and let's say she was alive for a bit, how long can she go without meds?
Someone further up thread said about a month. I have no knowledge just quoting someone else’s insight.

I understand exploring the idea of a burglary that went bad. Hard to believe she may be alive.

JMO
How did it go bad if NG is still alive? Was she injured in some way and they wanted to hide that?

If he carried her out bleeding I feel she would have been bound and wrapped in a tarp. Why would he risk her blood in his vehicle??
Because he's not that smart and reacted on impulse? JMO

Very interested in the RR they towed. When the doordasher was detained, his car was released with him. They’re holding onto the RR for a reason IMO.

Has it been 48 hours since the SWAT bust ?

I believed they were still holding at least one person for questioning, without arrest, despite the word "released" having been used.

I try to analyze why certain information is disclosed and other information is not. Why tell us about a random discarded glove being sent for DNA sequencing? They didnt tell us what type of DNA they sent out from the home. Why are they so sure this glove is related? It is similar? Is the other glove in the house? It seems odd and random to me.
I had that same question earlier. I don’t get that.

1. Do they want perp to know they are close because they think perp will release her or give up? I’d normally think the opposite.

2. Pandering to the public?

3. Using it somehow with ransomers? Assuming separate?

a burglary gone wrong with a full backpack? where was he going to put the stuff he robbed? was there actually anything missing minus NG?

hard time believing this one, unfortunately.

would love to be wrong though.
Burglary doesn't necessarily mean "theft."

It's unlawful entry with the intent to commit a felony, which encompasses other possible crimes.

JMO— I believe investigators don’t have enough evidence to conclude she passed away, so they’re saying she could be alive. Unfortunately, I’m guessing there is less than 1% she’s alive even without a body. Keeping an 84 yo woman alive, medicated, and well, after 15 days with no further contact or ransom seems like a stretch. I don’t see the point of dragging this out with someone of her age. What would be the end game? If she was in fact alive, I would almost assume this is more for a control trip than money.
I do honestly hope she is out there healthy and ok, but I don’t think it’s likely.
KEEP THE FAITH!

Thank you for posting this. Very helpful info. NG's pacemaker may help LE locate her. JMO
Yes! I posted about the pacemaker as a potential use form tracking back on Feb 7th. LE should have been onto that long before me. If it has been my Mom, I would have been driving all of Tucson with her phone and watch looking for a Bluetooth connection no matter how rudimentary that would have been compared to FBI’s technology.

I still can't get my head around pool cleaners turning up and being allowed onto the property. I'd love to see some links about this if anyone has them? Could there be an alternative reason for this? JMO

Potentially unpopular hypothesis, but it is possible that no unknown DNA was found in the home and that law enforcement seeded that information to media outlets in order to stoke paranoia and an irrational response. Because paranoia certainly breeds irrational responses, and I imagine gets more criminals caught than DNA does.

It seems far more likely to me that if law enforcement found unknown DNA in or around the home that that isn't something they would want to disclose to anyone publicly. We know from reporting that they have digital sweepers on land and in the air, and are fiendishly monitoring cell and internet communications (think NSA) for a digital fingerprint, so I imagine they'd love a login or cell call to track right about now.

But a burglary gone wrong into a kidnapping is highly unusual. I don't even know how that would go down logistically.
The only thing I can think of is that during a routine B&E, the robbers noticed the pictures of NG with SG and decided to turn it into a kidnapping. Forget the silverware and cash, they were thinking big money.

Not the smartest move, but if these guys were young, on drugs, inexperienced, maybe it sounded like a good idea at the time.

All criminals that successfully executive crimes are lucky, even professional ones.

JMO.
I disagree.

Most of the most meticulous experienced criminals do far better than rank amateurs as with anything in life. There are still many unsolved cases with suspected professional criminals with extensive background and skill-sets (military, hacker, technical) that you can contrast to your bumbling meth head that gets nabbed early and often and does multiple bids at state pen.

But you have a very round-about way of discussing and qualifying your points. (Went from it's not his first rodeo, to well he's an amateur who was lucky, to all criminals including pros are lucky). It's ok.

Maybe he didn't notice her bleeding if the bleed didn't result from him being violent with her. She could've for example been injured while being carried, from bumping up against something.

It seems they were doing this within days according to this, unless I'm misinterpreting.

This is just my opinion, just a question and it is not based on fact; it is only conjecture. If someone has NG and she is alive, how could they return her to family without being caught? Is there any means of returning a victim who was taken on impulse and now is a big time liability?

  • #31,018
My thing is even if robbery gone bad, as in she wakes up....why not just run out door and leave???? She's 84 and you have a gun. So "robbery gone bad" not making sense either.
I don't believe they believe that. Saying and believing are not the same. Perhaps it benefits them for whoever did this to believe they believe it's a burglary gone wrong. IMO

Yeah someone suggested a couple pages back he could have taken her in a fireman's carry. This makes sense and while sidestepping through the front door, carrying her, he adjusted the carry cause she prob slipped away and therefore squeezed her a bit which created the spray of blood.
I still believe the reason he carried her out was because of fear of DNA traces. Who knows, maybe she bit through his glove or scratched him in the face or something.
JMO
Or cut herself to leave a trail.

Based on nothing but my opinion -- a way in which a burglary gone wrong leads to taking NG. Your DNA gets on her body somehow. Maybe she scratches you in self-defense so it's under her nails, something like that. If that happens, plus you know you are already in CODIS, you might think taking her is necessary because you're now identifiable in that way even if she doesn't survive. 😥

Maybe she recognized them?

So they decide to murder her but think that by not having a body found, they can get away with it. Defense could tell jury there is no proof she is dead.

Extreme amateurs.
