Passed away or subdued, carried out. Blood droplets all the way from front foot to car. Perfectly round droplets, not smeared, she did not walk out, her feet would have smeared the drops.

I’m thinking if in fact they believe it to be a burglary gone wrong, then the house was ransacked and there was evidence of her being grossly injured.

Still doesn’t make sense why they would take her with them.

So, it is being reported this was a burglary gone wrong, so something occurs and in the heat of the moment the perp decides to bring Nancy with him:

Since her coming along wasn't planned where did he take her?He just happens to have a place to store 84 year old Nancy without anyone else in his life knowing? IF she is alive he has been taking relatively good care of her? I mean he must if she is still living in this scenario. Feeding her for the last two weeks. What about her meds they said she really needed? I mean does he leave her to go to work? I don't know. My mind is flooded with questions about how this would be carried out.

I pray and hope Nancy is still alive.

To me, it looked like the backpack was still stuffed with the tissue/packing paper the manufacturer or distributor stuffs it with to demonstrate the bag’s large volume as it sits on Walmart’s shelf before purchase.

That is certainly possible, however in my opinion any items in the pack were put there after purchase.

JMHO, but I can't imagine a law enforcement agency not having a PIO. Even the smallest agencies in the Midwestern state I now live in have PIOs. One thing I've always said is that people think communications is easy...until they actually have to DO it. I'm grateful I was a reporter for as long as I was, because I can usually anticipate the questions I'll be asked. (edited - grammar!)

Potentially unpopular hypothesis, but it is possible that no unknown DNA was found in the home and that law enforcement seeded that information to media outlets in order to stoke paranoia and an irrational response. Because paranoia certainly breeds irrational responses, and I imagine gets more criminals caught than DNA does.

It seems far more likely to me that if law enforcement found unknown DNA in or around the home that that isn't something they would want to disclose to anyone publicly. We know from reporting that they have digital sweepers on land and in the air, and are fiendishly monitoring cell and internet communications (think NSA) for a digital fingerprint, so I imagine they'd love a login or cell call to track right about now.

That's a good point. I remember from reading true crime books years ago, there's actually a name for that LE strategy:

Put false lead or information out, then listen in on tapped phone for suspect to call another in alarm. Or make some kind of move.

Can i just say that a man from his posture can very well be able to lift Nancy by himself.
Being strong doesn't mean being bulky or have the size of a giant.
Especially if you're running on adrenaline.
There are many examples of smaller looking dudes beating bulky ones in a strenght competition.
This could mean he acted alone.

Pretty much nothing about this case makes sense to me. Why her, why take an old lady and nothing else, the weird, random, oddball "ransom" notes when kidnapping for ransom is super unusual here in the US in general...

I believe it is possible that some items were taken from her house. Possible there was robbery motivation.

Just like everyone else I just don't know.

I've seen some emergency responders carry people from the same family out of a burning house in my neighbourhood, they were unconscious.
That's why i believe it is possible there was only one guy who took Nancy, even if she already passed away.
