Curious what is keeping a media outlet from ponying up $50,000 as either an investment towards potential profit generated from ad revenue received simply from reporting that they took a small (for them) financial risk, or for the altruistic reasons of potentially returning a victim, in whatever condition, to their contemporary's family for closure (and, of course, the ad revenue that subsequent reporting on it would bring to the company because of their goodwill)?

Would it be a crime? I honestly don't know.

JMO.
I would think they would take direction from the FBI.

Such a good point. They could make a name for their organization while potentially doing a lot of good.

As I've said before, though, why doesn't SG just do it? Why even wait? Pocket change, almost. Literally 1.25% of her gross salary. That percentage of my salary is something I'd bet in a heartbeat.

It’s probably not illegal for a media outlet to pay a ransom.
But what do you do the next kidnapping? How do you explain to their family why you’re not doing it for them?
Would it encourage potential kidnappers to go ahead with it because they figure the media outlet will pay it?
A bad precedent I think.

Definitely a bad precedent, but I imagine quite tempting.

While listening to an investigator on YouTube and from what I understood, Even though the perp removed the camera, his picture was already taken and it did nothing for him to take the camera. It is reported she didnt buy a service agreement but the investigator said pictures are still saved randomly. I dont know.

The pacemaker battery is limited to send its signal…however, (I think) a phone can be boosted to receive 30-70 feet.

The pacemaker is still working, doesn’t have to be close or sending a signal.

What appears to be a blue shirt is hyperlinked in the Fox video on my previous post. It's just sitting there in a heap on a ridge by the walkway leading up to Nancy's front door, at about the 11 second mark. I cannot find it mentioned or referenced anywhere.

I have no idea if it even has any significance. For all we know, some random reporter milling about got hot and took off a piece of layering and threw it to the side. I'm not even positive it's a shirt. Is it some cloth investigators used and abandoned. The crime scene has not been secured the majority of the time, so I have no idea when that shirt looking thing got there or if it was left by anyone or if it could be Nancy's. I just find it bizarre that with thousands of posts, it has not even been questioned or mentioned. But it may be unrelated or have zero value.
Are we to guess that the doormat is new (placed after NG’s abduction)? What would be LE’s reasoning for leaving a doormat that may have evidence? Such an easy thing to transport in the big scheme of things. This surprises me a bit and then not at all.

After hearing about this new letter to TMZ and a request for $100k, I believe that person was part of the kidnapping or conspiracy to do so. Otherwise, he would just ask for the reward. But he does not want to get caught. He likely realizes there won’t be a huge payout to him, as promised, from the perpetrator himself or whoever planned this kidnapping.
I agree...and a potential reason why there's no huge payout is because the kidnappers don't have the ability to provide proof of life (read into that however you wish).

I don't think SG has anything to lose by paying the new information request. They have the author's email address so she could respond with "I'll pay you $20,000 now, another $80,000 when the kidnapper is charged and a further $500,000 if Nancy returns alive"

I also think that they would have to get the Guthrie family's permission to do that. Otherwise, if it's a hoax, they could be blamed for botching a chance to get NG back.

Many tradesmen use them - even those who make jewelry. Interesting, no? I have never known anything like that exsisted. Still, anyone at a store may have seen and thought it was a good idea for their evil doing.
I missed the context of this, the original post is making a connection between jewelry making, bite light, and someone in NG's family?

Nanos needs to stop speaking to the media until he can tell more about what happened. MOO. Has he directly appealed to the kidnapper (you know looking directly into the camera as he speaks)?
The ransom writer needs to stop toying with this family and impending the investigation. All MOO.
Bring Nancy home❤️

Wouldn't communication with TMZ be easier to track than bitcoin movements? They now have three emails from this person and the FBI have no doubt gotten all their digital forensic tools lined up to trace them if possible.

1. We have 1 ransom email --the original sent to AZ tv stations (KOLD/KGUN) and TMZ

2. A second ransom email that was never verified/linked and not much was reported about it, supposedly a follow up to above.

---
3. A tip email requesting 1 bitcoin in the approx. amount of the FBI tip reward at the time ($50K) saying they don't want to be a "national snitch" or accused "like that Carlos guy" (delivery driver detained).

4. A follow up to above stating "they are not being taken seriously".
--
So the recent "ransom" emails as they are clickbaitedly reported are a tip/reward request from an individual who claims to know who the kidnapper is and not a ransom notes or related to the first ransom communicators.. NONE of these emails are yet proven to be definitely connected to the disappearance of NG.

I thought the sheriff said he wouldn’t be giving any more interviews?
He didn't realise people were going to hang onto his every word and take that statement literally. 🫠

More likely, one of the detectives had an equipment cart on wheels for camera equipment, lighting, fingerprint kit, etc.

What might have given you that impression if I might ask?

I’m hoping to hear of seeing such inspection of the front porch seen on the livestreams maybe?

It seems otherwise that forensic techs would be coming and going in the garage with a cart instead of through the gravel and up the front steps or use one of the back doors near where the crime scene begins, I gather.

Granted I’ve been able to view only minutes of videos.

I assume the landscapers would not leave traces in the drive at a high end property.

Don’t the landscapers keep the drives groomed for up scale properties? Like with those smaller driveway grader things?

Just speculating.

Imo

I would like to know if they took a DNA sample from DE (convicted felon and bandmate)
They wouldn’t need to if the sample results has been run through CODIS, as a convicted felon would/should already be in the system.

"TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Pima County Sheriff's Department Mobile Command Unit left from headquarters on Friday afternoon. The Pima County Sheriff has not confirmed whether this is related to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, but sources close to the investigation tells News 4 Tucson it is related."

Let's go!

If law enforcement suspected a family member of committing this crime, or had any convincing evidence that made a family member even a person of interest, they wouldn't be swatting and knocking down the doors of an entirely unrelated person's home 45 miles south of Tucson.

JMO.
I disagree, I posted a link earlier today, that this person was texting family members.

Wondered if a dolly like the kids in the other crypto case bought to pose as delivery people.

Or used a dolly to wheel rather than carry an unconscious abduction victim to a getaway vehicle.
