Have there been any reports on NG medication? Did they count out to see what she should have left? Is it totally missing?

The thing is that without her medication she would be deceased by now. In order to successfully hold someone ransom they need to be alive.
The sheriff mentioned at today’s presser that they have been checking the records of pharmacies and hospitals to see if any of her meds have been filled. Considering that LE is confident that NG did not leave voluntary, the fact that they are checking to see if someone has obtained the meds she requires indicates to me that they have not been able to completely eliminate the possibility of a kidnap for ransom. MOO.

I didn’t watch the PC today but is this accurate?

“When asked if Cioni was among those being considered for her abduction, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos refused to be drawn.

'We're actively looking at everybody we come across in this case. Everybody. It would be irresponsible if we didn't talk to everybody”

I don't get how they have processed the whole house so fast , it looks to be 5-6,000 sq ft. it's HUGE.
3000 sq ft per info posted early on in the thread.

I'm seeing reports of neighbor reporting seeing unmarked white van a couple days before her disappearance. Can anyone find an approved link ?

Neighbors of Nancy Guthrie reported spotting a suspicious white van parked on their street in the days before the 84-year-old vanished.

I just listened to it now. He believes the origin of the ransom note is Tucson based.....due to particular phrases. Also he says that the same note sent to a Tuscon news station could be telling because someone out of the country or elsewhere in the US wouldn't necessarily know of that particul

I doubt in a hurry they would just take a couple pills from each bottle they would just grab bottles. I doubt they took any pills because they already, I can't say it, but either she is no longer with us or they have no intention of giving her back so why keep her alive. The note was to buy more time to live outside of prision or escape the country. People have said maybe the uber driver but they wouldn't know about the watch and importance of it to mention it or was the watch just a rumor I can't keep up it is going so all over the place.

Has any news reporter or guest analyst reported on/speculated on the amount of money that the perp(s) are liking asking for as ransom?

Yes, that sounds right. But he spoke further, and it sounded contrived. Really trying to sell "there's nothing to see here," as I saw it anyway.

Has there ever been a legitimate kidnapping for ransom where the family paid and the victim was let go alive?
Actually there are probably a lot more than we know:
You can look up the kidnapping of 9 year old Michelle Wiebe, March 1, 1979. The kidnappers (4 men) demanded 300K from her father, a wealthy car dealer. The father followed their demands and took the 300k in a bag to the location, a field, and dropped off the ransom. But just like the craziness of Fargo and the frenetic timing of a French farce..... a passing motorist saw the bag in the field and stopped to pick it up! The motorist, seeing all the money immediately took it to the police department! The kidnappers panicked when they realized someone else (the passing motorist) picked up the money.... and released the little girl from the rural motel where she was being held.

I don't think we've heard anything specific, just that it was in the "millions of dollars."

You know, I think that a garage door is convenient if you are old, and it is dark around.
Yes, didn't study the house photo, but sometimes the garage is accessible first from the driveway and you have to walk around to the front door. We primarily used our garage entrance for this very reason.

I don't know why that should be a problem, but I'll try to delete. Edit - done.
Its just Human trafficking always gets brought up, In almost every missing person case and its very rarely the case.

-This case the victim is high profile due to her daughter and close family connection, they would never want that kind of attention.

-They tend to pray on young adults that have no close family and wouldn't be noticed missing

Its just extremely unlikely, like .00000001 percent unlikely

During today's press conference, the Sheriff mentioned that the FBI would be putting up billboards with information on NG being missing and, presumably, the new reward information. I wonder how quickly they will do this. They better get them up quickly.

Makes sense for those things to be charging since it appears she had gone to bed as possibly evidenced by them not being able to identify what she was wearing and her day/dinner clothes possibly being found in room/hamper. MOO
It just donned on me that NG could have been wearing that Apple watch as a tracking device. Meaning, her kids probably purchased it for her. My mom has dementia and I belong to a Reddit Dementia forum. Lots of care givers ask others on the forum for advice on the best tracking devices to keep tabs on their loved ones. The Apple watch is a popular recommendation. I know NG does not have Dementia (or anything even close according to LE), but it's still possible one of her kids purchased it as a safery measure to be able to contact her or for her to use as an emergency alert device. All of this to say that it's really too bad she wasn't wearing it at the time of her disappearance.

The FBI has not been able to connect the bitcoin address to anyone according to the press conference today and well.. they haven't arrested anyone. They have had 3-4 days.
It's the crypto that moves into and out of a wallet that is traceable on the ledger (aka the blockchain) so it's the "spending" of crypto in a wallet that makes it traceable, not the existence of a wallet itself. That's true even if one uses a mixer/tumbler.
It sounds like the kidnapper wants millions of dollars worth of crypto, but it might be interesting to see how kidnapper behaves if their wallet was sent for example $20,000 - would the kidnapper leave $20,000 there forever or start moving it which provides clues for investigators. Even if they left the bitcoin untouched in the wallet for years, it's easy to set up an alert to monitor a wallet and if it ever started moving out of the wallet that would provide clues.

I think they may have thought responses to that may have gotten too political.

I see your point in what you were trying to communicate for sure.

Yes. Basically, he said they have identified NO PRIMARY SUSPECT(S)/NO PERSON OF INTEREST.

Additionally, he did emphasize that nobody has been cleared, and they are looking at everybody at this point.

I bet there are some that the public never hears of because it was never broadcast publicly.

that is what I am wondering...this. morning said he did not know they were going on instagram with a message? Making non stop rounds of talk shows. I just don't get it.
I think the FBI has taken over that part of the investigation in terms of anything about the ransom note, who they were sent to, how the family was advised to respond, etc. The Sheriff seems a little out of the loop. Or else he's just playing that way, but he's almost too forthcoming or not good at wording about many things that I tend to think he isn't part o the ransom discussions. You're right, he is doing a lot of media appearances which doesn't seem to be the norm in most cases.

Most missing person cases, you either have the family doing interviews, begging for help and trying to keep their case visible. Or it's high profile enough that it's getting coverage, but there's usually a family spokesperson or family attorney speaking on behalf of the family. In this case, it's getting full on media attention without the family or a spokesperson having to make appearances or speak. The Guthrie children's videos are speaking directly to a potential abductor, not the public. So I guess there's a void that the sheriff and media personalities are making the rounds instead.
