When I heard Trump's words about solving it (or whatever he said) I took it with a grain of salt as I do with every other announcement he makes!

I mean, I am not in US and this isn't political, but he just says what he needs to say at any given time, often economical with the truth.
And I can imagine that if he were asking his people for updates, they would keep it all very positive. “We’re getting really close sir”, “We have our best on the case and have full confidence in their abilities.”, “We’re analyzing evidence and it should come back soon, which will tell us a lot.” And then hearing that, he made his own conclusions.

I was so sure this would be a family matter, which is how I feel in almost every case, but now I’m starting to lean the other way. If it’s a family thing, it’s probably financial, and at this rate no one is getting NG’s money any time soon.

Are you able to name any such freelance journalist just say as an example ;)
I’m able. Am I allowed? Her initials are MK and she is doing lots of podcast work with AB.

Law enforcement does not need to “break” Bitcoin. They follow the money. Every transfer creates a traceable chain of movement, and once investigators identify even one real world connection to a wallet, the entire transaction history becomes visible.
Exactly this. Every single transaction is recorded. That record is public, and it can’t be modified or deleted. For there to be a conversion to regular cash in a bank account by the person who received it, a crypto exchange has to be involved. If that exchange (like Coinbase, for example) is in the US, it’s game over for the person receiving the funds.

The ways around it all involve other people – someone in a country where there are fewer rules, or someone accepting the crypto payment and providing cash, goods or services from a location where he or she isn’t traceable.

It isn't looking good for AG and SIL. Mainstream news orgs reporting on the house searches. I would assume they would need to be careful in their reporting to avoid defaming individuals not suspected of a crime. The media must know something big is coming.

I have an idea. Maybe LE has suspected them the whole time and this video making has given them access to the home and they they say, "hey we noticed something off mind if we look around?" I think the cops know it wasn’t a kidnapping. They are going along with these videos to gain access to Annie’s house without a warrant. “Sorry no leads yet, but you think we can swing by again today do another video and give you some updates”
HUH? Of course it is a kidnaping. The lady is gone. Whereabouts unknown.

going to attempt to do a poll! though it’s not really the same of course

react to this post with an
😍 if you suspect someone close to NG
😡 if you suspect someone who knew NG as an acquaintance
🙁 if you suspect a stranger
😮 if you really don’t know what to think
anymore!

(randomly choosen emojis, and of course not trying to make light of this awful situation at all. just to get an idea of what people think)

edit: to clarify, the question here is who is responsible for nancy’s disappearance

update on the poll after 52 votes.

it’s very close between “i really don’t know what to think anymore” (48% or 25 votes) and “i suspect someone close to NG” (44% or 23 votes). the remaining 4 votes went to “i suspect someone who knew NG as an acquaintance”. no one voted for the option that the person who is responsible for NG’s disappearance is a total stranger.

really hoping for a breakthrough in the case today..

Your assuming it was a premeditated murder. I'm thinking it was a manslaughter/2nd degree murder type situation.
If it was not premeditated, they would have been a lot sloppier. The cameras smashed, the home probably staged - all these point to premeditation by the kidnappers.

CASE UPDATE — N.G.

As of now, this case has entered a critical phase. While authorities still state no suspect or official person of interest has been publicly identified, multiple investigative actions suggest movement behind the scenes.

Here is the most complete picture based on publicly reported information:

TIMELINE ANCHOR
Approximately seven days have passed since the overnight window when N.G.’s pacemaker reportedly lost synchronization with her Apple-linked devices. This same window is believed by investigators to be when the incident occurred.

OFFICIAL POSITION
Pima County authorities continue to say:
• No suspects ruled out
• No official person of interest named
• Investigation remains active and evolving

GAS STATION LEAD
Investigators were seen seeking surveillance footage from a nearby gas station. A clerk stated law enforcement asked about video involving an unidentified male. No description has been released, and it is not confirmed whether this individual is a suspect or part of routine evidence gathering.

