I will be disappearing in a bit to do the very grown-up, very responsible things a person my age is tasked with but I was wondering, and forgive me if this is an absolutely IDIOTIC question (as I said, we have a different brand of camera):

Doesn't AG, who doesn't live terribly far from NG's house, have alerts for the doorbell?

I know. Very dumb of me. I feel chastised even before posting, but if I lived closed enough to a fragile, elderly relative (ha! I have none...that layer of family is all long-gone!), and this technology was in place, I would want to be able to "check in" if something suspicious pinged?

Before anyone scolds me, or rolls their eyes at my silliness, I come from a different culture and generation and these things come to mind randomly.

I don't think this is idiotic at all - far from it really. I had the SAME thought - if I lived that close to my mom, I'd have the app on my phone to watch the door. My brother does this for my mom & they live a similar distance apart as AG & NG

It's possible the perp entered the house somewhere else, but wanted to remove NG via the front door (perhaps easier to get her in a car from that location). The perp appears to have scoped out the camera in the photo where he doesn't have his gun/backpack, then came back later to remove the camera (so that he could exit out the front door to a vehicle). If this is the case, the backpack could have been empty when he entered and full when he left. Was the front door unlocked?

This is an important point. It was brought up in the live that STS did.

Only my phone gets notifications from my Nest camera. However, my DD and her DH both get notifications on their phones from their Nest. It’s however you set it up.

I would argue it’s a secondary crime scene. That's alot of focus for a place the victim had dinner.

LE might need to examine everything at AG house, like stains on garage floor. Photograph & Swab - it’s evidence or not. It will help in court if some other defendant wants to point at them. LE can truthfully say the house was thoroughly examined @ show stains & lab results.

I am praying she is found safe and fed. My worry is that someone has ignored her the past few days. There’s worse things but I do worry about hydration and such. I know how it feels to be old, even when you are healthy. It isn’t always easy to obey a command either. Bones and muscles don’t do what we want at times. I just want to cry. How could someone do this to an old person!

Why would SWAT trucks go to NG's house? I can see AG's house being their destination, but what at NG's searched and secured house would need a SWAT team?

We are sleuthing; and, here is a humble contribution.

In one of the images sourced at @FBIDirectorKash/X (it is my hope this official and reputable source is authorized), one could observe thus:
1. The criminal has light skin around the eyes
2. The eyebrows seem to be well cared for such that they seem to be female eyebrows
3. The upper lip seems to have a moustache.

In conclusion, it seems probable this criminal is 1) a light skinned male, 2) well groomed and perhaps used to appear in public, and 3) moustached!

Of note,
1) Kash Patel being physically in Tucson AZ seems to be able to shake up the investigation. Good!
2) FBI and other federal resources in place working the technology is a bonus for the local lawmen and investigators!

Had anyone mentioned about LE searching landfills? What day does the trash run there? The perp could have tossed their gloves, clothes, etc in the trash nearby. The pants on this person look like a slim fit type of pant. The top looks like a fleece lined, zip front jacket. Kind of like this one.

Looking at the pictures again, I genuinely think that what we are thinking are eyebrows is shadowing from the mask. Even if it wasn’t, though, I know many men who groom their eyebrows.

As for SIL’s eyebrows, they look pretty thick to me but then again, I don’t think we are seeing the eyebrows with the ski mask

Then again, they look very much like someone close by…
