Fireman carry. I was trained to do that carry in the military and was able to transport men as heavy as me that way. If NG was carried out the front door this way the blood would indeed drip behind the person doing the carrying. IMO

I will say this is very difficult to do without training.

I once had to carry someone significantly lighter than me, and I struggled mightily, even though this was in my bodybuilding days. I simply hadn't got the hang of the physics of it in the heat of the moment.

Do you feel like specific training would be necessary to carry someone like this to the road from the house, possibly with a full backpack?

EVERYONE, RIGHT NOW, what is the maximum amount you can take in ONE day from your ATM? Check it! It's around 1200 dollars give or take. NO ONE would go to this elaborate extent with guns, full body disguise, and loaded backpack to take someone to an ATM for that amount. Additionally, going to an ATM exposes faces from that camera too. NOT an ATM robbery. IMO

IIRC, our bank let's us withdraw $1,000.

I occurs to me that the family likely doesn't feel comfortable/safe going to their mom's house to retrieve items they might want right now, clear out the fridge, empty garbage, etc.

Hopefully LEO checked all those random things out as well, especially if she has a chest type deep freezer. Ugh, Very morbid thought I just had, apologies.

Does anyone know how far a pacemaker has to be from a phone before it disconnects?

One thing that trips me up is the 1:47 to 2:28 time frame. That's an awful long time for kidnappers to remain in the house. Especially if the place wasn't ransacked or showing signs of robbery. What were they doing that whole time? I can't imagine it would take long to subdue a frail, elderly woman and squirrel her out of there?
Short range - less than bluetooth, but ultimately depends on . The radios and power systems are small.
Really?

The answer to your first question is: LE often follows WS threads and, yes, in the past some WS'ers have passed info on to LE.

The answer to your second question is: somebody on this thread might recognize the exact jacket once it's identified and might know a friend or relative who has that exact jacket.

The answer to your third question is: see the answers to your first two questions

If you are confident they are already "running this down" and also know what type of jacket and pack and holster and gloves and mask and - even who the perp is - for what reason do you think LE released the photos and asked: do you know who this person might be?

I applaud @Mica's search effort and think that jacket is as close as any I've seen

Jmo
Depending on the brand and other factors, you can make correlations about what was sold where and when. There's a host of cases where a garment or other distinct item was used to narrow down potential points of concentration for future review.

If you knew something was sold at Walmart, requests data for all sales of that item over X date range. If one was sold and other factors made it worth checking out, then you pull security footage, purchase records, etc. Just work down the list of data.

Glad SG brought in a private investigator. Pima police are not going to get this done.
You mean Pima Police and the FBI are not going to get this done so now we need a private investigator. Kash is getting fired if the private investigator solves the case faster than the FBI!

The earth there is too dense to be buried.

However, after seeing that her septic tank is behind the wall of a neighboring property, I wonder about the possibility that another resident's septic tank may have been used. All the properties there have a septic tank, and some may be as concealed from view as her own is. I hate even thinking of this.
From what I've learned about caliche because of this case, I don't think she is buried either.

LE did a thorough search of the next-door neighbor's septic system. The manhole openings were outside the curtilage, on the back, outside side of the enclosed yard. Easily accessible without disturbing anyone in the house. There may be septic systems on neighboring properties that are not in the enclosed area and not easily visible from the house at night or on properties nearby that were unoccupied.

I just can’t with AB, what she said about SIL was awful…. <Modsnip wayyyy off topic> AB is a hack. MOO!
I didn't watch the entire video of AB, so I am not sure what you are referring to, but her last guest made some very interesting observations and analysis of the guy in the FBI videos that were released yesterday. JMO.

Doorbell cam disconnected at 1:47. Pacemaker disconnects from phone at 2:28.

We don’t know for sure, but it would seem prep entered around 1:47 and Nancy was close to her phone until 2:28

Authorities provide a timeline of the night Nancy Guthrie disappeared
40 minutes to me seems like such a long time if nothing was taken from the house. Maybe I’m underestimating how long crimes take, especially knowing how long Brian Kohberger was inside their house. If she was taken out alive, does it take 40 min to coerce her with a gun, tie her wrists, and walk her outside? If she was killed, does it take 40 minutes to kill someone and drag her out? Sorry for the grotesque imagery. Unless some of that time was spent arguing or discussing something or her pleading.

