The perpetrator appeared to be wearing two pairs of gloves (likely to avoid his/her own DNA being deposited on the same DNA as the victim’s DNA). So, that person likely thought there was zero risk to tossing out the outer pair of gloves.

If these gloves are the perp's I was trying to figure out yesterday why they might deliberately nonchalantly ditch them. Premise being perp understands the implications of leaving DNA ( if their dna isn't already in Codis, as long as there is a good profile, which there would be Imo if unknown profile meets the requirements for Codis entry, then the next step is IGG and eventual identification. Jmo).

Apart from arrogance I still figured perp would have some 'rational' reason for arrogantly ditching them. The reason you give here makes sense in that respect. Thank you.

This can continue for quite some actually because the clotting mechanism in a deceased person is not functioning. Even a minor open wound will drain blood to gravity until that source of blood expires. IMO

Interesting. Do you or anyone know if blood thinners( pills) NG was on, would allow more blood to flow, even after passing?

BTW, my impression, the blood droplets we saw, front door to driveway, were small and scattered about 8” wide strip, all the way to driveway.

Very alarming, definitely related to crime, but Not really a life threatening appearance. We don’t know what it looked like inside ( worse blood).

She could have been roughed up, not deceased when taken. Ugh! Sorry…

To provide some insight into how home burglaries are carried out you may want to read up on Joesph James DeAngelo, aka “The Golden State Killer. He would break in, tie and bind up the occupants (whom were sound asleep) sometimes raping the female as well as rummaging through draws etc.
At times he would even have a snack with food from their fridge.
There are several books, “I’ll be Gone in the Dark” details his home burglaries as well as other crimes in California.

I loved that book.

I just want to clarify that the author, Michelle McNamara, died before she finished the book and never knew that DeAngelo was the culprit.

The book was completed from her notes by her husband, Patton Oswalt, and others.

It still gives a detailed and fascinating look into a man who broke into the homes of many women and the tragic things he did to them. Perhaps it would give some insight into what may have happened to Nancy, although I believe the circumstances were different.

But if he did it would explain the blood on the porch. If she were dripping blood from the nose or head some of the droplets appear to be large and intact while others appear to show some sort of splatter, perhaps from dripping off the backside of the intruders clothing (intact droplets splattering after contact with clothing). It owuld also explain why there were no bloody footprints.

Such an excellent plea by SG. IMO, she got great advice from experts in the best ways to plea for a person's return. From a psychological perspective, this message is brilliant and communicated incredibly well. IMO

Not at all. I've done it for great distances and I'm only 180 lbs myself. You don't need strength when you have leverage and your core and legs are doing the work. If there was a car waiting (and I think there was) it's only a matter of about 20-30 ft, if that. This position also perfectly accounts for the undisturbed blood pattern. IMO

I believe there is a gravel circular drive that goes reasonably close to the front walk as well as the paved drive to the garage.

I’m on blood thinners. What I know is I have to be tested every 6 months for platelet levels and if I get cut, I bleed like a stuck pig. I also bruise very easily.

Also this glove is 2 miles from her house. Lots of people carry gloves. People who walk their dogs, drug users, people who work in construction. It could be anyone....

Whoever it is, it's not a very good practice. Might protect their hands, but what about the environment.

I don't think it's likely but I do still think it's possible that the kidnapper(s) went to the wrong house and that could be complicating law enforcement's attempts to tie a potential perpetrator to Nancy.

I'm sure she's not the only older lady living alone in what is a wealthy area that probably attracts retirees.
