A person yesterday posted that both that mouth flashlight and the gloves are habitually used by mechanics.
(Not that this perp is a mechanic)

Only thing about mechanics habitually using mouth lights is that they have many metal surfaces to mount magnetic lights on, and typically use those instead (in my experiences with them generally and in working on cars sometimes myself).

However, HVAC, electricians, plumbers, pest control, etc. would likely need a light like this in the atypically visited and cramped locations they often find themselves around a home or business.

To me, the body and movements are distinctly male. The suspect has a square head, wider shoulders with straight hips. The ski mask lays tight against the skull, indicating short or close cropped hair. I also think he's possibly wearing a mask inside the ski mask, which is why so many are thrown off with the eyebrows. JMO.

Agreed, about 2 masks. Maybe a female looking one underneath, to throw off facial recognition.

My guess is that this guy thought that if he had a layer of clothing, gloves, etc., possibly on top of an inner layer of clothing, gloves, etc., that the outer layer would protect him from getting fingerprints or DNA on things. So he thought the outer layer could be discarded and he'd be safe. Just as he apparently thought that the ski mask (and any possible inner masks) would protect his features from being recognized.

Totally agree. You can see the other, unrelated guy’s face/bald head and no gloves. That happened in a really bad area of Tucson too, with a high population of drug users. IMO it’s just a guy on drugs looking to steal something and is definitely not related to NG. MOO though.

Discussing a bald head, wouldn't it seem a man planning a crime might shave his body hair in order not to leave DNA?

I think he's alone. If you watch closely when he approaches the gate, I can see the gun holster swing out from his waist. I think it's the same dude.

No direct sources on why they think these items are the brand listed, but grabbed larger images for anyone that wants them.

They think the jacket is 2XU brand, the gun holster Uncle Mike's, the nitrite gloves Hyper Tough, and the backpack Ozark Trail. I know there's been some chatter about Ozark Trail. All four of the items I just listed appear to be sold at Walmart. They think the ski mask is Rothco, which they've found online.

This seems to be a good fit for the mask. Apologies if this has already been linked.

Why would you wear glasses under a mask? They’d get steamed up and you wouldn’t be able to see a thing.

When I look at this video, I see a person exploring the home. They are cognizant of being seen, hence the ski-mask and they are aware of DNA, hence the gloves, or layers of gloves. They are bundled up, way beyond what a person from a colder climate would wear when its 30F, so a local. They don't see well at night, so they have this mouth-activated light and need it to navigate the step (it was moon-bright, that night and the perp leaves shadow its so bright). However, they don't seem to be prepared to deal with camera, but they quickly improvise. I think they have experience breaking into homes. While Nancy may have been targeted due to her family, to me its equally likely she was targeted because her house was dark (the porch light isn't on).

Good observations. That front porch light is downward facing and somewhat enclosed by that front portico area. I bet it is dark sky compliant. I wonder if NG typically left it on at night.

ETA: it would be nice if the Uber driver remembered whether it was on or not when she picked NG up at 5:30 pm.
