Mother with adult son living with her fits the stereotype of a marginalized. socially awkward, male who would have a delusional, loving, relationship with SG and would stalk her to satisfy his yearning to consummate or at least satisfy his yearning. THIS PERP IS A STALKER. I have said this here for 2 weeks. He can't have SG. He wants her attention. He goes to the mother's house and maybe is looking for something personal left there in her mom's house. He then takes NG to get SG's attention. He probably works very little, watches SG daily, believes everything she says on TV is actually a coded message of love to him. He may actually have told someone along the line that he has a special relationship with SG. Look for an unmarried male with low self esteem, few friends , no significant female, long standing, dating history. THIS IS YOUR PERP. Celebrity stalker that has targeted SG as his partner. MOO
And now due to the ransom notes he actually gets videos from her directed to him.
Interesting. I've always been on the side that thinks it's a stranger who took her, but hadn't thought of it like that.

Every page I open has this case as the lead story. I understand that is most likely because it's what I click on.

However, I have just realized the Minnesota news has completely vanished from my pages. I pulled a search and stories are still being written, but not with the fury and fervor of before NG vanished.

No likely a connection, IMO, but when people ask "what are we being distracted from?" my mind goes "hmmmmm".
It’s the weekend—I think that makes a difference.

This is assuming she’s standing with her nose to the door as it opens.

Most scenarios are: Open the door while still in the vehicle and still chatting, saying your farewells. NG being physically limited may need assistance getting out of the vehicle and to the door.

I would also expect MY HUSBAND to walk my mother all the way into the house. Help her get lights on, etc. Not just dump her off at the door to her own devices.
My mom is 80 and does not have mobility issues but adamantly does not want to be a burden at all. When we take her to the airport(she travels back and forth between my house and my sisters) she starts telling us the minute we get in the car just drop me at the curb, don’t park and try and take me in, I’ll be fine. While my husband is very caring and I think his instinct would be to walk her in if he was dropping her at home he would also tend to listen to her objections and just watch to make sure she made it inside and watch the garage door close.

Not out of the question, but why would anyone help him unless they are equally deluded? Do stalkers have accomplices?
NO ONE HELPED HIM, IMO. Who is helping him? I don't see anyone helping him! He and the bitcoin , ransom person are probably the same person. OR, the bitcoin person may be an acquaintance of his who knows the perp is obsessed with SG and will reveal his name for a price. Perp may also be a nerdy, bookish type who is somewhat internet savvy. He has been stalking SG online for awhile. Instagram, NBC apps etc. MOO

To be fair, the reported is asking him when hes going to find her. If he knew that, he would have already found her, right? He doesnt want to give false hope or spook a perpetrator by saying, "Yep, we will have this thing wrapped up Monday." I think the guy has a really difficult task at hand here because honestly, it's unlike any other case. Its very unusual. Im trying my best to give him and LE a chance. Many cases go completely insolved forever as you can see on this site. :)
The Sheriff is chatty. He gets himself into trouble when he is not concise, and his own opinion gets mixed into the facts of the case. He says there will be no updates, and then gets back out there on camera talking about the case. I take everything he says with less than a grain of salt.

My own thoughts on what happened keep changing, and there is not much information out there for anyone to draw a conclusion. I think there was more than one bad person at Nancy’s house, and I don’t believe the purpose was kidnaping for ransom. I think something may have gone wrong, and Nancy was removed from her home because the bad peoples’ intent did not go according to plan. I think there may have been a pivot, and everything went to sh*t after that.

There are plenty of women out there so intimidated by their adult sons that they might cooperate and help hide/care for a kidnap victim. The world is teeming with irrational, damaged and low-intelligence people, unfortunately.

If this is the case, I would think AG is a more likely target

Could a kind soul summarize the last ~30 pages?
NG is missing still, no one has been arrested, no one has publicly been named a POI or a suspect, several unsucessful SWATs Happened.

Brian’s interview with former sheriff BC. It’s kind of an eye opener.

And most home cams are b/w vs color so it would be VERY difficult IMO to tell difference between a “gray” car and a SILVER car—
The black rims on both vehicles is a great detail however and something that would be the same on any camera I would think.

Is it correct that AZ (like FL) does not require a front plate on vehicles?
correct, not anymore

Sometimes police don't clear a witness, person of interest, suspect, because they don't have enough evidence to charge but they still want to keep an eye on him/her

Police generally would not announce they were “leaning away” from anyone during an active investigation if they were still under suspicion. IMO they would not even “lean away” from persons of interest. Leaning away from any relatives of Guthrie possibly is as close to ‘cleared’ as we’re going to get.

