Too tired to look for it now but IIRC wasn’t there a report early this morning that said the family had all left AG/ SIL’s house?
I may have dreamed it also. 😂
I don't blame any of them - the energy in that house must have been crazy. Although I guess I'd also want everyone in one spot....

did the sheriff really say he didn't bring lights during the investigation because of the dark sky ordinance!? We have dark sky ordinance where i live and i'm pretty sure that having flood lights at a CRIME SCENE would most certainly be allowed! (i'll add IMO since i don't know tuscon's specifically)

edit for typo

Because LE may have wanted word to spread, thereby increasing pressure on some and giving notice to others; just my random opinion fwiw.
Interesting possibility. MO

I think the Circle K and possible vehicle thing is a big deal. There are a lot of roads, a lot of gas stations on those roads, and a lot of cars driving by. For LE to go to a specific gas station and ask about a specific car (or even a specific make) suggests that they think they are onto something, IMHO. This is not like asking every gas station in the region about any car that might have passed by. It's asking one gas station about (presumably) one car.

Then again it's possible they did ask many other gas stations and it's just this Circle K that blabbed about it. But my gut tells me that this is an indicator of a development.

You don't have to enter a home to say something to the homeowner.

And even if they weren't able to make contact, that's obviously what they were there to do.
Exactly. Brilliant. MO

Interesting that they missed them - I'd hope that LE would know exactly where everyone is......

I had never seen that info of the phone in the car, so I Google searched.

I did find one publication did say that (that I can find thus far), Independent.
Excellent catch. And this was an early report, too. Interesting...

As I believe MG speculated upthread, I too believe this is coming a rapid conclusion.

Gotcha!

I feel she could have been attacked or accosted at her front door before she was taken.

This would explain the droplets of blood due to a forceful struggle

We don't know that they did. Entin only said the house appeared empty, but that doesn't mean it was. The officers also apparently went to a side door, which was likely strategic.

While that's possible, they also might've been there to quickly check on something or collect something.

I would think that if the family weren't at the house, LE would know that.

The sister and her husband's. Prob at a hotel, somewhere private as S.G and brother are as well. IMO

I've been reading this with interest as a resident of Tucson for over 40 years living a few miles down Campbell and couple of blocks east. I'm not going to ask to be a verified insider because I moved away about 10 years ago and was never too familiar with the particular area NG lived in.

When I first heard about this case I kept thinking "Why does Savannah Guthrie sound so familiar?" then I realized it was not from her national role but rather I remember her from the TV news in Tucson in the 1990s. We also overlapped a little at the University of Arizona although I did not know her and it is very unlikely we had mutual friends.

To me this sounds like a true kidnapping for ransom because of SG's national celebrity. While this is rare in the US, it is relatively common south of the border. So my money is on cartels seeking nothing more than money. This could be a good thing for the eventual outcome because if they pay, a cartel may release NG just for street cred and future kidnappings.

Oh yeah, I'm sure they're in close communication.

There is no way they could know she actually left that house alive, but that's the picture he's painted.

Actually they do know she left that house alive. She left in an Uber.

The bigger question is - did she ever return?

I imagine just a quick update about Nancy’s house search.

“We’ve towed the car, we’re going to probably be there until…”
If I were in their shoes, I would send the others off to a safer, private location but I would not leave the house unoccupied. They've seen how members of the media and possibly others have disrespected Nancy's home. Up on the front door step repeatedly, all over the property. And broadcasting it! Photos of the blood drops in the alcove around the front door are everywhere. The fact that Nancy's is a crime scene and so many others are present may curb even more unsavory invasions of Nancy's privacy.

I imagine some reporters and would-be detectives would have fewer qualms about invading the privacy of Annie's family. It's not the crime scene. There appears no one's home. Given free reign, I can easily see peering through windows, roaming around the backyard, photographing non-public spaces where the family hangs out. A child lives there. While it may look like the house is unoccupied from the street side, if I was the male homeowner, I'd be inside the house protecting my family's privacy and property.
