it is no doubt cash but the camera footage in the store should be very helpful. Or. it could be online purchase?Lets hope there is a purchase with a traceable card and not cash.
Honestly at this point? Unless I learn more/something different - at this point I think both groups are not doing such a great job. Local LE may not be equipped for this and there have been criticisms on recent FBI handling of high profile cases aside from this one & the current leadership...I have no doubt they are very motivated and desire to show a strong and quick resolution but they don't seem to have it all together at least from this seat, which is concerning.
That is institutional failure.
TMZ is turning this into a circus, and Harvey whats-his-face is the carnival barker.
That is really good to know! From all the media reports, including people on the scene, it's pitch black there at night because of a law. The media strikes again! Not true at all. I’m in the area and have multiple porch lights on every night and the majority of my neighbors do too. I have never heard of anyone getting fined for lights against the lighting ordinance, it’s more of a technicality when building than anything.
TMZ is being TMZ which is not new...LE is supposed to be capable of managing this since the media handling is not in the least bit new imoTMZ is turning this into a circus, and Harvey whats-his-face is the carnival barker.
They're NOT helping LE with all these sideshow ransom note headlines.
If they get something from purported kidnappers, they should share it with the FBI & NG's family.
Keep it out of the public domain.

Source please and thank youUltrasound 4K mini cams are used by law enforcement at crime scenes:
Scene documentation before disturbance
Investigators aim to preserve the original condition of a scene. A mini cam allows close-range, high-resolution video capture of:
- The body’s position and orientation
- Surrounding objects and room layout
- Bloodstain patterns or trace evidence
- Entry/exit points and pathways
Because the device is small, it can capture angles that a standard handheld camera might miss without requiring investigators to step into sensitive areas and risk contaminating evidence.
Close-up forensic recording
Mini cams are useful for documenting:
- Injuries or markings on the body prior to movement
- Identification features (tattoos, scars, jewelry)
- Small items near or under the body
- Tight spaces (under furniture, behind objects)
This creates a continuous visual record that can later be reviewed in court.
Chain-of-custody and procedural transparency
Some agencies use continuous video recording during recovery to show:
- How the body was handled and transported
- What evidence was collected and when
- That protocols were followed
This protects both the integrity of the investigation and the personnel involved.
Confined-space inspection
In cluttered or hazardous environments (e.g., hoarding situations, fire damage, structural instability), a small camera can be extended into spaces before investigators physically enter, reducing risk and minimizing disturbance.
Importantly, these cameras are not used to locate bodies through walls or floors (that would require radar or thermal imaging technology, which is a different class of equipment). Their role is documentation and safe inspection once investigators are already on scene.
Don't wanna take this conversation to another place so please just like this if any of you remember the Jayme Closs kidnapping and being just utterly shocked at how bad and unorganized LE was. I am getting very similar frustration with this.
This person is interesting. If they truly knew the kidnapper but they themselves were not involved in the crime in any way, they can report to the FBI and get the $50K reward. So yeah, either a scammer or someone closely involved in the kidnapping (could be the kidnapper themselves). They need to throw all these scammers in prison
Ok so back to a range...but why wasn't this gathered earlier...unless they are just reiterating their previous requests...The Pima County Sheriff’s Department tells us, “We’re looking for video from January 1 - February 2. PCSD is about to send out an alert through the neighbors app, wants people to pay attention to who is sending out alerts, and make sure it’s from officials. Alert will be sent out to those who live in a 2 mile radius of the Guthrie residence. Investigators are reviewing video submitted by neighbors.”

MOO someone needs attention.
More attention should be on locating NG rather than what the abductor is wearing.
Nest cam had batteries so it continued recording. MOThis is interesting.
How was he on film at 2:12 a.m. if the nest cam was disconnected at 1:47 a.m.?
Does it continue to record whether disconnected or not?
In other words who knows how much footage and what all was recorded on that camera? Holy crap!
Exactly.Yea I agree his body language is a little off but I imagine he's in shock. Being detained, now you have a gaggle of reporters at your house, you're trying to defend yourself while also being confused about what's going on. He may be a little cagey but that doesn't mean he's guilty. IMO
same
If they get a ransom note, I don't see why they can't talk about it. Thats my opinion thoughTMZ is turning this into a circus, and Harvey whats-his-face is the carnival barker.