And maybe Nancy doesn’t expect that level of help. Maybe she wanted to be more self-sufficient and didn’t like to be “babied”. Some people who do need canes to help mobility don’t want people “fussing” over them.
At this point do we even know what kind of car she was driven home in?
I am 77 and find it much easier to get in/out of our car than my daughter’s minivan or my SIL’s jeep. My daughter has started using a small stool for me to use getting in the car.
So IF the car used to return her was say an SUV with higher profile, then yes, she might have needed help getting out of the car. But if it was a sedan then probably not.
I don’t know there was anything specific about the car used on the trip home.
Good points. I’m not sure if it’s “known” what vehicle model dropped her off, but it seems like it’d be sleuthable.

If the garage door opens fairly quickly, then two minutes to pull in, help Nancy out, and reverse out of the garage doesn't seem crazy to me. That’d be enough time to see her open the house door. She’d need to wait for the SIL to back out of the garage before closing the door, so she might’ve waited at the house door, waving goodbye to the SIL. She wouldn’t want the garage door open for long once the SIL left.

I don't live in AZ, maybe someone could give us a rundown
on just what NG was doing/hawking/expressing on her
daughters' shows... was she hawking reverse mortgages?,
was she calling to bomb some place?,
was she advising the best way to bake pies or buy 9mm
Uzi's?.... WHAT FOR & How OFTEN was she on the show?

PLUS... did Savannah Guthrie express any dismissive
or questionable comments in a segment just after the
mother was on (fictitious example; yeah, that Maduro, he
had it a comin')?
No, IMO to all of those

One commentator suggested revenge. Interesting, but revenge against who? NG? SG? AG?
We can eliminate robbery. We can probably eliminate murder since presumably this would have happened at NG residence. SG said she would pay, yet nothing seems to have worked with that.

Any outside the box theory may as well be explored. Traditional reasons aren't working well.
I don't eliminate robbery as the initial motive, that may have turned into murder, and a good reason to remove the body is if there was any sexual assault,

Another thought I have had is if it is opportunistic maybe the perp had no idea who lived in the house, and had no idea that she was the mother of the famous SG, meaning he went there to either steal, or rape, or murder not knowing who was in the home, and NG being an elderly woman does not make her immune from someone who sets out to commit burglary and the crime turns into something much worse
To me it still comes back to why was she removed from the house? Usually a criminal will break in the home and do those things to the person and then leave. It’s much more complicated to bring the person with you, especially an elderly person

The reason I think the perp knew she was an older woman is because so many people in Arizona* are "locked and loaded" (as they always say in our local NextDoor group). Whether or not he/she knew she was connected to someone famous is not as certain to me - but I do believe he/she knew she was vulnerable and would be easy to overcome - versus some big guy coming to the front door with an automatic weapon.

*Perhaps the "locked and loaded" thing is different in the Tucson area, but it very much a culture in parts of the Phoenix metro.

All just my opinion/speculation.

LE asking for January 11th footage specifically has been confirmed by Sheriff Nanos and he said there was a valid reason for it.

Timestamp: 11:40

In this video posted by shonyakay, IMO the Sheriff seems like a no-nonsense individual who tells it like it is and is not bringing false hope to anyone. He explained the processes clearly:
  • the two LE (state + federal) are working together as a team, have meetings together and make planning decisions together
  • together, federal + state LE have generated over (14,000 + 18,000) = 32,000 leads within 2 days to sift through
  • this is a state case where they've asked for the FBI's help because they can't do this on their own
  • it may take time to solve this case, (just like other cases I'm thinking about like JonBenet, Natalie Holloway, Gilgo Beach, and so on)
  • nobody gets cleared or eliminated, including family members, until all the evidence is followed and processed
  • there was no glove found inside the home
  • the evidence was sent to a laboratory they've been using for 20-30 years and it makes most sense to use the same lab for all evidence rather than split the evidence between different labs
  • both the SO and FBI are working together
  • they have more than 400 cops working on this case 24/7
  • somebody out there knows this person; they want all the leads even if deemed unimportant to someone

I don’t think it necessarily means revenge against Nancy could be anyone she is close to.

TRUE, but are you suggesting that stalker mom was his assistant at Nancy's home? I just am stuck on two people pulling off the entrance and removal of NG. jmo
