Is this the point where we all turn to acknowledge the really nasty elephant in the room, the biggest 'career ending/dampening mis-conduct' story of the 21st century?

We know SG has not been working due to surgery in December, but we've also seen an explosion of that nasty story in the last three months, and we're in the very earliest stages of reprecussion, with resignations starting to flutter down like the first leaves of fall. Any interviews or investigative reporting SG did on that story is already out there, maybe scheduled to be re-aired, maybe not. Maybe the point wasn't to silence *her*, as much as send a warning to other journalists who might be considering joining the elephant hunt?
Which nasty story are you referencing here? I went back to Cryptic's post but didn't see it.

A connection if you consider Mile Marker 230 as possible location to find NG.

This area seems quite plausible, and for the perp to plan a place that connects with SG's talk of Psalm 23 in her book makes a lot of sense.

Especially if we think about this guy as somebody who wanted to be seen as important and clever.

Southern Arizona is very dry, rugged territory. Lakes/ponds are few and far between. The closest lake of any size is 2 and a half hours north and in the middle of a reservation, not a likely place for this purpose. I agree that one would certainly want to get rid of the evidence that could get you at least locked up for life as quickly and closely as possible. The vastness and baroness of the local terrain is something most people can't comprehend until they see it first hand.

Respectfully, I disagree. Rose Canyon Lake is just over an hour from NG's home. It is part of Coronado National Forest, though, and the gates are closed during the winter months so access would be more difficult, but probably not impossible. The forest itself is 1.7 MILLION acres.

The Epstein stuff. Some people have posited that her covering the victims could be motivation for some sort of 'silencing' attempt from powerful entities.

I don't buy it myself but a lot of important people are implicated and could, in theory, be capable of that sort of thing

I admit to following the case closely but not this forum for the last couple of weeks. With media going away (except for BE )and family leaving and resources downsized not much news coming out. Not even a weekly presser. I sort of feel they have a suspect and just not enough evidence to charge yet. What I really want t o know is why is Nancy's car returned and Annie's still considered "evidence"?

I’m not quite following the thought process of buying a hyper realistic silicone mask only to cover it in a ski mask. Not judging at all, just haven’t yet seen an explanation that satisfies me.

When I google the use of silicone masks by criminals, generally it appears that the realistic masks are used as the main mask to disguise and distract from their features. If anything, the ski mask on top would serve to accentuate the shape of the head (I do recall theories about padding, yes). And a basic latex mask underneath would be cheaper and serve basically the same purpose, aside from possibly altering the appearance of the eyes? MOO.

I dunno. Apologies and appreciation in advance.
I am thinking that there was something under the ski mask. Remember how an intruder would put a nylon stocking over his face and the features could be so distorted? I am thinking a thin something or other under the ski mask is definitely a possibility. Used for protection against DNA shedding and facial feature distortion. Additionally and as an aside, I do think he looks like the bridge of his nose is slender...if that matters in identification. I dunno. JMO

Given that the perp planned and executed this crime so carefully, I would imagine that the perp had a solid plan in place for where to get rid of NG's body. And, I would also think that he wouldn't want to be driving around very long with NG's body in the car.

Yes, there was a lot of rain in January in Tucson. But, either way, the perp likely considered a lake or small body of water.
Re Perp had a place to take NG’s body.
Since he maybe drove down Camino Real to leave foothills, then, maybe, got on River road, then freeway, East side of town, then to desert. If this was his route, she may be somewhere east of town.
He probably is a younger person, who has hiked, ridden bikes, taken ATV to his own meaningful, hidden spots in the desert. I wish locals, or the Cajun Navy would look at special, local, desert areas East of town.
Remember Strava, outdoor app? Kaitlin Armstrong used this app, to see where Mo and Colin were. Perhaps locals use, could point to Desert hideaway spots.

I see, thanks!

My thoughts on that are a lot of other people have exposed or pushed for exposure of Epstein's "clients" since 2019 when SG interviewed survivors. I just don't see why someone who wanted to punish someone for the explosion of information would go all the way back to 2019 and hold her accountable instead of many others who were catalysts for the file release.

I realize though I'm applying logic to a person whose mind is twisted but JMO if this is a Savannah thing it's about something else.

It's not black and white, it's IR, which means you can't estimate colour. What looks like depth of colour is more about absorption and reflectivity of the IR light. If what I've read on here I've understood correctly. Please, science nerds, correct me if I'm wrong. The light spectrum and its photography are not my areas.

2 things. The whites of your eyes are the whites of your eyes. Can we infer from the photo below that light things become darker and dark things become lighter due to infa-red? Secondly, could that be a taser in the perp's pocket and not a walkie talkie as some have opined? Jmo ( I cant find the pocket photo) TY

Plus on a purely practical level, a hyper-realistic silicone mask seems like it would be a) expensive (doesn't track with other gear coming from cheaper places like Walmart), b) easier to trace the purchase of, and c) in combination with a ski mask, probably hot, sweaty and generally uncomfortable, even on a relatively cool night
Just look for an idiot creep with heat rash bumps all over his head. 😉

Has NG’s been returned?
I heard that from a couple of reports so no concrete quote on that. EVen if it had not I would understand as it was at the crime scene. But Annie and her husband have been "cleared" and yet no car returned. Maureen who is often on with BE said normally cars are processed and returned fairly quickly. It has been weeks.

And somewhere where he could easily drop her off directly off of a road that he was driving. I'm also thinking east and/or northeast of town since that's convenient and has some fairly isolated places.

If LE had some suspects from Walmart, gun shop and/or other places, that could possibly help them focus on particular areas where the perp might live, if he lives in Tucson.

Since he planned everything fairly meticulously (e.g. doing this crime on the night of a full moon, covering himself so completely as to avoid shedding DNA or recognition), it seems he would have spent a lot of time planning a perfect spot to leave NG. And, the closer to NG's house and to his route to his home, the better.

I am struck by the lack of unified community involvement in support for the Guthrie family. To my knowledge only one small church service way back when. SG was so very proud of Tucson her home town and yet where is the support? YT streamers have been the only organizers and those had no turnout from the community. I am really wondering if the average Tucson resident has. even heard of this kidnapping?

Good ideas about Psalm 23. Maybe some literal reference for perp, placement of body.

Just a thought, by the time SG spoke of Psalm 23, NG’s body had probably already been placed in its resting spot.😢

IMO, Psalm 23 is many Christians’ favorite verse, as it speaks to fear, that God will always be with us, to strengthen us, no matter what happens in life, and even in death.

I think the Psalm 23 reference was made by SG, because SG and NG bonded so much over their Christian faith. SG wanted to include, as a prayer for NG, if she was still alive, or for herself & family if NG had passed.

BBM Look, lol, I get lost backing out of the driveway so east and west are meaningless to me. HOWEVER, some of you live in the area and even more have a mental built in compass that I dont possess. How about this in regards to Psalm 23? TYIA MOO
Agua Caliente Park on the far east side of Tucson is the premier spot forpastures and ponds, featuring a 100-acre oasis with three spring-fed, restored ponds and historic ranch grounds. Other key spots forponds and wetlands include Sweetwater Wetlands for birdingReid Park for alake/fountain, and Silverbell Lake at Christopher Columbus Park.

Are you talking about searching for Nancy or some other kind of support?

People did put up beautiful displays of flowers, and notes of love and prayers outside of Nancy's house.

Nanos pretty much asked people not to arrange their own search parties, I think that's why we haven't seen much of that
