It’s frustrating that eight days have passed and there still doesn’t appear to be any confirmed leads shared publicly. It’s hard not to feel that someone, somewhere, may have seen or heard or suspected something. SOMETHING. Nancy is a mother, a friend, a human being. Protecting the wrong is awful and unethical, just as sick as what’s being protected.

The more I think about it, I think the ransom requests are from a third party who has nothing to do with the murder or kidnapping.

If you kidnapped some old lady and wanted money you would move the earth to prove to the family that you had the person. You would ask them Secrets only they would know, there would be dozens of things I could think of. Not the location of an Apple watch or some BS broken floodlight. If anything maybe some law enforcement person leaked that location and someone used it to craft the ransom. In the digital age all he would need is a way to cloak his internet location and a bitcoin wallet.
If you are correct, how does the kidnap letter writer know about the exact special placement of the Apple Watch?

If they didn't have a search warrant than anything they found would likely be barred from evidence at trial.
Possibly, but not if the homeowners allowed them in willingly .
LE could not use anything from a residence in a court of law -- that they had broken into to retrieve.
You can't use evidence wrongfully seized, but it sounds like that didn't happen here ?
“Everybody’s still a suspect in our eyes,” Nanos said. “The family’s been very cooperative, they’ve done everything we’ve asked of them.”

I believe its this one Google Maps

Based on local news reporters being on scene and appearing to report from the Grant Rd side by the dumpsters
Ok, wow, that's pretty far south! I used to drive by that one every day. I remembered it but thought we were looking for one closer to NG's house. Thank you!

The SIL claim was clickbait. Neither the SIL nor AG are involved. If authorities even had a tiny suspicion they were, then they would have search warrants. I know crime stats show there's a connection between last person to see a victim but LEs actions prove they are not suspects at this time.

And you know this, as 100% fact ? How so ?

They/Family have been completely excluded as suspects , or having anything to do with the situation , according to whom? I’ve seen nothing completely excluding anyone ?

T.C. dropped Nancy off at her Tucson home just after 9:45 p.m. Saturday after having dinner and playing games with her and his wife, Nancy’s daughter A.G.

From the last sentence, it sounds like only AG, TC, and Nancy were at the dinner and games night ?
I'd asked earlier upthread about who was at AG's house that night.

I don't find it depressing. I hope I have friends that care about me when I get to that age.
Yes it is not depressing. It feels good when friends check on you. The point is I do not think it odd that the church lady noticed her friend NG was not at church on Sunday and probably called to check on her. When she did not get an answer she called the daughter.

I don’t understand why the FBI is involved. They think this is an interstate or national level case because it is the mother of a TV host? It seems like if this is going to drag on for months, they have to justify why federal taxpayers have to pay for this long investigation when so many benefits have been cut for the common man. They should probably trust local LE to take it from here. MOO

I'm perplexed as to why more billboards are going up if they are closing in and an arrest is imminent.

I’m sorry if this has been addressed, but if SIL were to be a suspect, what do you think were his movements in theory? Did he drop off NG, leave, and come back around the time the cameras were turned off? Did he drop her off and never actually leave the driveway, lying in wait until she went to bed? Or did he go inside with her? Do you think they maybe had a disagreement on the way home?

I saw the discussion earlier about how people were unhappy we were suspecting family members, and I don’t feel strongly one way or the other, so this is all theoretical.
If T is involved, I think it is highly likely that A is involved too. She would have said something if he had taken hours to come home after dropping her off, or probably noticed if he left again late at night.

JMO but the video messages from the family and statements from law enforcement are reminding me of Gannon Stauch case where LE did repeated press conferences saying they believed he was alive and missing but they had known he was already dead from day 2. This was probably to put the perpetrator at ease thinking they have no leads. His parents did a video message also at that time.

MOO but I think there is a very disturbed person behind this who is very close to NG. People can be severely mentally ill or have some other type of personality disorder and hide it very well for many years. Or maybe not so well, but just well enough that people may not fully realize what they're capable of.

Several posters have asked on this thread recently if LE would need both AG and TC to give voluntary consent to a search of their home and property. I assume that LE would need the consent of all legal and official homeowners. Do we know if both AG and TC are listed on auditor's website as both being official homeowners?

Emphasis mine.
If a person is innocent, the best action they can take is to stand with law enforcement maybe at a presser and beg for the missing person.
If that's not forthcoming (police wanting to give a press conf.); perhaps spend all of your time cooperating to make sure LE can clear you and then you can move on ?
Not saying he didn't cooperate.

Maybe LE aren't satisfied with the answers or information they're receiving, and if someone is truly innocent that's not going to make them want to be seen anywhere in public.
Being in absentia is not helpful.
Unless he's busy at work ?
Just pointing that out.
Omo.
I respectively disagree. The LE doesn't need to have a presser to allow anyone that public opinion has determined is guilty stand and beg for the missing person. The LE needs to concentrate their efforts on reviewing new information and tips, not clearing people in public. There are many other people that could be suspect. What about the mystery church lady? To me this person could be responsible as well, because he/she might have a guilty conscience. I honestly would not want to go and state my innocence because that will only bring out more people that will say he is guilty without any facts. MOO.

No lines were crossed in any of those cases. It was just police departments out of their depth, who needed help. In the Suzanne Morphew case for instance, the FBI did almost all of the work. They weren't the lead agency though, and they knew from the get-go that despite a scene set up to look like an abduction, no

Sure of course I’ve been following all of those right along with ya!

I just don't find this suspicious. We're hearing church friend, but this could have been a long time friend of Nancy's that she saw frequently. If they always watched this live stream at the same time and chatted (text or online) the disappearance was noted. Probably not a huge deal, but then Nancy didn't answer any of her attempts to communicate. Maybe she's not feeling well and sleeping? So she texts Annie and probably says something like "I hope your mom is feeling okay, I didn't hear from her this morning." Annie starts texting/calling and doesn't get an answer so she heads over. This exact scenario has happened in my family (hearing aid was out, no kidnapping) and nothing about it seemed odd to me. Whatever Annie found was so alarming that she called 911 within 6 minutes.

All speculation, of course.
Exactly what I’ve been thinking, but you did a much better job articulating. Whether Annie knew the church friend who called or not it would have been an alert to me to check on my mom.

I doubt he even knows

Is anyone else still curious about what Donald Trump meant by his comments on day 6 of the search (Friday)? For context, Trump told reporters he had received new information on the case through federal law enforcement and the FBI.

Part of what he stated:

“A lot’s taken place in the last couple of hours. A lot of things have happened with regard to that horrible situation in the last couple of hours.”

I wonder what he is talking about?
When the press was asking more about getting new info in the investigation, he said:

“I think we’re doing very well in that regard. You’re probably surprised to hear that,” Trump said. “I think we’re doing very well, meaning we have some clues, I think that are very strong and I think we could have some answers coming up fairly soon.”

Then when asked whether the search for Nancy Guthrie would expand nationwide, Trump explained that he was focused on solving the case. He said:

“I’m not talking about a search, I’m talking about a solution,” he said. “We have some things that I think that we’ll maybe come out reasonably soon from DOJ or FBI or whoever that could be definitive.”

Soooooooo, yeah.... What solution?????

Good point. Also thinking of my own parents, I don’t think any of their friends have my phone number, and I don’t have theirs. So I’m surprised that a church friend would have any Nancy’s children’s numbers handy to call them.

As others have mentioned it could be that this is a real close friend and NG may have said that she would see her in the morning (virtual and/or in person).

No. Not the least bit curious.
