We know now that the ransom has NOT been paid, at least not the full amount.

Is this normal in ransom cases? Is anything normal in this case? Ah! I need the history of ransoms. This one just. Feels Off
would we even have anything to compare it to? The world has changed so much, it's 2026.

Does this mean the ransom notes are legit?

I am so confused because what is being shown to the public seems to be totally different than what it seems like is going on behind the scenes.

In regards to SGs new instagram post. First impression is that NG is dead (idk why a kidnapper would admit that since it's their only leverage).

Very confused what return our mother so she can celebrate with us means. (Is this in regards to her recent birthday)

They end it by saying "we will pay" (pay for the return of her body? or NG alive)

JMO
I had that thought too. That they now know she is dead and they want to simply bring her home. But the "celebrate with her" seemed to suggest she is still alive. So I concluded the family have received a threat to NG's life and are now resigned to paying whatever amount is being demanded. But then the "this is very valuable to us" is a very odd thing to say about a live person being returned :(

I was struck by the “this is very valuable to us”. Does that mean anything else on the surface? Seemed odd.

Wow. They will pay. This is crazy.

I noticed 3 or 4 lines that seemed coded or responses or script lines the perp wanted to hear.

Its tricky. My dad died and a few months before that his attorney died and the practice was closed. All the old copies of the will were in storage boxes in the dead attorneys warehouse and my sister an attorney presented a new will whereby I, the oldest daughter was cut out. I hired my own attorney they said looked like first page of will was removed and replaced but long battle ahead in court. These things with family and money get crazy REAL quick. My sister and my dad's secretary worked together to edit his will he had saved on his computer. Scanned in signed by his former attorney. I didn't have the money or heart for the court battle while grieving my dad and raising kids, so I just went my own way empty handed. So I dont put anything past anyone!!!

Oh my lord that is insane! Is unbelievable what some people are capable of.

I share this opinion someone in the brothers background with military expierence

The focus is on savannahs status but wouldn't a military person be better at avoiding detection

I was thinking about something different.

The brother is a good-looking ex-pilot. One always thinks about "a begrudged ex" who once was disliked by NG? Or thought that NG didn't like them?

This is one of the strangest cases that I have seen. It has shades of JonBenet Ramsey and the McStay family cases.
Yes -- you are so on the money. I covered both of those cases and sadly, I went to see McStay in jail with McStay's daughter, a sweet young woman who was SO DESPERATE to prove that her father was innocent. McStay lead me down a lot of rabbit holes. Another mess... But still, not as crazy as what happened to JBR and what's going on now with Nancy.

The video is giving "please return the body so we can grieve properly" 🥲

I know a lot of people are resistant to the idea of kidnapping, think it’s the family etc. but I just don’t think so. This isn’t just a normal woman, she’s the mother of a celebrity known by millions. Anyone could’ve targeted her.

Kidnappings and ransoms do happen. Strange and unprecedented things happen all the time. ☹️

I just hope LE has clues and is gaining on this person. They may be smart, but no way they’re smarter than all the federal, state, local resources being poured into this.

This is just horrible. I'm also so confused as to what is actually happening here.

People can comment on ransom and say they would pay it and that is the emotional response and I'm willing to bet that the family have wanted to pay out since the first demand

The fbi will be advising the family to wait and assess the situation first because they will be thinking logically not emotionally .

A person , a mother ,a grandmother ,Nancy has come to harm whether that is physically or mentally and emotionally you cannot help but think with your heart so it is understandable why people would ask why has the ransom not being paid yet

LE will be doing all they can to get a grip on what's gone down and if all roads of investigation lead to a kidnapper you can guarantee ransom negotiations will begin but I would imagine they will be held behind closed doors so as not to encourage other copycat scenarios

Time is of the essence though as perps get panicked and we don't know if Nancy has access to her medication. Even the stress could have led to a loss of life .

What a cruel situation 😢 💔

So we can celebrate could be taken both ways? Oh dear.

Maybe they have seen some sort of proof that the kidnapper(s) have Nancy and so they decided to pay in hopes to get her back

Just when I think things are headed in a different direction this gets posted and we’re back to a kidnapping. I’m entirely kerfluffled.
Agreed. I would imagine that given the amount of time LE was at the house yesterday, any additional “proof” provided in the follow-up message was thoroughly investigated. I imagine that if LE was able to disprove any of that “proof” they would have advised the family as such. The fact that the family released what appears to be a response to the follow-up message suggests to me that there is at least some legitimacy to the note (either the sender really does/did have NG or they know NG/have previously been to the house). MOO.

Some type of proof of life?

I feel like that can go either way. Just because they've responded publicly to the ransom demand does not automatically make it legit. It may be the case they feel it is legit, but the response alone does not indicate whether or not it's legit. For arguments sake, lets say its two separate offenders - the family could absolutely believe that paying the ransom will bring their mom home, only to find there was no kidnapping and no amount of ransom money would have ever brought their mother home because there was foul play committed by a different offender. Just my 2 pennies worth
