I was just thinking that... there must be more footage they were able to retrieve. At some point the blood splatters appeared at the front door after these videos.

But likely after the camera was disabled/removed.

This thread is going to be shut down if people keep posting photos of folks who are not suspects
whoops, that's my bad. it was removed. are we allowed to post photos (or info on) of people who know the family ? it wasn't a random person.

I'm behind on comments due to life life-ing right now, but I've been looking for a vehicle in those photos and video. It can't be far away. It's not like he could walk that poor woman down the street to a waiting car. I wasn't able to see a vehicle, but maybe someone here has.
Or, maybe there are pics of it that haven't been released yet.
IMO.
no vehicle in the footage released. However, another poster pointed out that the perp (in the video) came from the garage side of the home and didn't follow the front walkway up the whole way from the have circle so likely a car parked out of camera range. In the drown footage from earlier in the week, there were 2 solar cameras on the casita/guest house. One faced the driveway near the garage area so maybe this latter camera caught the car. (The camera could be seen on the brick above the sliding glass door and the solar panel was visible from the drown footage.

Nail on the head. Poor holster, poor location. This person has no idea what they’re doing.
I'm not a gun owner, or a guy, but dang - that looks risky

Foreign purchase? Maybe made in say Switzerland and sold there? Something along that line?

We held off on posting this out of respect for the family, but after today’s news, here’s a closer look at Nancy Guthrie’s front walk

Looks like that Amazon package was delivered after the kidnapping. Did LE even check that it wasn't something symbolic sent by the perp? You can order customized stuff on Amazon with custom text too. It could technically contain a message from whoever took her.

Do we suspect there are clips of Nancy also, we’re just not being shown?
If the cams were taken off before they entered the house, then there wouldn’t be. Who knows though? If they have clips of her they may know she was taken alive. It looks like the cams were taken down beforehand though.

The gloves look leather (or faux leather) to me. They appear to have seams on the outer edge and on the fingertips. JMO

Looks like latex gloves worn over yet another pair of gloves….IMO

I wouldn’t post pics unless LE releases them as part of the investigation. I don’t know why we need to see them anyway.

This is the time to (a) install security, regardless of how rudimentary it is (b) convince elderly parents to give in to the necklace/alert device - many resist and it might have saved Nancy in this situation (c) buy stock in Ring and/or Google

NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT!

We were not comfortable with the Ring cameras and swapped them for Eufy; the plus sides: no subscription, and the base unit inside the house has a memory card. All the cameras feed into the same base unit, and we can search by date, and location.

If older (like us!) parents are hesitant, perhaps this option would be more comfortable for them. In our opinion, the picture quality is great, the night vision is crisp, and we can speak to anyone outside through security or doorbell camera. Also, they are solar powered and the ones we have for front and back door scan and pan.

You are all informed that, if something happens to us, please come direct LE that the base unit is discreetly stored in the front room upstairs. 🙂

Seriously, though, we wouldn't like to think we are old, but we are and admitting it has led us to be more aware of how to be even more safety/security conscious.

Also adding what I have in other posts, hope not annoying - check out the Noonlight app (911 alert with your personal info/location with touch of a button), door jam alarms - cheap on Amazon/good to bring on trips or have on doors at night, pepper spray next to bed/in car/in purse

Exactly. Imagine being an innocent person posted on this thread. Not okay

Oops, I meant to quote someone but my point stands

I saw similarities between physical traits of the person and the photos released, but respect the rules

I was just talking to someone and they had a really good thought. The suspect had a small flashlight in his mouth that he would have had to have pulled out using his gloved hands. If he touched something in that house he may have transferred DNA to that item.

Do we know, forgive for what is probably the dumbest question ever, what flowers grow by the walkway at NG's house?
Curious why you ask? Video shows him pull them up. They are also in the after photo on the tile.

I'm seriously considering forcing members pass a media literacy course before being allowed to post.

Maybe, but not from the same doorbell camera.

the way they struggled to cover the camera makes me think this person is not a seasoned criminal. Yes, they came very prepared in terms of concealing their identity and fingerprints etc. But they really struggled with the camera. Using the flowers was weird. Like obviously that wasn’t going to work.
