Wow! This is pretty much unprecedented, a real kidnapping for ransom.

We are praying for you Nancy. May you come home soon.
I highly doubt that’s the case, but they are certainly behaving like it might be real.

This would draw out real abductors, or those trying to profit with a ruse.

This bothers me though, because it could be an indication they are lost.

Speaking directly to the abductor, and asking for proof of life.

Also explains the tripod thing we heard earlier.

Wow. That's some news. I actually got chills reading what Savannah has said about the ransom note. What a crazy messed up world we live in.

Praying for you Nancy and family, praying that you come home safe and well soon.

IMO, no to both.
I don't understand how this conclusion is being drawn. I see it as I'm getting desperate and chasing down one last avenue publicly which is to appeal directly to anyone who might be holding her for ransom, but without any concrete knowledge that someone is or isn't.

If this is truly a ransom- how awful for them, and for crime in our country. I would never want this to continue here.

So if real, they have real images or video, or they are quite tech savvy, or AI savvy and have faked it. What an awful wait to try to track down who sent it.

So it seems that LE is not at all interested in anywhere except Nancy's house and Annie's house. That's very telling.
Why would a family member do this, it makes no sense. I would guess someone who knows NG would be more likely, a worker or acquaintance. IMO

I feel weird about the family video.

I wonder if the evening with dinner and mahjong set something off. Nancy could have made a little speech along the lines of: "I've been meaning to tell you for a while . . .I've hidden such and such in/under . . .etc, etc. Just a thought.

I feel like they were likely advised to go on and make this video. Everything about this is extremely disturbing.

Your thoughts echo mine but much more eloquently than mine. First the bruhaha over her SIL and AG, then that got walked back, then people show up at both houses, now this? There's no dot connecting, it's all over

It would also potentially open a new line of communication - one that could be monitored or analysed or whatever.

Okay so now who was it that called the family Sunday to say she wasn't at church when she hadn't gone in years. She watched online.

I’ve been silently following this case but now with the family video, I’m more confused than ever. How are they not able to trace these ransom notes? Am I understanding correctly that they were sent via email?

absolutely gut wrenching. I hope shes alive and the randsomers send them proof!!
Is there any other way to see this other than ig? Thx

The statement surprised me. It seemed like with the rumors about SIL, and then the flurry of activity, that there must be something there. But the family really seems to be taking the ransom note seriously, and it explains some of the visits and rumors of today in a different light. For the sake of the family, I truly hope that everyone is being truthful. And that Mrs. Guthrie is alive and well. That poor family.
