Mismatched holster to gun, reflective backpack, weird use of thick nitrile type gloves. One even alluded it might be an "off" person.
It's certainly a weird get up that doesn't scream pro.

The getup seems like thrift-store stuff.

My thoughts too. I also don’t think they knew the ring camera was there or they would have brought something. It looks like he fiddled with it and then tried to find something to cover it, panicked, and grabbed the closest thing (literally wtf).

Maybe the perpetrator knew the Ring wasn’t recording. Maybe had a key?

There are some reports LE is at her neighbours house.

Maybe the obtaining of the video by LE (and possibly other information including through the tip lines) has given LE more probable cause search warrants for areas nearby. Not saying neighbors would be perps, but in terms of searching those areas, and they didn't have that permission before?

I don’t think this person has thin brows. The lighter coloured edging of the eye holes are partially covering the brows. The lighter coloured material mimics skin but I think it’s just the design of the eye holes making the brows look thin/feminine. A bit of an optical illusion

I had to re-read this three times while looking at the picture (not that you didn't explain it well, but I'm having trouble focusing on things right now) - this may very well be what I was seeing instead of "feminine eyebrows", the "edging of the eye holes" in the mask. I wouldn't have known how to word that, thank you! Definitely something to consider, good eye!!

100%. It's a specific eye shape/coloring, IMO, for the most part. Of course not in all cases

The SIL's friend and bandmate, DE, is imo a bigtime person of interest here. Has an extensive criminal background including burglary. His eyebrows imo match the guy in the pics/videos. Has a mustache and a goatee similar to the guy in the pics/video.

So..........scenario. SIL drops off NG after dinner. Knows she is home and in bed. Has a plan with DE to kidnap her for ransom, or worse.....to disappear her for inheritance. DE goes to the house and does it. I honestly really hope that is the case. Because imo that may mean she could still be alive. However I have a feeling that something went wrong with the plan and she is no longer with us.

Hope I am wrong.

To be fair, I could know that person and I would never have recognized them. That whole mask obscures too many features.
