I am not aware of what would be called standard. I wasn’t presented with an option. It would be what the electrophysiologist at her hospital felt was best and the manufacturer they contract with. Two brands I’m aware of are Biotronik and Medtronic. There are several…but IMO they would all store data for reporting. Mine even allows then to adjust the rhythm range detection point to where it should intervene. Tickles the throat a bit when they do this from a laptop. 😝
I don't know anything about pacemakers so this is very interesting to learn, thank you 👍🏻

Do you think that Nancy left her house alive? Or did something happen during the kidnapping/robbery and she had a medical episode and passed within minutes?
I believe she was alive at the time but isn’t now. There would be no reason to take her body from the home if she was already dead. That would only increase the risk for the perp.

Big or another dead end?
Nothing special—the DNA/RR is totally within public knowledge—I think click bait…they could be talking to a janitor at the sheriff’s station about gossip overheard…

I’d love to be proven wrong but I just feel like the whole glove thing is clutching at straws.

I’d imagine if you went searching your neighbourhoods you’d all find a pair of these gloves scattered somewhere - they aren’t exactly a unique pair of gloves.

Lesson learnt from this for somebody is don’t fly tip.. you could end up unexpectedly being a suspect in a missing persons investigation.
Maybe people will think twice about throwing litter out they've handled!

The criminal managed to evade and stump 300 FBI agents and threw a glove onto the side of a road. Yeah right.
Do I think the perp casually stripped it off and tossed it out the window so they could light a cigarette or open a bottle of water? No. As someone else pointed out, anyone discussing Brian Kohberger would not have thought he might leave his knife sheath at the scene, but thank God he did!

Unless this kidnapper was a career criminal, or a sociopath/psychopath with no feelings/conscience, I would expect kidnapping and/or killing an elderly woman to be disconcerting. The perp may have thought he had everything contained, only to have a zipper break, or a bag come untied. Someone might have caught it on a shoe getting in or out of the vehicle.

Kindly, what is the source for this information?
The poster ended their post with JMO - so it is an opinion only. Early in the case I heard on a new story that a close neighbor lost their wifi connection at approximately the same time. However, since I only heard it this is also JMO.

She was bleeding and didn't take her medication with her. If she's on beta blockers abruptly stopping the medication is dangerous and can lead to severe withdrawal symptoms like heart palpitations, increased blood pressure, severe angina, or heart attack within 1 to 2 days, as the medication clears your system.

Remember the cam on the roof they got several days later? Was anything ever said about it?
Haven't heard a thing about that roof cam.

Weird. Have heard of burglaries gone wrong where the victim is killed at the home but not where the victim is taken from the home. That requires a lot of effort.
Indeed, that's why i think if it was a burglary gone wrong it was a panic move to remove her to hide potential dna. In that case he probably is in CODIS.
And sadly if that is the case, Nancy's body is hidden away somewhere waiting to be found 😔

Arizona Sheriff Chris Nanos on Friday (February 13) defended his decision to send newly discovered evidence in the Nancy Guthrie abduction case to a private lab.

it was one glove found
The point is the misleading info that DNA on glove matches the suspect At the door—not the # of gloves—IMO

IMO, they weren't searching everywhere for gloves- they were focused on one particular stretch about 1 mile from NG's home. We now know they had a particular potential POI and car in their sights, which makes me wonder if they had some sort of information- video or similar- that made it more likely that related items would have been discarded along a particular route.

They could still be clutching at straws. However, I personally don't feel they were searching random areas for items. All IMO.

Same. They needed the fastest route to the getaway car and the front door is a straight shot to the street.
Heavy body, shortest distance to carry outside within view, out front door to car, in circular driveway.