ETA sorry was behind a few pages and realized someone literally just said this lol

At one point, somewhere in this thread, someone had put together a list of possible motives. I can’t find it so I’m going to try to make a list.
1) kidnapping for ransom
2) killed by someone she knew and the rest of it is a staged cover up
3) someone obsessed with SG or trying to target SG for some reason
4) random SA / murder by someone who targets elderly - maybe a serial offender who is escalating?
5) robbery gone wrong - he didn’t think anyone was home, harmed her and then decided to get rid of her (the evidence)

Anything else?
Honestly none of these make a lot of sense. Who does this to an 84 year old woman???

Just wondering what everyone is thinking about that jacket. Has anyone ever seen one like that before? It doesn't appear to be a current fashion from what I can see on Google. In fact, I haven't been able to track down one similar. However, I do recall seeing my Polish friend's husband wear something like this.

Maybe if we can help LE identify the jacket--and the jacket is on the rare side--but it will lead to identification when it was purchased?
It reminds me of the ones they sale at Sam's club or Costco.

If so, they surely would have made some kind of statement by now, usually political.

I've wondered if NG was roughly gagged and possibly had a nosebleed. Too late now, but it seems like if she had been able to scream she would have been heard. I think voices carry quite well in that environment. But in the middle of night maybe all neighbors were asleep. JMO

That is a real possibility based on the blood trail. She's roughly gagged, but bleeds the most at the door. Blood droplets are seen on the side walk several feet apart as opposed to pooling at the door. (Not all the images of the blood is shown, but the media implied it was down the driveway)

Nancy was likely escorted to a vehicle. I know typically she only could walk a short distance, (about 50 ft)
But, when you are being accosted like that, your body goes into flight or flight and your body moves more and faster than it usually does.

I think being gagged could explain the blood pattern.

As for screaming: Coyotes sound just like screaming women.

True story. 12 year old freightened daughter: "Mom, mom there is a girl being tortured outside."
Me: "Dear those are coyotes".

Also, there was quite a bit of vegetation in the area. Homes are fairly far apart. A muffled scream would likely not be noticed.

IMO it was quickly considered a crime scene due to the family's connections. SG called the Senator on her way to airport to fly to AZ on Sunday. AG and TC knew their mom wouldn't just vanish on her own and probably signs of missing camera, blood out front. Ultimately the pressure from AZ senator is what made LE quickly treat it as a criminal investigation. IMHO
I'm not sure this is true. But I'm not saying you are wrong either. The initial call of an elderly person being missing is, unfortunately an all-too-common call all over the country. The sheriff's office responded and almost immediately changed it to a kidnapping investigation based on the crime scene. This was stated by Nanos himself early on and posted here.

Did Sen Mark Kelly make some calls? Maybe. But I think the sheriff's office was on it right away. I would not jump right to influence being behind it.

Oh, I don't mean morbid thoughts, just general housekeeping that likely needs to be done. There is likely food and garbage that needs attending to, and there might be things at Mom's house they would like to have right now for comfort and/or practical purposes.

But with media and youtubers staring at the house with cameras poised, they might not feel comfortable going there. That is very sad and frustrating as is it the home where they grew up for the most part.

That is THEIR place, but the media and youtubers are squatting there.

I sometimes wonder if we’re making this mystery more complicated than it ought to be, that we’re treating the perp as some sort of criminal mastermind and overlooking something so obvious because that would be “just too easy.” The clues may be staring us right in the face. I hope this crime doesn’t go cold. I wonder at what point, time wise, a case is considered to be heading in that direction. It would have been better if we hadn’t heard that a person was brought in. Now, we know that they truly don’t have a prime suspect. Had things gone quiet we would have thought that maybe they had someone under surveillance. Their suspect has now been let go.

Hate being a Debbie Downer, but those are my thoughts right now. I wonder if the family will end up hiring their own private investigator.
They did hire a PI

Thank you for this. That website seems to be UK-based, or at least uses words like "colour" and "stockist."

As for "what can WE do with this" thinking...huh? This is Websleuths, lol. Did you make a wrong turn?

Knowing where a jacket is from can provide critical information. Look at any true-crime hobbyist website or forum. This kind of analysis just might be useful.
I recall many times Tricia has mentioned that critical information like brand of jacket, where jewelry was made, etc helped LE in their investigation. This would NOT be the first time! Big heart here--I follow unidentified threads and any information LE can glean is a step in the right direction for them. I can't remember the name of the case--I'd have to go back and look--but LE was actively participating in the WS forum. Or other threads where LE stated provide us with some names to look at and why you think this UID is this person.

It's so common now that the phrase "Sluethers do your thing" is often used by MSM or LE.
