I think thats a fair assessment. 99 times out of 100, that would be the case.

I sleep with my bedroom door shut and locked for safety/fire issues. Nancy did have hearing aids, I don't know how bad her hearing was without them having been said. She did not have a subscription to the Nest camera on the front porch, so that leads me to believe she probably didn't have an active security alarm.

LE asking for video from Jan 1st to Feb 2nd makes me think they might believe something or someone may have been in the area previously.

All my speculation.

I also lock my bedroom door. If someone was to break into the house and try to open my door, the locked door would give me the time it takes to arm myself and hit 911 on my phone.

Thank you so much for pointing this out. I've been thinking the very same thing.

In this instance, these are family members who cared and loved NG. They are people who are grieving, living in this situation. They might be listening to the social media frenzy declaring they are guilty of killing the very person they love. I couldn't go out and create more speculation from people that are strangers. And of course, will anyone believe them? JMO

intruder could have left DNA in the house- his clothing, gloves, pack could have his DNA on the outsides

He didn't name a location. He can certainly say they are setting up but saying where would be unethical. IMO there is nothing wrong with what he is doing-especially when he's easily one of the best independent journalists not tied to a news organization.

I do agree that he is one of the better ones. JRR, for example, pales in comparison to BE.

Further observations:

1. Only the 2 floodlights over backyard patio door were damaged according to previous posts in thread. Floodlight on guest house and front left of house when looking from road were in tact. Is this because Perp(s) entered from back fence going through other yards 1st OR was this staged to make it look that way. If “break in” was staged then did they have a key but wanted to make it look like a break in? A key would help them get in quietly and avoid any possible disturbance to NG before they got to her. Who has access to keys to her house?

2. I also do not think lantana man was surprised by front door camera. He initially walked up to it bent over with head down.
