Interesting perspective, however when you state that “he definitely had a car” you are asserting that indeed it was a male, rather than a female and that there is evidence that an automobile was used in the crime. Is there video evidence to support this claim?
Not sure about the vehicle, but FBI said male, 5'9-10", average build.

The U of A has an astronomy program that's a major deal worldwide, hence the dark sky. I don't particularly like it because it makes driving at night in certain areas difficult due to jaywalkers being hard to see, but it is what it is. I personally would prefer brighter streetlights but no one asked what I wanted LOL.

Cartels? We don't have an issue with cartels. This isn't Sinaloa or something, regardless of how close to the border we are. We aren't run by them, they aren't a presence IMO from what I've known working in corrections. Their drugs are, but they aren't brought here by the actual members.

Crime? absolutely. Some areas have more concentrations of crime that others.
Where NG lives is not a high crime area. Even in low crime areas I'd say very few homes IMO don't have some sort of security or camera system, at least from what I've seen from friends who live in nicer areas.
Good to know about astronomy programs, sounds very interesting. I agree about the dark roads, I live in a dark sky area, and I wish there were streetlights here sometimes, looking for street #!

Re Cartels, I saw cartels mentioned on this case, sorry, if that was not accurate. I’m in S CA similar situation near border ( I know most fighting is amongst cartel members, not the public).

On BE show a couple of days ago he had a retired deputy sheriff from Tucson. Maybe because
Detective worked in crime, he made it sound like the foothills have a fair share of burglary, many people not home, second homes. He was a blustery type, could be way off, maybe tried to sound interesting.

Thank you for your insider info, and correcting my comments that were not accurate. Glad to know Tucson is safe enough, a regular American city!

I go to AZ often, but not Tucson. Los Algondones, MX, Yuma AZ, and I live in S. CA. I’ve grown to really love the desert. The sunsets are so incredibly beautiful! Remember AZ Highway magazine?

It's a he we've all seen in the video and that gender is a part of the FBI description of the perp. He had to have transportation to get NG out of there.
Could have been a wheel barrow, garden cart etc. to a meeting point with a truck or van further down the access roads to NG’s neighborhood.
My opinion only

In my area thieves use wifi jammers. They are small and easy to use devises. I would be surprised if they aren't used everywhere by burglars.
I took your advice and looked it up, based on the attachment it sounds like it is not as wide spread as the mass media makes it sound.
Only very tech savvy criminals are able to deploy this technology, and even at that with limited success.
My opinion, based on research is that wi-fi jamming was not utilized in NG’s home.

Wi-Fi Jammers and Home Security: Here's What's Behind This Burglar Tech

Jamming attacks on home security are possible -- but are they really happening? Here are all the facts.

Lantana man had only limited success, didn't he? Was he not sophisticated? He's outsmarted the FBI!

There may actually be lots of doorbell cameras in the area but most of the homes are so far back from the road that maybe they just don't pick up passing cars?
We have our Ring camera set to only record from the sidewalk to our house. We can see people walk by on the sidewalk and if they come onto our property. Until now, I've never seen the benefit of recording cars that pass by.

Depends on where you live IMO. Different sides of town will have different perspectives. I live on the South side....safe to say it isn't a big topic here.
Having spent time in Tucson, I mentioned this before, saying that I had never heard of NG. I was near the mission.

I have a Wyze cam that points down on the front walk from above. Although I've shrunk the detection zone to just the walkway inside the gate, cars driving by still frequently trigger movement sensing at night because the headlights reflect off objects. That being said, it never gets dark here, so IR mode never turns on. Not sure if that changes things.

Backround I don't know what you call this? My daughter bought a lovely home 14 years ago. There was a key pad outside the garage door. Her car didnt fit in the garage so she never used it and she never had the combination from the old owner. About 2 years ago she noticed on several occasions that the cover had been flipped down. Long story short ,car, parked in the driveway was broken in to. They only got some change in the console.

Why was someone flipping the cover of her keypad down? Is this part of wifi jamming? I am trying to understand this jamming thing? Certainly, this was not sophisticated? Or was it? Can this be applied to the NG situation? 2000$ home security system later....lol Money well spent. But I KNOW, something with that cover of the keypay outside was definitely purposeful. Please explain ? TY moo

How can the AG car still be part of the investigation if the owner (s) of the car are not ? Can someone explain that.
This sheriff says one thing one day and then does a 180 the following day.

Yes, for sure. I was thinking about this. The whole thing feels a world away from the experience of plenty of people in Tucson, in my neighborhood as well. I didn't mean to speak for everyone in the larger community, but I was daunted by trying to get into all the nuances. I mostly meant that I don't think there's a need for PCSD to be putting anyone on alert. Either people are already on alert, or it's unlikely that this crime would be of any more consequence than whatever people are already alerted to on the daily all the time ... if that makes sense. MOO.

Yes!! I saw this too this afternoon on Angenette Levy's YouTube channel. I can't believe I hadn't noticed that before.
Can you post the link to her video

Yeah, I find my cover lifted periodically, particularly after it has been windy.

It wouldn't be a wifi jammer but their are ways and devices for getting codes. Also, they may just try to brute force their way by guessing code. Depending on how old it is, code buttons can show more wear so they can also try to figure it out. She should change the code to be safe.

Well if there was no vehicle-the offender(s) led/carried a150 lb woman to….where?

Very early in the investigation, Border Patrol sent units containing arguably the best trackers in the world. They couldn’t track a guy carrying a human, or an elderly person stumbling through the desert?

And if no vehicle-where did they go?

Regarding cameras creating security…

Do they prevent an offender from breaching a door or opening a window? No.

Do they prevent an intruder from laying hands on you? No.

Do they physically defeat the intruder? No.

Cameras create good feelings.
And they can help catch your rapist/muderer/torturer after the fact.
And that’s all folks.

BBM I understand what you are saying to a POINT. That being said..where I live and then historically in the Jon Benet Ramsey case for context.. The citizens are put on alert. The news, is the news..and then there's a warning..IF they have a theory. in JBN they said there was no need for public concern, for example. THERE WAS NO PUBLIC WARNING! No "be vigilant".. for example. What they are NOT saying, to me, screams, This is not a random invasion. They KNOW this was targeted to one specific person. Lots of people have million+ dollar homes and have even wealthier parents/children etc.

People in lower socio economic circumstances are also robbed daily. Wealthy SG doesnt equal wealthy NG... and I feel it is presumptuous that because SG has assets and fame she would be a likely target through her mother. NG was a target..SG was the goal...Money was not the motivator. JMO
