Of course they would. If this was someone who was identified as a real suspect, they want them alive and in a controlled area, where they can interview them.

Putting a potential suspect in an ambulance for an hour on a very busy highway would be a bad choice.

The life flight could be for the person detained or an officer injured.

Forgot where but saw somewhere say NG hasn't been found yet. Could be whoever was detained put up a fight and someone got injured along the way? But i'm with you and hoping for the best.

All the life flights i've seen land near University of Arizona

If it is her, maybe she needs a higher level of care. Last I was out there, a Mayo Clinic campus was under construction in Phoenix. Mayo Clinic (in MN at least) is one of if not the top hospital in the country.

Or, to be ready to go after accomplices in the Tucson area (this is assuming the Rio Rico action is related)

If this is the case, which it very well may be, I wonder why the helicopter made what looks like multiple other stops in more rural areas near Rio Rico (regardless of whether it picked up the POI or NG or someone else)

Unfortunately the heli stopped tracking when it landed at Banner University Hospital, but if you look at my original screen shot of the flight path, that's the case, I believe

EDIT: Also I believe Nogales is south of Rio Rico so I wonder if NG was dropped there and then there's something else related they stopped for in Rio Rico? (All speculation sigh)
