So, if this is indeed a true kidnapping for ransom, they did not think of taking something from the house? Or leaving something behind, an object, a letter, a something..? Maybe they did..?

As proof of authenticity they mention the broken floodlights? Something everyone close to the house could have observed (a local?). And then they mention something about where the Apple Watch was located? That gave me pause. You either plan a kidnapping for ransom in all details IMO including how to render proof of abduction or proof of victim’s life or you do not really plan a kidnapping, but it happens. In that case of all things why remembering the location of the Apple Watch??

Usually one keeps their (apple) watch in the same place overnight. Usually on a charger or on something that is a charger but looks like something else. Either way, this sounds like someone, who has routinely entered the house, like a cleaning crew or a contractor, or a friend. Someone, who is or was used to seeing that watch in that location. I believe the ransom note(s) is/are an after thought of an amateur, who took up more than they could swallow.

When they released the property I thought, okay, perhaps the abductor will show and leave something..and that’s why LE released it. If they indeed came back, they are fried now..just saying.

I would say chances are high they will get the person or people behind taking Mrs Guthrie. And I pray we will see her back safe and sound.

I don't know if these ransom emails are hoaxes are not. Going out to the scene again could be to verifiy that these emails are not hoaxes.

Agree with Friday Fan that the perp knew NG. IMHO, it's possible that a ransom email is legit but, in my opinion, it just seems more likely that the ransom messages are a distraction.

There's software designed to detect AI, and there are a lot of telltale signs of AI as well.

The issue is that AI is fed so much information that it can mimic human writing very easily. A lot of AI checkers can be quite redundant due to this and the advancements AI is making every single day. In my last year of university, this was an issue with many students and they couldn't prove it either way. It's frustrating and quite scary moving forward...jmo

Wasn't the letter received at 11am MST? Why wait so long to double check what was written in the note? It would've been the easiest way to initially verify it.

we don't know WHAT they are trying to authenticate. It could be a photo? a video? an audio file?

I imagine they just waited this long to tell the public.

It's interesting that some pieces of the lantana are laying directly on the blood drops. It looks like some pieces may have fell after the blood drops fell. Just an observation.

The blood droplets could have been present earlier than 2/1/26. The fact that flower debris on porch shows to me that little maintenance on keepting front door area clean.

Reporters would see if any forensic vehicles, coroners arrive though right? An ambulance would be more positive.
