I don't think we know that she opened the door. IIRC, LE first said there was forced entry and then backtracked to not saying whether or not there was forced entry. So there may well have been forced entry or some other lapse in security at some point around the house.
No chance she opened the door. She obviously was asleep and they broke into the house, whether forced or not (we can assume forced entry since that’s what the sheriff said at the first press conference before walking it back)
They could have carried her over their shoulder. I just want to know how well the area surrounding her home has been searched?? Everyone hole, nook, cranny, cistern, tank, etc.

Do we know she did though? I really doubt that she did unless there is proof of that. I find it hard to believe she would....especially since it looks like there are windows to either side of the doorway that she can look through.

If you're insinuating they waited to release this information until Patel was in town, I highly doubt that. It would be irresponsible and ethically terrible. If that is the case, it would be reprehensible.
