<snipped BBM>

As of mid-February 2026, the disappearance remains unresolved, with law enforcement confirming that no suspect has been identified and no arrest has been made. Updates have been limited to confirmed facts to preserve the integrity of the case.

Police have clearly stated that rumors circulating online involving Savannah Guthrie’s brother-in-law as a suspect are false, reiterating that such claims are not supported by evidence.

As officials work to shut down misinformation and protect the family from harmful speculation, the emotional toll of the situation has become increasingly visible.

That's not accurate though. What Nanos has said repeatedly is that NO ONE has been cleared.

It did say a while back that they were taking the DNA of the workers etc.
It's unfortunate the DNA wasn't a match with anyone on the criminal database.
.
Maybe NG just happened to find it near her mailbox and brought it to the house. All sorts of scenarios.

Also thought the suspect at the front door might be a tradesmen like an electrician and plumber who works in dark spaces. He seemed quite adept with using it in his mouth.

Agree that he likely already had a mouth flashlight. MOO
Many tradesmen use them - even those who make jewelry. Interesting, no? I have never known anything like that exsisted. Still, anyone at a store may have seen and thought it was a good idea for their evil doing.

Conspiracies happen, no doubt, but why have someone take out your Mom/MIL and then have that person risk your exposure by conjuring up a national media ransom demand, and then remove and hide the body where no one can locate it?

'Ain't getting no money' any time soon if that was the reason you concocted your crime.

If you're going to have someone take out your Mom/MIL, then you're not going to want them to turn it into a national media spectacle and one in which you were the last person or persons to see her alive. You're also going to have a really solid alibi in place, like "I was fly fishing in Uzbekistan, here are my Orvis receipts", or something.

JMO.
Well to be fair we don't know *yet* if the ransom and the crime that occurred with Nancy is indeed related.

If they're related then I agree with you.

Hopefully, one day soon we will find out. !

I wasn't aware they've been taking DNA from all the staff, workers etc. ( i've missed info even though I try to go over those 20 some new pages when I catch up)
If none are in the data base due to previous criminal activity, we can't assume someone amongst them was innocent when perhaps he was never caught, or this is a first time event.
Or someone who only came in briefly, to check whatever or ask about seeing their lost dog or something.

Gah, makes me remember when a prospective buyer knocked on my door to look at my house. I told him to call the realtor. He ending up raping and killing a realtor at another property, at the end of her open house stint.

I think somebody didn't want savanna going to the Olympics
IMO this has nothing to do with the olympics. There are plenty of other ways to prevent her from going if someone in some way really thought she shouldn't go.

If law enforcement suspected a family member of committing this crime, or had any convincing evidence that made a family member even a person of interest, they wouldn't be swatting and knocking down the doors of an entirely unrelated person's home 45 miles south of Tucson.

JMO.
They have had access to the family’s home so they didn't need to knock down their doors. That doesn’t mean they cleared them.

At this point, I would pay the ransom. I'd want my mother back ASAP.
lets be fair-paying it wouldn't necessarily bring NG back-especially if they didn't have her in the first place IMO

The pacemaker tech has been very interesting to learn about.

Loving the suggestion of cloning the app from Nancy’s phone onto all the plod’s devices and send them off on a search, I hope they are reading this thread!

With just a 10ft (or so) radius they might just as well be grid searching.

What has stopped full-scale area searching that occurs usually in the last place a person was known to be ??

Searches happened first day or so then called off. Did LE have really good reason to believe Ms Guthrie would not be located in surrounding area from the beginning and, if so, How ?

And...could this have been a huge mistake...

DNA has been found, but authorities not sure who it belongs to, Pima County Sheriff Nanos says

This is a 15 min interview posted today (13th). Sheriff Nanos states this about the DNA found at around the 8:40 min mark.

That's not accurate though. What Nanos has said repeatedly is that NO ONE has been cleared.
Exactly. Sheriff keeps saying that NO ONE has been cleared. Even if they have previously questioned a person and let them go, the Sheriff reserves the right for people to be re-questioned and investigated further. MO

If NG was meant to be killed, it would have been done in the house. Easy. No one around but her for hours. Would not have been worried about where to take a body.

I see the connection you're trying to make, but I'm struggling to understand why anyone would need a bite light when making jewelry. Is this a known thing, or just rumor? It seems like making jewelry is a task best done whilst sitting at a desk with a strong light and magnifying lens, like one might use when soldering electronics.

Yes, the pacemaker will respond to requests from the monitor at a distance of about 5-10 feet. It's important to keep limitations in mind - specifically battery. A pacemaker has an internal battery that is not rechargeable. Under normal use these batteries will last 5-7 years and the battery has to be replaced at that time. This requires a surgical procedure and often an overnight stay. Allowing a pacemaker to transmit continually or via a strong signal drains the battery much, much faster and the risk of a battery replacement procedure outweighs the benefit of continual transmission and stronger RF signals.

In the past patients would see their doctor every 3-6 months and a wand is used to collect data stored in the pacemaker. A few decades ago bedside monitors came into use to collect this data without a visit to the clinic. More recently phone apps have come into use to take over that function. These apps simply replace the interrogation wand used in the clinic so patients have fewer visits and data can be sent to the doctor more frequently, once a month instead of every 3-6 months, for example. They are definitely not designed for, or capable of, tracking or locating people. IMO
your pacemaker explanation ought to be stickied to the top of every page! It is very valuable. Thank you for that

If a family member killed their mother for money, do you think they could maintain innocence at family gatherings. That's one hell of a pokerface.
And then anything is possible when someone has a serious and untreated mental health disease. For example, some sociopaths wouldn't blink an eye. JMO
