TUCSON, Ariz. (NewsNation) — An FBI official tells NewsNation that Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos is blocking federal agents from accessing key evidence in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, hindering the bureau’s ability to assist in the case.

The evidence includes a glove discovered inside Nancy Guthrie’s home and DNA samples — described as “basically all the evidence” in the case so far, according to the FBI source. The sheriff sent the evidence to a private lab in Florida for testing instead of allowing the FBI to send it to its laboratory in Quantico, Virginia.

“We had to ask them to help, they didn’t ask us,” the FBI source said, adding that the bureau will have to test the evidence again after getting it back from Florida, which will take more time. “This is dumb,” the source said. “It’s insane.”
I wondered how long it would take before one or the other started throwing innuendos. Everyone has an ego...some bigger than others. Too bad such unprofessional behavior has to arise when success depends on cooperation. Seems pretty egotistical to remark that the FBI had to ask the Sheriff if they could help  IMO, this "source" should put on a Helpful or Harmful? Filter before speaking. The boots-on-the-ground people from all organizations working hard on this case involved deserve better.

Tucson is sounding quite scary…
Is this related?
TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A man has been arrested on several charges in connection with a homicide in South Tucson late Tuesday, Feb. 10.

The South Tucson Police Department said 26-year-old Leonard Miguel was charged with first-degree murder, robbery, kidnapping, and sexual abuse.

The STPD said the name of the victim, a 60-year-old woman, is being withheld until her family is notified.

How many times now has this guy been interviewed about this? (Attaching an image from the first one I saw.) It seems fishy he’s just hanging out over there repeatedly, waiting for chances to say it is the SIL who did it. He lives 15 minutes’ drive from there, he said in the first one.

MOO
Do you have the link to his first interview? I got hinky vibes watching it a few days ago and then when the porch video was released the first person I thought of was him!
ETA found it. He is spending way too much time hanging around.

I don’t think they would take her phone but if ransom money was what they wanted I’m sure NG had her kids contact info in her phone. Which is why the media bitcoin ransom emails keep confusing me.
LE should have a very good idea about any interactions with Nancy's phone. If it was an iPhone, it tracks pretty much everything the user does.

This video is 9 years old, so some things have changed within iOS, but it gives a good overview of what gets tracked. Timestamped to the section where they discuss lock/unlock states.

If she uses Face ID to access bank accounts and 2 factor authentication they could set up transfers to their accounts and then transfer out much like scammers do?

JMO
I think we'd have heard about that if they tried to transfer funds directly.

IIRC the wheel tracks discussion started with speculation about what might be wheelchair tracks. Try searching the thread for wheelchair. Or trashcan or wheelbarrow...there were several things mentioned as "could be".
I found the photo - looking at it it seems each indentation is the width of a car tyre but the two noticeable ones are too close together for the width of a car. But they could have been from two separate occasions.

Anyway, here is the photo, I don't think it aligns with a suitcase now that I've looked at it closely

Yes he did because the disconnection of that camera was at 1:47 a.m. and he was captured at 2:12 a.m.
The sensor obviously captured an event after the disconnection.
Although we don't know how that disconnection occurred via wifi cut / phone app etc.
25 minutes between the disconnect and the knock? That is an eternity for anyone pulling a job.

I believe that in the first few days, the sheriff assumed this was an elderly woman who had wandered off confused. You know the saying, “Never assume anything. It makes an A$$ out of yoU and ME.”
See I think he quickly went to kidnapping by stranger. He was adamant at first that she didn't wander away. Media quickly jumped from that to possibility of kidnapping and if a ransom was ever asked for. Then about two days in, then a ransom message popped up and I think media and sheriff ran into that direction. They did crime tape and search Nancy's house about four or five times -- each time taking down the crime tape. They never brought dogs in to search from house to wherever. We just saw boots on the ground for the first time over a week after she went missing. We did see searches at her daughter's house, which does seem fishy. I truly think someone close to her did this. If it was a robbery, we have NOT been told to look out for those items. So, I think this was personal. I really wish they had done a ground search much earlier, kept crime scene tape up (even pizza and Amazon deliveries happened -- did they contaminate crime scene on porch?). We saw that it was their 3rd or 4th time searching that they found a camera they missed. What about these "gloves" that got sent to Florida crime lab? Were they looked over in the initial searches as well? I still think ransom notes were done by people not involved in taking Nancy. The criminal(s) went to extreme measures to not show any skin or identifying marks even though they thought they were dismantling the camera. It sure seems like this premediated -- who does that besides a close friend/family member?

Inserting himself into the narrative.
Does he realize how much he resembles the suspect?

Maybe a phone pinged near AG’s house late that night, and looking back at cell phone tower records, that was not a number that had history pinging around there.,ie. A possible burner phone. Excuse my non-technical explanation. Speculation only.
I wonder if it's the last place Nancy's phone pinged

I keep thinking about how the perp didn't cover the camera with an open hand and used a fist. I watched the videos several times and wondered whether they don't have arthritis, a disability, or an illness that prevents them from fully opening their hand. JMO
I think the right hand is fully functioning. The way the gun is in the holster, this person is right-hand dominant. He would need that hand to quickly pulll out the gun if need be. No one would use their weak side.

I respectfully disagree. He fumbled with the gun using his left hand a couple of times.

I don't think so, because the blood isn't present in the doorbell camera video .
The Lantana looks very dry and it may have been blown around by the wind, and trodden on by family members / police / reporters, at any time after the blood landed.

The puzzling thing to me is why the blood doesn't appear to have been trodden on or smeared, either by nancy or the assailant.
