Snipped for focus.
Agreed.
The fact that LE have not ruled them out is huge, imo.
By now, they should have if they're (law enforcement) certain ?
Jmo.
I do agree. I feel like in most major cases I’ve followed they clear persons of interest close to the victim much quicker than by this point in a case. Unless there is a really good reason not to state that they are cleared like to throw off the perf

If this is actually a kidnapping for ransom (which I highly doubt), then it was premeditated and presumably well-planned. The perp(s) would absolutely know that she was not in good health and required medication. If the plan was to exchange her for money, then they would have to keep her in good health, or at least alive, and it would need to be quick (not drawn out for a week+). The fact that SG was about to leave for Milan adds to the unlikelihood that this was a planned kidnapping/ransom. What if SG had already left for Milan? Waiting for ransom and keeping an 84 year old in captivity (without her medications) seems nearly inconceivable. Plus, the perp(s) would have known beforehand that this was going to make the headlines. Way too much risk and uncertainty. There is just no way this was a preplanned kidnapping for ransom, imo.

Did anyone else clock the "hour of desperation" remark in the video? Could be read literally given the timing?
Another movie reference? idk (I'm not a movie buff)

Everyone is focused on the deadline tonight, and previous videos have focused on just that (ransom). This seems like a pivot, attempting to rally the public to help resolve this. I think what's done is done in that regard, and now it's time to focus on other avenues.

It'll be interesting to see if any payment is in fact made today.
For some reason, I feel like it was already paid.

Sorry if this has already been asked. Can someone with Bitcoin knowledge confirm that Bitcoin accounts / wallets are publicly accessible to view? It is being reported that the Bitcoin account still has a $0 balance but i'm not understanding how anyone even if they have the account / wallet number could see the balance. I know absolutely nothing about Bitcoin
Law enforcement have the wallet address and they have not released it. Why? Because some idiots would deposit money in it for fun and could mess up the trail.

Savannah was appealing to everyone in her last video to keep on the look out for her mom... or unusual activity that could be investigated. Previously, the siblings seemed defeated, they believed the ransom and "got the message" on status of Nancy.

They now know (or at least believe) it was a hoax! Whilst Savannah said LE are working tirelessly, we don't know that they are getting anywhere. I think they highly suspected TC and thought it was a domestic issue but maybe that's changed.

I don't believe that AG is in anyway involved in what happened to Nancy.

Im just going to throw this out there as i live on the east coast, but out of curiosity of real estate value and just being a nosey investigative person, I quite OFTEN visit my county's tax assessor data and look up people's addresses, value of home, etc. Call me nosey! If my kid make a new friend im looking their parents up, what kind of house do they live in who are the neighbors, etc. Its public data and I also like to see what homes have been selling, value, etc etc. I would hate to think one day someone is calling me because I queried a home value out of curiosity in my home stste, town etc..
Yeah, I do that too! But I think that the number of people who would have explicitly searched for any individual house in all of Pima County over a month or two is likely to be pretty low. And most of those could quickly be eliminated as interesting without any further investigation.

It's not about immediately suspecting everyone who looked at it, any more than they are immediately suspecting everyone they saw drive by when they look at security camera footage. It's just one source of potential leads that would need further filtering before anyone is seriously considered suspicious.

That said, I don't think this is actually likely to be a very valuable approach; I just suggested it because the topic of looking into search histories came up. It's fun to speculate about, but it's really nothing more.

Honestly, I think she died that night.
It could be she has the strength to survive but is fading, in pain, not doing well. Human resiliancy can be amazing.

It could be the kidnappers have given her something (I don't know what or how).

It could be she has not survived.

Omg! "The Desperate Hour is a 2021 thrill film directed by Phillip Noyce and written by Chris Sparling It stars Naomi Watts as a woman who is desperately racing to save her child after police place her hometown on lockdown due to an active shooter incident." Source: Wikipedia

If the ransom demand is determined not to be related to the original crime (i.e. a hoax/opportunist), and if they are truly as desperate/without leads as SG makes it sound in this last video, LE should really hold another press conference as it feels like there would still be a possible threat to the public.

And lets not forget how the ransom note said USD for currency which made investigators think they are outside of US. So are we even talking US time? This case is so next level out there.
Not to mention, you can ask AI to make it seem that way.

As far as the cartel speculation - organized crime in general, really - kidnappings for ransom are different than a kidnapping to "prove a point". With a kidnapping for ransom, the organization actually NEEDS the vic returned alive if they are paid because it's simply bad for business really if it just becomes common knowledge that your loved one is not coming back alive even if you pay. Cartels make big money off kidnappings south of the border, but there really isn't a lot of quantifiable data on these crimes because of the nature of the crime. The gist though is a kidnapping by "that kind" of criminal component usually looks MUCH different than this crime, especially in terms of the speed of the demand and the publicity. "Cartel" kidnappings are a money grab; this crime (and I'm STILL not convinced at all that this is not two separate crimes being perpetrated by two different groups) seems extremely different. NG was met with foul play. Someone is demanding a ransom. With no POL I just can't be convinced yet these are one crime. This is just my VERY humble opinion from my couch.

If the ransoms were all a hoax, how are LE so confident there is no threat to the public? Nothing seems to add up.

The ransom letter may have prompted them to say "We understand" as a way of showing agreement and acquiescence. IMO, they are following directions from the ransom note and sticking close to parameters the perps may have set up. MOO
Agreed. Without knowing exactly everything that was said in the letter we just don’t know why she worded things the way she did. In both of the videos (with her siblings), she was kind of slouching, not sitting up with a confident posture, and I think that was absolutely purposeful— don’t come across as threatening or angry. “We understand” is also a more calm non-threatening statement than “yes we get it”

the videos were made in a calculated strategic way IMO

Agree. That was my point in case I wasn't clear.

I'm a quasi-movie buff but it doesn't ring a bell. Other than the 90s movie Desperate Hours which is a remake of a 1950s movie. I think it's a common saying though in many high stress situations.

Breaking news CNN: SG has released new video

I don't think the actual investigators on this case ever confirmed the "USD" language, nor said it made them suspicious about the location of the author. I'm pretty sure all of that came from retired LE experts giving their opinions to media. Not the same, IMO.
