I’m not an expert. But from the picture it seems like the person bleeding was trying to go in the house, had grabbed a handful of plants on their way to the door, stopped at the door to unlock/open it - that’s why the splatter is concentrated in one spot (as the person stopped and possibly had to remove other hand holding back the bleed or something) and also why the green plants were dropped near the door.
Or they were trying to get out of house???

So tired of this sheriff, seems amateurish.
On another point, it appears nobody has any idea where this poor woman is, or whether she's even alive. Every day that goes by, the chances continue to diminish.
I'm worn out.
The FBI should be able to identify a suspect if it was an inside job (family, servants, etc)
I don't get it, and I don't want to hear anything about LE playing 4-D chess or any such nonsense.
The full resources of the federal govt are being brought to this and...nothing.
This is sadly the way of solving crimes. The FBI is in charge. With the limited information, what would you suggest they do? Because I am at a loss. It took 5 weeks to catch the Idaho4 killer and I thought that was pretty fast.

There was a local case a few years ago where a teen went missing for nearly a month. Turned out he'd crawled down the chimney of a house just across the street and got stuck. Search dogs had been in the area and property a few times and never alerted. It just happens so many times.
Harley from Port Clinton, OH :( I'm local to the area as well ...

Have your frail, mobility limited 84 year old Mom take an Uber to daughter house 4 miles from home when daughter or son in law had car to pick up is just despicable in my opinion. I wish Uber driver took NG home cause maybe she would still be alive and there would be proof of NG actually returning home.
It is known that she returned home because her pacemaker connected to her Apple phone at her house about 9:45, I think. Despicable is a strong word. According to family, Nancy was able to get around in her house just fine but not good at walking long distances. Uber is as safe as any other type of transportation. Nancy was known to be spunky and independent, maybe she wanted to take Uber as to not be a burden. We just don't know all the dynamics here.

I will leave this in all of your capable hands as I need to relocate. BBL!

But why would someone seeking ransom point to the body???
Maybe the kidnappers are giving up, can’t show proof of life. I doubt the body is in Nancy’s yard.

Is the author of these messages sending riddles? What are they searching for? So far they're on 2 different roofs, they kind of looked through brush and something left of the front door, and a small rock. And maybe a floodlight? And part of an HVAC system.

I'm still not sure this is related to the ransom letters. They received those letters almost 7 hours ago.
They may have prioritized trying to trace the message first since the sender is claiming to have NG. MOO.

Thank you, yes I knew that SG used the line in her address to the kidnappers. But I was wondering specifically what it referenced in the movie and what it might mean that she used the line,
In the movie Silence of the Lambs the mother of a missing young women says in her plea to the abductor something similar to what SG said in her plea “ask her you’ll know”. The mother in the movie is also a public figure I believe.

I just watched them on the roof. Looked like a pretty half arse search IMO. If that’s what their searches consist of I’m pretty surprised but I’m not LE so I’m sure they know what they are doing
like most of their searches imo

KOLD Ransom note was sent through newsroom tip system - so not an email after all.

No proof of life in message. Not calling it a "ransom note."

No further demands made.

Message did not offer a way for the family to communicate.

Does contain a detail that would perhaps allow investigators to determine it's the same person who sent the first note.
See this seems really strange to me. If they want their money why didn’t they send proof of life. They originally said there would be no more communication which they have now gone against but still haven’t given proof of life even after the 2 family videos requesting just that.

I keep saying that to myself as well....
In this case, 7 hours is a very long time.

It does seem that way. There is an obvious focus around that roof area, below, near it and even officers looking at the view points whilst standing on the roof. jmo.

That’s what it seems like to me. Police are searching for something specific that was mentioned in the letter to figure out if ransom letters are real. How they don’t know a week into this is beyond me.

I don't think LE is interested in vehicles that may have been at the Circle K. They're interested in what video their cameras may have captured of cars coming and going near that neighborhood. I'll leave it at that. I suspect the pieces are coming together.

My opinion only.
Fargo, that's brilliant. Now that you're suggested this, that's exactly what I'm also thinking they might be doing. Gas stations tend to have multiple cameras and angles. And it's so close to their neighborhood.

Perhaps they can't give proof of life. :(

You have no clue what they are searching for. Perhaps it’s not something small or hidden.
Maybe this second note - that is not a ransom letter and does not give proof of life - is more of a taunting one
Suggesting to LE - if you want to solve this - go back to the property - all the clues are there - you just missed them

Yikes - diversion ?/cat and mouse ?/ damage control ?/

Certainly keep LE busy and controlling the narrative
