So it appears the Uber driver, at approx. 5:32 pm, provided the last independent confirmation NG was alive. IMO

Snipped by me

2) How could a broken camera detect someone after it was disabled? Could it be instead a motion sensor inside the house like we used to have?

My gut feeling is that LE has video of the vehicle involved from multiple neighbor's door cameras and that they are trying to trace the vehicle to where it wasn't seen anymore passing by and therefore get to the point of knowing about where the driver either parked or left onto highways. IMO, video cameras are the most important forensic tool to help guide LE for facts. I believe that takes a lot of time to canvass the area but that ultimately, LE will know the kind of vehicle (make and model) but probably not a license plate.
LE said the doorbell cam was “disconnected.” Could it have been removed from the entrance but then carried by the intruder, and if battery powered, continue to detect the motion for which they have no video at 2:12am?

Without a subscription, after 3 hours, my phone alert and recording disappear.
Thank you. I was hoping to hear from someone who has them. I cannot even imagine why they set it up like this. I am not a Eufy representative, but I literally have video clips of my front door and backyard for months and months. Ithas a limit, but not straight time limit. It is a recorded event time limit. No subscription. Only the price of the camera, which is only a little over $100. I think people should rethink their camera choices! That Nest parameters seem crazy, to me!!! Unhelpful even, for a security camera.

Can I ask? Why is the focus on A’s husband? Is this solely down to AB or is it something else?

Gotcha. What about knowing that she wasn't paying for the subscription and all they had to do was physically remove it?
For mine, no one knows but me that I have no subscription. The doorbell doesn’t appear any different.

Also TMZ sharing things seems so irresponsible. I mean, I know that's what they do, but like even in a criminal investigation?
Another poster raised the possibility that the family has been told to "go public" to humanize both the victim and themselves. Some of the national sharing might be a continuation of that.

Likewise, it could be a way to gratify his (or their) ego. Maybe something like: Yes, your crime is the talk of the nation. It is being mentioned daily on all news services. And, Its being discussed in detail on ours. After all, it befits your status as: Criminal Mastermind of the Century.

I do have them.

How would the perp know that Nancy's doorbell cam wasn't feeding to the cloud and by removing it they were safe? Another question I have is how were they able to walk up to it and it not capture that activity and alert to her phone? Maybe investigators have that alert from her phone and it captured the activity...unless she never downloaded the app. Probably been discussed on here a few dozen times but I missed it.
Someone who is familiar with her home would know this.

I don’t know why, but I’m starting to feel he’s involved here more than before. Someone knew where the camera(s) were and disconnected one and a floodlight. It could be a worker or someone else who has been there before I suppose. When the sheriff said we’re reviewing camera videos from other neighborhoods, it made me take note. Obviously they are, but
It just felt weird to me to say that. Also everyone is still a suspect at this time. Seriously, it could be someone else and I might change my mind, but not yet. Street cameras , home security cameras, neighbors cameras, cellphone data, car data I’m sure is being analyzed, proof of where he/they were etc. I don’t know who else could be involved that helped to remove and relocate N outside of A, maybe a friend/business associate/shady business partner who is owed money? I don’t want to see he/they (maybe A) are involved, but something feels off to not consider this.’MOO
OK.... so now THIS post got me thinking: so they don't what to say SIL is NOT a suspect because they have another (housekeeper? gardener? pool person? etc?) in mind and want to have THEM thinking that they aren't being looked at yet....

She is the mother of one of the most well-known media personalities in the world.

I would not be surprised if this turned out to be a crazy fan.

In America, possibly, but certainly not in the world. I'm in the UK and had never heard of her before this week (and only heard of her via this case through websleuths, it is not getting coverage outside the US).

It is an imortant piece, but if for example it wasnt forced, it points in a certain direction and they may not want that person to feel they are a suspect?
I’m catching up so easily could have missed something but it not confirming forced entry, could that still leave the possibility that there was a) simply a door unlocked or b) a lock that could be easily picked without leaving evidence that it was picked? To me, it seems like there might be ways for there to have been nefarious entry by an unknown actor that could have been “unforced” and the police just don’t have hard evidence like a broken window or busted door to be able to say entry was “forced”. But maybe I missed something

My own children don’t know if I have a subscription or not. It’s never come up.

Why bother with inside cameras, if she had no alarms on doors , windows etc?
right!? we have entry sensors, hard wired cams and close cams..... LAYERS, people... LAYERS! if one fails.... the other picks up!

But the ransom note wasn't sent immediately, so the author of the ransom note could have seen news about the apple watch. The FBI speaker at the presser appeared to nod his head in agreement when the reporter made that point.

JMO
There’s also pictures out there that show N wearing an Apple Watch.

AB. That is it. And everyone here STILL keeps talking about him, even though LE has said they have no suspects.

  • #4,817
I don't think the FBI would report on the family's decision regarding paying the ransom. They are all waiting for communication from the suspect(s) of the ransom and so far no communication has been made.
I'll bet LE doesn't tell us when and if there is any communication from the disgusting cowardly POSs that took an 84 year old grandma from her home for their own nefarious purpose.

Just AB reporting on it. She hasn't been able to substantiate anything, just claiming she has a "source" that told her.

This may be a dumb question, but what does it mean by doorbell cam goes offline? Is that the point it was disconnected from wall? If so, how did it detect motion at 2:12?
It was stated that NG had other security cameras, not just the one at the front door.

But, what would he have done with her to keep her alive? Where?
well.... IMO, if it's him.... it's not a ransom case.... so.......... is tuscon like the socal desert with plentiful mines?
