There are countless reasons why they shouldn't pay for the so-called information this man claims to have. That said, I pray they take the chance — even the slightest possibility that his tip could lead to finding NG makes it worth considering. What he's asking now is actually a fraction of his original demand of one bitcoin ($68,878). He's willing to accept $50,000 in bitcoin upfront, with the remaining $50,000 due only after she is found. If it were my mother, I'd make that gamble without hesitation.

The police/FBI should put out a statement to the person emailing TMZ, saying that knowing someone’s life is in immediate danger, as the emailer appears to have hinted, but not contacting authorities or doing anything to prevent it, can be considered a criminal act in and of itself, and that if they do not come forward with the information they have, they’ll be charged as an accomplice when the perps are apprehended, alongside additional charges for obstruction and misprision of felony.

Celebrities being kidnapped for ransom isn’t some new concept. Frank Sinatra Jr., Patty Hearst, J. Paul Getty III, and even the Lindbergh case all involved ransom demands. Criminals don’t need a GoFundMe for inspiration.

It has not happened for a very long time. It's a startling novelty in the eyes of most people today. A successful celebrity kidnapping that nets the perps millions would spark a wave of copycats, probably extending to normal people as well as celebs. MOO

I just read up on some of the history of the sheriff and the many missteps but really, if all is true then it should have been more than enough to get him out of that position somehow.

I just feel so vibey on this being an organized event where Nancy walked into a trap. she may not have even been dropped off alive/ conscious. they could have brought her back into the house through the garage and out the front door etc all for staging purposes. they could have easily drugged her and gotten rid of her. I don't believe in a stranger intruder theory at all.

I don't believe he could take her out of there without help unless he literally dragged her to his partially hidden car..so he has accomplices...nothing is stolen..no robbery has occurred. there is no sexual motive with two to three accomplices,

so, the motive is money....yet hmmm, they don't seem to have kept the victim alive...so now we have three kidnappers with a dead victim, so now what?

As far as i could find info on this;

a standard medical implantable pacemaker does not have its own IP address. They use low-power, short-range radio frequencies (around 400 MHz) to transmit data to a nearby bedside monitor or smartphone app. These home monitors, not the pacemaker itself, then connect to the internet.

I have no inside knowledge on pacemakers and her specific type she uses ofc so all of this is just googled

So the pacemaker does not have a unique signature. What if multiple people with pacemakers are playing bridge? How does the monitor handle that? What about assisted living facilities?

The pacemaker is bluetooth, so has an IP address, correct? And it has a battery that lasts for many years. Could Elon Musk utilize StarLink to drill down to the approximate current geolocation of that IP address? (And now you all know how little I know about all that stuff...).

And even if that is not possible, could he do a "fake out" indicating that it is possible? (So LE could observe anyone who might be on their radar?)

I actually think the Elon could probably do something like you are suggesting. It's such an interesting concept.

This may be a stupid question but here it is: Does the FBI have the capability to clone the encrypted Bluetooth specific pacemaker information to other phones? If so, if any phone synced to NG’s pacemaker she would have to be within 50’ alive or otherwise correct? A pacemaker battery has charge for 7-10yrs and continues until removed. 50’ isn’t a very big area but could be helpful. Idk just a thought.

Might not be of any use in this situation but could possibly become an enhancement for future searches of any missing person.

I just watched a news outlet yesterday who researched the range, and it's only 10-30 feet, but I really wish it were greater, because this is a great idea I've seen bounced around!

Wouldn’t the range depend on the strength of the Bluetooth? The pacemaker range is likely constant, but can a phone’s Bluetooth be amped up? I am not technical, but seems reasonable.

This is an interesting article on ABC news with an update from an hour and a half ago saying that they have DNA results back and now they are just eliminating people, including people who had access to the house like staff. So it seems they found foreign DNA in the house, possibly even someone's DNA who they believe to be the perpetrator.

What's confusing me is the public dissemination of the ransom emails. If Nancy is still alive, the abductor or abductors are still around to be apprehended (i.e., still in the country), and the emailer has legitimate knowledge of their location, wouldn't this just prompt them to, you know, flee?

Very good point but they have not communicated in many days (to our knowledge). They could already be gone but it would help to have a name. ( I respond and react as a daughter and a mother..I would never make it in the Law Enforcement world. )

I have no idea, i'm not familiar with pacemakers or do not have anyone in my immediate surroundings with one
I can only assume they have a unique id number which connects to their own device. Like a modem in a house, you need to log in with a password to connect