VEHICLE OF INTEREST
Separately, investigators obtained surveillance footage from a Circle K connected to a reported “vehicle of interest.” It remains unknown whether this vehicle is connected to the unidentified male or represents a separate lead.

FAMILY HOME INVESTIGATION
Authorities spent extended time inside the home of A.G. and T.C., the last confirmed location where N.G. was present before returning to her own residence approximately 4.3 miles away.

Video and witness observations reported:
• Investigators entering with equipment
• Camera flashes visible from inside
• Metallic/clanking sounds consistent with evidence processing
• Items removed from the home

No official explanation has been given regarding what was collected or how this activity relates to the broader investigation.

MAP / SEARCH ACTIVITY
Images circulating show investigators reviewing a map. Commentary from a legal analyst suggested such materials are sometimes associated with search planning, though authorities have not confirmed the purpose.

COMMUNICATIONS / RANSOM
The family publicly stated they received a message and are willing to meet ransom demands in hopes of securing N.G.’s safe return. Authorities have previously confirmed impostor/fake ransom activity occurred in the case environment, meaning not all communications are verified.

CURRENT STATUS
N.G. remains missing.
No suspect publicly identified.
Multiple investigative threads appear active simultaneously.

WHAT THIS MAY INDICATE (GENERAL, NON-SPECULATIVE)
In major investigations, simultaneous evidence collection at multiple locations, surveillance review, and timeline reconstruction often occur when investigators are:
• Verifying movement and sequence
• Narrowing potential leads
• Correlating physical and digital evidence
• Testing emerging theories

However, no official confirmation has been given tying these activities to a specific suspect.

The case remains active, fluid, and unresolved. Verified information from authorities will be critical in determining the next direction.

What if NG hired an Uber and wasn’t expected at AG’s house? Even if she was expected something upset SIL and she was murdered without a prior plan. Then SIL decides to cover up the murder by staging the kidnapping. And then, the kidnapping to cover up the murder requires an actual ransom so that plan is hatched but it takes a few days to figure out how to pull it off. Did his band mates help him with all this? What does AG know?

This has to be so very very hard for SG. I wonder how much she suspects and how much she knows about the truth and what role her own desires for her mother’s life and return impacted her statements vs advice (potential manipulation) from LE that played a role as well.

Anyone know if TC is his father? Maybe the son wasn’t around that night because he was with his father.
I'm not sure, but I have been hoping the young son was at a friend's house that night.

My thoughts on opening the garage door... if someone is dropping me off at home, I would walk in through my front door. If I'm not parking a vehicle in the garage its not likely I'm opening that door. Do people really do this? Maybe it just makes more sense with the layout of her house. Was it opened because someone knew there would be a record of it being opened?

Are AI generated posts allowed on Websleuths? I had thought this forum encourages original thinking and posting. I get that AI can be useful generating things like timelines, but it often gets things wrong and is not always up to date. This is not directed at you personally, it's just a question as I am quite new here.

No, just a collection of updates for the case to help reign in all the details

I was feeling similar, but on hearing more details about the searches (no feds, no police tape) I'm beginning to wonder?

Statistically family is often involved in a disappearance, yet I am left as usual with this case feeling it's another roadblock. I don't know what to think at this point.

I almost always enter and leave my home through the garage, and not the front door, whether I'm using a vehicle in the garage or not.

I just voted "total stranger", which to me means NG was targeted because the kidnapper thought SG would pay out a large sum, but otherwise doesn't have a direct connection to the family other than being local to Tucson and general knowledge. I think they are highly intelligent, tech savvy, and lacking general emotions or empathy.

Me too. I don’t know what to believe anymore.

Sorry if this has been discussed, it's so hard to keep up! Has anything been confirmed about the reports that NG failed to show for church and someone from the church alerted her family ? I've only seen info stating she hasn't attended church in person since COVID and instead viewed via video and that video feed does not show who is watching the video.

Yes, although it seems SIL and AG are no longer living at the house. That could be to evade media scrutiny, but also because the house is a potential scene of crime (and they are not taping up the house to avoid prejudicing the investigation).
