AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

it looks like this person walks quite directly towards the nest camera. Given it was dark they located it very quickly. I think that suggests they knew where to find it - either they’ve seen it before or been told where it was positioned. You don’t see the person scrambling to locate it. They seem to know it’s rough position even with their head pointed down when approaching the door.

Disabling it is another matter however…

i don't think this means anything. it's exactly where you would expect a door camera to be. don't really need prior knowledge to figure that out.

it's also possible it has an indicator light that turns on when it detects movement? i don't know much about nest cameras, and don't know if google will be much help if i don't know the model NG had.

I have to wonder how SG is feeling right now? Bad enough her mother is out there somewhere but it seems like they are closing in on her sister's home and she must know that AG and TC are being talked about. Nightmare does not begin to describe this situation.
though of course I’m well aware that reality is often not the same as what we want, but I really hope that AG and the SIL are not involved. My heart breaks for the family enough as is. I can’t imagine the added trauma that could result if this was done by someone you love and trust.

I think we will see an arrest by the end of the week.

Good point but door (ring or otherwise) are common place these days so they expected one there.

They may have had a flashlight to help them locate the camera. That may be a flashlight he’s holding with his mouth.MOO

Love that quote "just enough to be annoying" ...

I suspect it may have been an arduous and possibly very manual task to look through, what you are describing, as potentially buried data. It could have involved multiple departments at google, possibly even 3rd party vendors who provide storage. There may have even been lawyers involved to make sure no liability exists. I'm sure there were meetings over potential fallout if the public knows that your cameras are storing images and video even if you don't have a subscription.
I love it when law enforcement works together.

Man, this view of the eyes sure does look more female than male. I know it’s hard to tell. But if I just saw this photo only, I would be convinced this is a female. The body looks male though on the full view.

Looks like someone in the inner circle to me. I do think this person knows the family. Well.

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but as far as I know, they haven’t reported anything about the inside of the house and what they found.
I do recall Sherriff saying something to the effect early on "out of respect for the family we aren't releasing details of what we found inside" something very close to that. It was one of his early pressers, but hes known to say wacky stuff.

Son In Law. BTW does he have groomed eyebrows? I can't find a closeup.

The footage is 100% NOT him neither AG in disguise - please STOP these ludicrous suggestions!

It's weird. Perfectly plucked eyebrows on a man?
The edge of the contrasting mask stiching is blending with his skintone and creating an optical illusion of thin, manicured eyebrows. We can't see his full eyebrows.

I really wish I hadn't asked. I've been told the question is moot as the flower itself has no meaning or symbol attached to it, and they grow everywhere because they are easy in that particular region.

My mother used to say I had too much of a romantic disposition, and it has led me to ask a dumb question.

In my opinion, we should move past the flowers. They are just there and have played a reluctant part in all this.
I don't see anything wrong in asking what kind they were.

What's in the backpack? Rope? restraints? Gags? zipties?? Laser gun? Knives? This was a kidnaping from the get-go. IMO Just strengthens my belief this was a sickio admirer of SG who wanted attention or someone with a huge grudge against the family. JMO Also, IMO ransom was real.
Or a guy who goes from house to house stealing small items like jewelry and silver and needs a bag to store it in.

I am hopeful it will be in the next 24 hours. Someone knows that individual. Someone will recognize them or their clothing, shoes, gait, mannerisms. MOO

This video shows him moving slow. Why even bother with the flowers by the time he grabs them and puts them up in front of the camera?
Have a feeling they lower their head like that to initially avoid being recognised, they are definitely someone close to NG

I also think that they were taped up to change the look of the eyes....

No that’s fair. It’s just to me it’s extremely direct. I feel like there’s not even an ounce of hesitation. Especially given that the person approaches the door with their head down in the pitch black. It’s quite a large porch. My delivery drivers struggles to find my door knocker sometimes and that’s in the centre of my door. Just a thought

Good question. I was super convinced the ransom was not real but seeing how full his backpack is, now I am not entirely sure. He certainly didn't go there to rob the place it seems like.
