I think this former Navy SEAL commander/hostage negotiator is insightful. Says person is not negotiating in good faith, has shown propensity for violence (NG's blood at front door), and that you basically can't pay without proof of life.

In the movie Silence of the Lambs the mother of a missing young women says in her plea to the abductor something similar to what SG said in her plea “ask her you’ll know”. The mother in the movie is also a public figure I believe.
Thank you for posting this. I get it now. Their roles are just reversed at the moment.

What was the early January contractor doing at the home? Does anyone remember? Roof work? Maybe placing a camera or two to plot out a nefarious scheme?

(If LE placed those cameras/objects then why did they look like they were on an egg hunt trying to find them?)

Per Anderson Cooper; “the sheriff told NBC News there was a landscaper, a pool maintenance and maybe a housekeeper and they’ve all been cooperative..they’ve spoken to the people who have worked in the house according to him and they provided certain information that was helpful.”

rbbm. Why?
'(NewsNation) — Former FBI agent Daniel Brunner told NewsNation many aspects of the disappearance of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, aren’t consistent with “traditional kidnapping.”

“They want attention, they want the spotlight to be put on this incident,” Brunner said of the purported kidnappers.'

''Brunner found it bizarre that the ransom notes were sent to media outlets rather than directly to the family and warned that “the more attention this gets, the more dangerous it is for” Guthrie.''

Interesting that the perp used the news agency's contact form and didn't send it to an active email address. I suppose that might add an extra layer of protection because if the form isn't designed well then putting in a fake return email would be plausible. Which would mean any tracing would be heavily IP dependent, and those are easier to divert and spoof from what've read. If a basic contact form it would also explain no proof of life attachments (data from images or videos can be removed in most publishing software applications).

Yes a trap, I wonder if they will find anything and wonder what made them decide on tonight
Maybe this has something to do with multiple warrants. LE gets permission earlier to put up cameras. Then later they get permission to retrieve data and view it.

FOX drone stream is just FBI agents shining flashlights around now

I meant what could possibly be the point of killing a grandmother, apparently not stealing anything, and hiding her within the house? For what purpose?
That would go back to an argument and someone losing their temper and then had to find somewhere to hide her quickly. They had hours. I wish they would find her soon

Brian Entin and crew were staked out at the house as soon as it was turned back over. They went right up to the door and had drones flying. How would the perp get in and do something shady in the backyard without being seen?
Under cover of night and BE and crew sleeping, it isn't hard for stealth actor to have access. Ask any Marine or Navy Seal. They could come and go in and out of your house while you were in your living room on a couch without you knowing. A determined perp could also have come back to NG house. Perhaps for medication. If she is being held nearby.

if she was in or immediately around the house, i don't think she would have disconnected from the pacemaker app?
Someone looked it up before... The phone would need to be within 3-6 feet of the person.

Are we sure these were cameras that they were retrieving? I felt like they were looking for something and if cameras were retrieved were they put up there by perps or police?

I’m talking about the kidnapper, not the family.

I was just saying that the kidnapper holds the cards. He doesn't have to provide proof of life to get paid.

just beautiful however what I keep thinking is that is a lot of house, garden, pool and land for one older woman to. keep up with. I know she has lots of help but I would not be comfortable sleeping there alone.
But she has been there in that friendly neighborhood for 50 years... I do not think that she would agree with you...
up until now, of course.

Just my opinion, but it looked like the police had set up cameras on the main house roof vent stack looking into the back yard over the back door that leads into the garage; on the front corner of the guest house roof looking out at the driveway toward the street, and on the side of the guest house roof looking out toward the covered open back porch on the main home. Remember how LE turned the house back over quickly - guessing they set these cameras up and are back today recovering footage from these cameras. LE may have set a trap. Just my thoughts based on what was seen in the drone view footage.
Wonder how the media and others missed seeing them up there doing the set up?

For everyone that thinks this is a search for a hidden body - it's a different kind of winter in Tucson. Today was 78 degrees. A body in a house would have been obvious days ago.
Oh wow, wish my winter was that warm, thank you for that

It looked like my camera with a solar charger.it looked like there were 2 up there.
Ooooh, this would make sense! Whatever it was wasn't hardwired.

More and more this goes on and all the coverage, feels very media-driven. It’s the mother of well known news anchor, it’s getting nonstop coverage, and the “ransom” notes going to news outlets, plus the cameras being removed feels like someone wanted publicity to share their hate for media in my opinion.

we actually do not know that it was not sent to other news networks
But that is the point.... the other networks would not come out with it QUICKLY....once TMZ came out, they could all keep quiet and therefore avoid legal issues.
