AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

  • #11,521
I saw that photo. TC wasnt in it....unless I missed something or saw a different photo? Neither was Cameron's wife ( if he has one). Only spouse i saw was Savannah's hubby. Odd...
Someone likely took the photo and that person, therefore, wouldn't be in the photo.

I'm not putting weight in that photo to convey info about this case, fwiw.

I’ll be blunt this morning. In my opinion, NG demise originated from AG’s home. The what and the how, I don’t know. Investigators returning to her home again last night documenting, mapping, and collecting evidence was the final event that moved me in that direction. IMO

Harvey Levin is talking about his hypothesis on the profile of this person: very intelligent, smart (the letters were layered, well composed, grammatically correct), a local to Tucson who is familiar with the local news station, someone tech savvy. He thinks they targeted her because SG has money. He thinks LE is focusing on that demographic and within that someone who's been MIA this last week.

I think LE knew where they were going at the last press conference, which is why they didn't schedule the next conference.

I agree. We can't tell from the timeline provided that NG ever made it back home.

But, I can't piece together the blood on the front stoop with the Uber ride.

If Nancy was in fact deceased, wouldn’t they have said “celebrate her” instead of “celebrate WITH her”? Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but I can’t help think the wording would be different. JMO.

The blood is the main clue she returned to the house, they probably also can track AG car movements with tech onboard.

I think it could mean they want a funeral WITH her body and a burial/final resting place WITH her body.

Not necessarily. It's probably to emphasize getting her body returned.

And any funny business like that would likewise cause issues. Her devices are phone as she's traveling to her in-laws, and then there's a massive change before she supposedly gets home.

So either way you game this out, it's quick exposure.
I’m getting tired of liking your posts 🤣

Edit: said with respect of course. Never sure if my type of sarcasm is detectable in writing haha

I kind of agree right now. Perhaps they are searching for NG's cane in that garage, that nobody's made mention of at all so far in this whole investigation! js/moo

LE retuning to AG’s home last night is not routine - “nothing to see here”. It tells me a there was a warrant supported by new evidence and maybe broader search authority was granted. Judges usually set limits on what LE can search. IMO

Unless of course this is all owner consent to search… again. IMO

ETA: perhaps attorneys part of the discussion can set me straight on this.
I don’t think it’s routine, either.

Since we are bound by the rule to stick to MSM sources, I will just say: there are former MSM journalists who are freelance and are doing the legwork and research that the MSM won’t do. They are requesting documents normally available to the press and piblic but finding them sealed.

There are many aspects to this case that are… unusual.

Edited because I’m a dummy and the coffee is just now kicking in.

Maybe she took the cane with her when she was taken?

Y

Yes. US laws are very different to those in my country re: entrapment, that is why I acknowledged my understanding may be different.
Yeah, I get ya!!

Buy WHY has it never been spoken about either way I wonder? It really bugs me that it hasn't. I dunno why.

I do think she made it back home but whatever/who set this in motion originated from AG’s home. IMO

I put the transcript of the latest SG video in to ChatGPT to get an analysis of it from the viewpoint of an investigator and here is what it said, very interesting:

"Every line feels carefully chosen.

The opening — “We received your message, and we understand” — stands out immediately. Saying “we understand” goes beyond acknowledging contact. It suggests they’re not judging, not challenging, not escalating. It’s a de-escalation move. In hostage or ransom situations, that kind of language is often used to keep the other person calm and engaged, not defensive.

The next part — “We beg you now to return our mother to us so we can celebrate with her” — is interesting for what it avoids. They don’t use words like “victim,” “crime,” or “wrong.” They don’t say “alive” or “safe,” which could backfire if the situation is worse than hoped. Instead, they frame it around family and a positive future moment. It subtly assumes she’s alive without forcing the issue.

“This is the only way we will have peace” is also notable. It doesn’t threaten consequences or mention law enforcement. It frames compliance as emotional closure rather than risk, which may lower the perpetrator’s fear of what happens next.

Finally, “This is very valuable to us and we will pay.” That sentence is doing a lot of work. It clearly signals compliance without turning their mother into a price tag or negotiating publicly. No timelines, no demands — just reassurance.

What really stands out overall is what isn’t there: no anger, no moralizing, no pressure, no ultimatums. That restraint feels intentional. The message reads less like a raw emotional plea and more like something designed to stabilize a volatile situation and keep the person on the other end from panicking or escalating.

Whether or not law enforcement helped shape it, this doesn’t feel spontaneous. It feels strategic — focused on keeping communication open and the situation from getting worse."
Of course. It is as most likely intentionally crafted by the fbi.

But nothing indicates it was recent blood. Could have been old and there were no footprints in it either
I may have missed something but it just seems out of place to me if it was old. The house seems to be kept to a high standard and from what has been said there were workers often there. Wouldn't it have been noticed earlier if it was old? But again I may have missed something here. Jmo

I just noticed something... The front door where the blood is, I was browsing street view through different dates, and the 'plant' scattered around the door previous years had that exact plant in the pot that is now empty.

This makes me wonder if they pulled up the plant? Key? Evidence? Blood? the image I grabbed was from Nov 2025. May be nothing.. just saw this., tried my best to enhance it... best I could do. But she had that same plant in similar pots in the front.
Good post. This plant wasn’t removed three months ago, as there is vegetation on the ground.
