Just started banking left, and is now hovering over Banner Univ Medical Center--do they have a helipad?

They have two helipads.

It's a Level ! trauma center. You can see them both on googemaps

RIO RICO, Arizona — The man detained of questioning in the abduction of Nancy Guthrie was headed toward the US-Mexico border when he was stopped by Pima County sheriff's deputies with the help of the FBI, law enforcement sources said.

Cops stopped the man and detained him for questioning, sources said.

He was being pursued when cops stopped his vehicles in this tiny border community, which is 60 miles south of Nancy Guthrie's home and just nine miles from the border.

Sources did not know if he was trying to flee to Mexico.

So do you think it's more likely the person of interest, injured while being sought and detained?
It's definitely a possibility that a guilty POI could have attempted to harm one's self if they knew LE was closing in on them.

Wonder if he got the idea to flee to Mexico when the media gave him an hours-long head start 🙄

If this is the case, which it very well may be, I wonder why the helicopter made what looks like multiple other stops in more rural areas near Rio Rico (regardless of whether its the POI or NG or someone else)

Unfortunately the heli stopped tracking when it landed at Banner University Hospital, but if you look at my original screen shot of the flight path, that's the case, I believe
I wish I better understood flight transponders. It’s strange to me on the initial flight south it disappeared near Rio Rico and then re-appeared at the hospital miles south of there.

Not sure…if not Nancy I would think totally unrelated to her case. The person in question here was detained during a traffic stop which, to me, indicates Nancy likely wouldnt have been with him, so I don’t think the location of this medical emergency is related to the location of the traffic stop.

All this being said, I really, truly do hope with all my heart that it IS Nancy in that helicopter going to the hospital.

ETA: so much in this case hasn’t made sense to me - this would be a hugely pleasant surprise if it defies my logic and is Nancy

If this was in Rio Rico as is being reported, was this person driving to the border? Rio Rico is extraordinarily close to the border.
That would be my guess, given the photos/video today released - they got spooked. MOO

I agree, but understand. NBC is covering the Olympics and Savannah is a part of their family. But I do wish every victim got this much attention. Hopefully, as technology advances, that will happen. 🌻🌻
Wouldn't this be awesome!

As much as I want Nancy to be found alive, I fear that if this Lifeflight tracking had legs we would be hearing a lot of buzz about this from various reporters and folks who work in Tucson at hospitals / EMT / etc,.

Realistically, who isn’t eager to share good news?
That would be a serious HIPAA violation for any hospital workers. Not for reporters, tho.

Just read the suspect was detained during traffic stop, so LE must have been tracing a car
