I think one of those detained last night will be arrested once DNA results come back for them. That’s just my feeling. The amount of resources put into last night wasn’t for something minor. MOO
I hope you’re right.

Sorry hon, I have dyslexia so it would be difficult for me to do that. I would rather read one message.
Then you can just start fresh here going forward. Nothing that happened last night changed anything. No Nancy No bad guy.

Pool cleaning via CNN

They also addressed a pool maintenance crew that was seen at Guthrie’s home yesterday, saying it was “at the request of the Guthrie family.” The general manager of the pool company, Ken Kingan, told CNN it was the first time that the company had serviced Nancy Guthrie’s pool. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department was present at the house during the service.

BBM

Just putting this here as I found it interesting. When we had an in-ground pool we used the same pool cleaners for years and it was always on the same day.

I started ignoring this "new" member from the first question. Something is off.
Thank you, I forgot about that button ... well, I've never used it until now.

I'm not really sure how the this man gained entry to the residence but I don't think it had anything to do with the Holy Spirit or an out of body experience.
Also did you take a look at him? Ain't no one opening the door for that.

Perhaps he just broke a window pane like a regular burglar.
I am 77. There is NO WAY i will open my door at 2 am to anyone! Nancy’s mind was sharp. I doubt she felt 84. She was certainly wise enough to call 911 if anyone is at her door in the middle of the night. Just because you reach a certain age you don’t just get stupid. As a matter of fact, it makes you a bit wiser and careful to take precautions. If only our bodies were as strong as our mental faculties, we would be okay. I still know how to shoot straight and not miss my target.
i am praying for Nancy.

This is from Megyn Kelly on youtube. Apparently a neighbor saw a guy on her ring camera snooping around on her porch looking suspicious. Please look and tell me this is not the exact man who was seen on Nancy’s porch and why hasn’t the sheriff released this picture to the public to warn them?
Only difference I can see is that Nancy’s kidnapper wore an outfit to cover who he is and the guy on this video did not. there is a clear picture of his face.
When he turns to walk away, his gait is the same and his hips are wider than his legs. Very same. And he has that look of the dark eyebrows, mustache and goatee. There is a profiler discussed here who drew a picture of what she thinks the masked man looks like. This video looks like a cross between DE and the picture the woman drew.
“pretty distinguished” eyebrows, eh, Megyn? 😬
But seriously, that sure looks a lot like the hypothetical sketch going around.

Hi I'm new but have been lurking for over a week.

First, thank you to Tricia for pausing the thread, cleaning it out and restating the importance of the rules which differentiate Websleuths from Reddit and fb IMO (which is why I'm here and not there).

My question: I know the people detained have been released but what about the car LE had towed? Has it been released to it's owner or does LE still have it for testing?

Also I'll be forever grateful to whoever can tell me what "db" or "dbm" means at this site! I think I've figured out the other abbr. Thanks!

I do remember way up thread , a picture posted by a member of, prior to the tarp blocking the view , tailgate down , with items on it , one looking like a backpack . I wished I grabbed the photo . Does anyone recall seeing that , about 12 hrs ago ?
Yes and it did look like a backpack along with other items.

Edit: sorry it was posted below that was debunked it belonged to LE. I missed that part.

Heard another theory that makes some sense. This was a botched home invasion and not a planned kidnapping, etc. Nancy resisted and there was concern she could identify the perp so she was taken from the home. Still does not explain how he gained entrance, etc.

Shortly thereafter, they clarified that the backpack wasn’t from the Land Rover. It was from LE.

The sketch by Lois Gibson.4
Sketch artist Lois Gibson released a sketch of what she thinks Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapper might look like
“I GUESSED at the parts of face covered with ski mask on this Nancy Guthrie kidnapping suspect. I used the surveillance photos shown,” Gibson warned after revealing her sketch to social med

I think it’s risky for LE to release a sketch of a masked suspect. It could be off and then the public is then thrown off base as to who to lookout for.

I remember some investigators in previous cases were hesitant to release sketches for this very reason. They’d only release it if it was a cold case and they have nothing to lose.

FBI still awaiting testing results is the general response published in articles (they impounded the Range Rover, sealed and towed).

DBM = deleted by me

Your first sentence says they cannot ask the FBI to take the lead.
Your last sentence says FBI assists when asked.

The FBI came to town. And sheriff never asked. Yes FBI can take over. The sheriff only needs to ask their assistance. He should do so. Now.
It looked like they worked together quite amicably and intelligently last night at the Range Rover/Culver’s scene. I like that 2 departments are working together. It’s less likely that funny business will take place with 2 separate entities working together (checks and balances). They keep each other honest and no one gets sloppy. No funny business like we saw in the Karen Reid trial. I think Pima county should absolutely stay involved. The Feds aren’t necessarily any better than the little guys. Every department has value and brings something unique to the table. But overall it’s the checks and balances that we NEED especially in a case that makes absolutely no sense. There’s no clear motive….

As our organs shut down, they start to break down, resulting in a certain smell. Have you ever smelled a dead deer?

ETA: trying to put this in simple terms btw, figured no one really wants to discuss the in-depth reasons haha.
Anyone truly interested can learn more on the body farm’s website where they study body decomposition in different settings. Interesting stuff if you don’t get squeamish

Original one is at UT Tennessee

Savannah Guthrie and Michael Feldman Nancy Guthrie

Savannah Guthrie's husband seen in public for first time since mother-in-law Nancy's disappearance
Savannah Guthrie’s husband, Michael Feldman, has been spotted for the first time since his mother-in-law Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.

Feldman, 57, was spotted in Florida walking through an unnamed airport with his children — daughter, Vale, 11, and his son, Charley, 9 — whom he shares with Savannah.

Photos showed the family being escorted through the airport by at least three security guards on Friday. The “Today” Show host, 54, did not join her family for the trip.
