THIS. Just my own 2 cents on this. I have always said to myself while watching true crime stuff that I understand that family members are looked at first, there is a reason for that. But if I truly did not do anything wrong, I would be screaming from a mountain top to get your investigation with me over and use your resources to go find my loved one. I would be telling everybody that I am innocent and have nothing to hide, there certainly is not a shortage of media around to get that word out. Again, that is just what I would do.
Does anyone find it odd that AG and BIL have not made statements considering some people in the public believe they had something to do with it? SG has a couple times holding out hope mom was alive. I mean, did LE tell them not to say anything? All so odd. There's almost always someone that speaks out. Hell, fD claimed he was innocent. This is such a weird case.

LE and lawyers, including SG would have likely advised against that. It probably wouldn’t do much good for them anyways. Everyone would analyze every move and thing they said with such scrutiny. If they are innocent (which I suspect they likely are) I can’t imagine how all the suspicions would impact them emotionally.

Legs and neck seem longer to me so he looks a bit taller than the suspect because of that. But those cameras do distort quite a bit, so who knows?!

Thanks for taking the time to do that!

JMO.

I also thought the same - that this man (Ring Camera) looks to be taller, but his eyes and lip/mustache area resembles the suspect at NG’s house. It also looks, to me, like he bends easier than the suspect at NG, his knees look more flexible whereas the suspect at NG’s house appears stiff and bends from the waist when grabbing the plant debris. Even with the backpack (NG suspect), you would think to bend from the knees to distribute the weight of the backpack easier versus bending from the hips, which makes the backpack shift more.

Was the other camera footage of the guy with two backpacks at a gate cleared? To me, that guy physically resembles the NG suspect better, also looks like he holds a flashlight in mouth, and the way he walks away looks slightly like a stiff limp, which would also make him bend more from the hips like the NG suspect did.

All MOO. (Will switch from phone to laptop to better link sources and to post a map I created.)

TMZ posts another video, again the face is blurred out, but you can still see they have a mustache like the person who abducted Nancy. Who knows if it's the same guy, but it's a lead nonetheless.
I'm glad they're looking into this guy. Seen on the unblurred Ring video, his face goes look like it could be the masked guy. That said, to me he appears to be taller & thinner than the masked guy. His shirt looks dirty, like he may be a homeless guy with little opportunity to wash, whereas masked guy looks more like a wannabe criminal.
But of course, the guy could've cleaned up and been outfitted with new gear before taking part in the abduction.

My gut feeling is that this is someone else, but of course I could be wrong.

I mean, why would they want or need to access her phone? For what purpose?
I don’t think they would take her phone but if ransom money was what they wanted I’m sure NG had her kids contact info in her phone. Which is why the media bitcoin ransom emails keep confusing me.

Retired after decades with Houston Police Department, she helped solve over 170 cases and is in the Guinness Book of Records.

Gibson is widely regarded as a living legend in her field and retired from HPD five years ago after a career of helping law enforcement identify suspects through witness descriptions. In this case, though, she’s working entirely on her own. No department has requested her help and no agency has signed off on the drawing.
The sketch should not be viewed as an official image of a suspect. Instead, it reflects the instincts and experience of a veteran forensic artist who felt compelled to use her skills in a high-profile case that has captured national attention.

Here’s the Harvey Levin video from a few minutes ago discussing this new video, FBI continued interest in ransom notes, etc.

The slouchy lazy demeanor of the perp on cam reminds me of a teenager being told to do something and he is doing the bare minimum. Probably too lazy to remove backpack to put tape over the camera. when he grabs the plant he looks to his left to see if anyone is watching. Maybe he realized how dumb that was and didn’t want the accomplices noticing. He also touched his gun to make sure it didn’t fall out after he bent over. I bet he dropped it multiple times in the past and wears it in the front so he does not lose it.
I did notice he hesitated looking toward the driveway.

  • ''There is no evidence that police blockaded Tommaso Cioni's home or that he is a suspect in Nancy Guthrie's disappearance.
  • The false claim about Cioni being a suspect was created by a Vietnam-based spam factory targeting Americans and Europeans with fake clickbait.''
''Former CNN and NewsNation host Ashleigh Banfield isn’t backing down from her report that Nancy Guthrie’s son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, is an alleged “prime suspect” in the 84-year-old’s disappearance.

Banfield first made the claims on her Drop Dead Serious podcast last week, reporting that a source had told her authorities had seized a car belonging to Nancy’s daughter, Annie Guthrie, the sister of Today co-host Savannah Guthrie. The source claimed there was some connection between the car and Annie’s husband, Cioni, who the police may be treating as a “prime suspect” in the case.

At the time, the former Banfield anchor said “these are just musings and not evidence,” while also noting that it’s normal for families to be vetted in cases of this nature.''

Oh. I must have missed where he stated that. Was it in a presser or print?

Here:

Law enforcement officials publicly denied claims that Savannah Guthrie’s brother-in-law is a suspect in the ongoing disappearance case involving her mother-in-law. The Pima County sheriff's office said investigators have not identified a suspect or person of interest in the case.

The clarification came after online rumors circulated widely on social media. Authorities emphasized that misinformation can interfere with active investigations and urged the public to rely only on verified updates from official sources

I mean, why would they want or need to access her phone? For what purpose?
If she uses Face ID to access bank accounts and 2 factor authentication they could set up transfers to their accounts and then transfer out much like scammers do?

That’s been my impression all along. His first intention was a knock and then a function from the camera distracted him. Did he expect the camera to be already disabled for some reason?

Yes he did because the disconnection of that camera was at 1:47 a.m. and he was captured at 2:12 a.m.
The sensor obviously captured an event after the disconnection.
Although we don't know how that disconnection occurred via wifi cut / phone app etc.

This just meant he wasn't named a suspect, not that he was ever cleared

me too. all this 100%

the least bad theory I can come up with is that he was worried the camera would somehow see his fingerprints through the gloves.
@HerNameWasBuffy

new thought:
maybe he's trying to block the glare from the indicator light so he can see something? believe it would be right below the camera. not sure what he'd be trying to see, though.

edit: this is just talking about the weird hand posing

Looking at how some of this investigation has been conducted ,I would say that from day I the Sheriff was wilfully neglectful in how he failed to collect evidence and seal and guard Nancy's house.
This photo says everything. The door mat has not even been removed for testing .

I believe that in the first few days, the sheriff assumed this was an elderly woman who had wandered off confused. You know the saying, “Never assume anything. It makes an A$$ out of yoU and ME.”

Pretty much any sus male caught on ring video within a 10 mile radius is connected if you listen to some people. Guys that look nothing alike yet all supposedly look like NG’s abductor.
I’m in a neighborhood near NG. I wouldn’t consider any of the recent ring videos “close” to her house like some articles are stating. Not saying that a criminal wouldn’t hit up different neighborhoods, just commenting on the sensationalization. One of the videos going around is in a neighborhood that I’ve seen come up on the different local apps quite a few times. Tucson fb groups, Nextdoor app and Ring neighbors semi-regularly post videos of people trespassing at night, usually looking for unlocked cars, stealing packages, looking through windows. Those sort of posts are a lot less common in foothills.
Of course everything suspicious should be looked into, though. JMO as a local.
