I think AZ has paper/poly temporary plates as well as paper dealer plates so could be either a dealer or temp plate. This differs state by state. Where I'm at, they have changed the process over the years. (not AZ)
I live in Arizona. We've bought three new cars since we've lived in this state. All three have started out with paper/temporary tags. Even when we've kept our old plate we've been advised to use the temporary plate until notice that all paperwork at the DMV is completed and we've received new stickers.

If law enforcement already know the identity of the subject on the doorbell video, (I'm not saying they do, I'm asking if) I'm interested in hearing views on whether they would release that info to the public, or keep it under wraps because they don't know where he is, or who he is with, and don't want to spook him?
or they are hoping he leads them to Nancy and he is being watched.

Yes, every vehicle I’ve purchased new or used has temporary paper plates until the county sends the permanent metal plates, sometimes up to a month waiting

BBM.

Similar to BK in the Idaho 4 case. LE zoned in on him pretty quickly and quietly built their case waiting for a DNA sample then IGG match.

It is barely possible, and not really believable.
SG’s plea must be another coded message to perps. ( At least get body back, maybe evidence)
Unfortunately, “ Doing the right thing”, isn’t really their thing! 🤷‍♀️
I assure you that humans have been held captive in dismal conditions for millennia. During wartime, for ransom, for various reasons.

It is quite possible. Google kidnapping victims held captive in the recent past and you will see a long list.

If they know him, they would not share that information to keep him calm and continue to get other tests/details together. IMO

The lock was broken in thst case so easy in
But there were a bunch of videos posted to the thread showing how easy they are to break into. It was the theorised entry point long before it was confirmed by LE for this reason.

I’m not clear what point you are trying to make.

Nest doorbells can indeed store up to an hour of video locally but if they are disconnected from the service then it never gets uploaded. The doorbell was removed by the perp and has yet to be found.

The video footage of the perp from the doorbell was uploaded to Google’s servers before it was disconnected, which is where it was recovered from in the end. It was not recovered from the device itself.

Also, there’s no evidence the WiFi was disabled.

Evidence Recovery: Recent investigations have shown that even if a Nest camera is deemed "disconnected" or the owner does not have a subscription, forensic analysis of Google’s "backend systems" may still allow for the recovery of raw, temporary data processed by the system before the connection was lost.

"If you are a crook and you want to burglarize a place, you're [going to] get in there and get the hell out," Williams said on "Saturday in America."

"They stayed in 41 minutes."

Possible NG was injured and unconscious, which took so long. It does not appear the criminals were looking for something, or they would have ramsacked the place. NG must have somehow been the target.

Hello, good morning Nin!

What do you think that white thing is lying in the doorway? Is that a sheet, a painters tarp??? Doesn't make sense that it is there.

I do believe the perp removed the camera or tried to at least at the front door @ 1:47 am and was unsuccessful (Lantana capture) I do believe he made his way to the back sliding door via the gate you had mentioned was left open. I do believe he took Nancy out of the house via the front door because a vehicle was parked near the front of the house. But for entry---I think it was the back door.

Now that begs the question. Did she have a bar she could put in that slider? If so, then how did he gain entry thru that door?
Sliders are extremely insecure, unless they have bars or additional locks, IMO. A few years ago, I watched someone remove locked sliding doors from the outside. It was a situation where an individual locked themselves out. It was remarkably easy. They just lifted the 2 doors right out of the tracks. It required strength, and the ability to tilt the doors in their tracks, but no glass was broken and the lock was still intact.

I am not sure whether a bar in the track would have prevented this. We don't know much about NG's sliding doors.

Just my opinion and personal experience.

The night she was taken was when she returned from her birthday celebration. It is a weird coincidence that a random kidnapper took her that same night. Highly unlikely that a random guy taking her for ransom or a burglar would have known it was her birthday. So was her disappearance that night just a coincidence or is there something darker here?

What do you all think will happen when they upload the DNA into CODIS? Do you think they will get a match or do you think this is the perps first time doing something like this and has never been arrested before?

I'm leaning toward--this perps first crime, he's not in CODIS and genetic genealogy is needed in this situation.

What are your thoughts?

CSI workers walking on those tarps IMO.

So then the subject tried to remove the bell cam only; he did not try to gain access through the main door. He does not even check whether the door is unlocked or not. Notice he looks at the left window panel first while approaching the front door.

He is removing the bell cam, since he is planning to pull up a car or have a car pulled up to load his loot.

When you slow down the speed of the FBI video, you will also notice that the right pocket of the jacket seems to have a bulk. That may stem from a speak all tool/screwdriver (which he does not use) or -like a poster said before - could be as walkie talkie.

You may also notice the subject has some pounds on his belly.. I will post pics.

Cheers,
Nin

Has anyone seen any reporting about the condition of the inside of the house? I have heard nothing about it being in disarray, or looking ransacked. Nothing has been reported to be missing except NG. I suspect that the 41 minutes were spent dealing with her. Maybe she passed out. Maybe she was gravely injured, maybe she was trying to negotiate with them. I think the bulky backpack may have contained a blanket or tarp, expressly to wrap her in and remove her from her home. Maybe they had to revive her and were successful, or maybe not. In either case, they did what they came for. JMO

The Lantana man was covered head to toe in coverings, how was his DNA discovered in the house? What was it? Did he sneeze and even with the masks on, droplets fell onto a surface? I think there were two people inside, maybe the second person wasn’t as careful and his/her hand physically touched something?
I would think to do anything he would have had to remove the gloves. they were so big and cumbersome that even grabbing things would be difficult.

Hopefully there is a DNA hit. Genealogy takes longer

People have assumed he must have a prior criminal record to get involved with this crime, but I have known of young guys who had an absolutely clean record and began with armed robbery and homicide.

So I agree with you: He may not be in CODIS at all.

ETA: Let's just hope the glove is really his.

Question..
Why would they target Nancy? There are many people who have wealth around so why her? It seems too much of a hassle to kidnap an old lady for ransom but idk, there is so much we don't really know.
Burglary Gone Bad?
I don’t think this is accurate. She just has a small home based business. She makes jewelry at home.

I think he'll have a rap sheet. He looks to me to be 30+ (IMO) and I think it'd be unusual for this to be his first crime. Especially with a weapon and gloves.

Right. I've heard of previous homicide cases where the murderer returns to a hidden victim over and over, to relive his pleasure.
