the driveway gate). I'm glad they had a camera positioned at that point! I'm guessing a lot of people are going to be rethinking the option of having a camera positioned at their driveway entrance.
Tucson has a population of over 500,000 vs Moscow of about 26,000. Plus, the gem show was in so the night life downtown and even around town was hopping. People going out and having a good time and driving home or taking an Uber home isn’t unreasonable at 2 to 2:30 at night. Plus, DoorDash deliveries too.
Definitely a shadow IMOI can't tell maybe a shadow from the stems? It could be a star, my eyes suck but who knows.
Here ya go. plow thru this...I was told years ago when i put in my alarm system that the best deterrent is the sign on your lawn saying protected by ADT.. They just walk on by. What do you consider armed? Knife, gun, brass knuckles, taser? All armed. I would imagine no one goes in armed with a wooden spoon unless they are Italian! lol JMOI've been mulling over this as well and had wondered if she sometimes had saturday dinner at daughters and then spent the night versus taking an uber home, which could mean a thief with second or third hand knowledge might have assumed she would not be home. However, the fact they were armed leads me away from that theory. I'd like to know the statistics on armed home robberies versus an unarmed, I would think the vast majority are not armed, but I honestly don't know.
Yes. A Saturday night/early Sunday morning. I don’t find it alarming at all. This happened on a weekend, right? I don’t think it’s that weird to see a car on Cmo Real at that time on a weekend. Uber, teenagers, even someone who is on-call for work. Hopefully they quickly figure out who it was. It’ll be great if it’s a major break in the case but idk.
I’ve seen reports calling it “the outskirts” and “backroad” but it’s one of the main roads in that neighborhood. I live in Nancy’s general neighborhood.
Great theory, very reasonable. On STS last night, Fil Waters, retired homicide det. had a similar theory. Burglary gone bad. It's not a redundant theory. It's a highly possible one.
Definitely has been a thought on my mind regarding a burglary. But so has been many other scenarios that I just cannot make sense of. Lifelong resident of Albuquerque and the criminals are definitely brazen and bold here. Still hopeful the reward brings some answers, although I am becoming uncertain poor Nancy will ever be found. So sad.I don’t know about Tucson, but back when I lived in Albuquerque middle of the night burglaries weren’t uncommon. Even in the nicer neighborhoods. I guess they hoped they could get in and out without people noticing their approach. Grab stuff before the homeowner woke up and then flee.
Nancy would be a prime target, older woman living alone in a nice house spaced out from the other neighbors.
I know LE hasn’t seemed big on the burglary angle, but it seems possible. Went in to rob her, Nancy confronted them, something like that.![]()
Is this present in the released photo without the backpack?I just downloaded the pic from the FBI website, you can definitely see it in this pic as well. I added the yellow circle.
The photo without the backpack is a different jacket imoIs this present in the released photo without the backpack?
I don’t believe this was an attempted robbery, I think it was very targeted and planned. However, I do think this could be a very plausible explanation.Great theory, very reasonable. On STS last night, Fil Waters, retired homicide det. had a similar theory. Burglary gone bad.
The only extra, kind of interesting idea, was that the burglars walked there, backpacks, they were local. Like 1 mile away.
When NG died during the burglary, they panicked, thought they had to take her to go.
One person had to run back home, to get a car, and this explains the 40 minutes time period in the house. Waiting for the car person to return, then load her up, gone.
JMO
If these were really burglars, I do not see them taking NG- she was old, hearing aids out- tie her hands, leave her, take what you want and go. Why have a body/her DNA/disposal?/murder when all you want is some valuables? They would have to be panicking and not used to stealing IMO. And they did not take any valuables. What is the thought process of the night time robber? Why not go during the day when people are not home typically?
Why take the higher risk level going into an occupied home. Killing someone even accidentally when committing a robbery is felony murder.
