I'm seriously considering forcing members pass a media literacy course before being allowed to post.
There's a lot of LOLs but I'm actually serious.

the way they struggled to cover the camera makes me think this person is not a seasoned criminal. Yes, they came very prepared in terms of concealing their identity and fingerprints etc. But they really struggled with the camera. Using the flowers was weird. Like obviously that wasn’t going to work.
Seems like an experienced person would have had the duct tape strips ready to stick over the camera

but you won't get money immediately from inheritance/insurance without a body.
And the many years of waiting to declare a missing person as deceased. The insurance won’t pay out if there even a slight chance a beneficiary was involved.

Question for the guys who have carried guns before - is that a comfortable / uncomfortable place to wear one?

I’m a female so no crotch issues here, though it’s odd.
I’m also diabetic with a pump on one side and a sensor on the other of my stomach so dunno if that would influence me (never carried a gun before)
Standing up it is ok, sitting down not so much. I prefer other areas when I carry.

MOO

If you’re wanting future children it’s definitely dangerous I’m guessing?

Do we know, forgive for what is probably the dumbest question ever, what flowers grow by the walkway at NG's house?
Purple trailing lantana. Very common ornamental color landscape plant in desert regions.

Hopefully she will be found soon

Yep, declared “legally deceased.”

Sorry if this has been mentioned recently and/or not allowed but does anyone know if AG has had her roof repainted recently? I know NG did and that led to them finding the previously unseen device.

I know nothing about flowers but someone said the other day they were a type that started with L (idr the name, sorry) and that they smell like cat pee
Lantana?

Just a thought here.

Could the perp have been wearing theater makeup on their face to make it look similar to a Charlie Chaplin like appearance?
That's what immediately came to my mind.

I felt so bad when I saw that gun, he must have planned to threaten her to get what he wanted, maybe to get her out of the house.

ex-Cops talking on STS now are saying it's extremely unusual

Probably already said, but I don't think that's facial hair. That's the lining of an inner mask, IMO.

YES that is it!! Also I realized after I posted that that many other people also replied so sorry for my unhelpful response :)

Alicia Alcuna was on Fox. She said They showed the videos and pics to the family first and no one recognized him. Then they released it to the public. My thought is, that was yesterday. that is what prompted SG to make a new video asking for community to report anything unusual. My opinion is this guy came well armed, had no intention of leaving there without NG and was prepared with a stocked backpack. This was not going to be a teaparty. This was ALWAYS a kidnap for ransom situation. MOO

The 'look' is well prepared but these initial actions say the opposite.

One theory is she opted in to video event feedback or something.

That allows nest to help troubleshoot issues and improve the product.

Regardless, the fact that it took them over a week to recover this stuff shows that it’s not easily accessible, even to Google.
I know just enough about systems and servers to be annoying (but not enough to be in the know). These setups are huge, with layers like live databases, incremental backups, snapshot archives, and leftover logs. Whoever pulled these images probably had to dig through different storage tiers, reconcile metadata, and work through permission layers (basically combing through copies most people would never see). That takes serious effort and I think that’s pretty impressive.

I can’t help but wonder if the person in the video realizes these files were actually recoverable (are they realizing now that there are pics and video of them when everyone thought the camera saved nothing).

We've discussed them here previously and they look like Purple Lantana.
