New alleged note claims Nancy Guthrie was taken to Mexico: TMZ

This sounds like the McStay theory, and we know how that one turned out. Harvey needs to hush up and keep this between himself and LE. He’s inserting himself into the case on purpose. It’s disgusting.

for them to say this is a low crime area there seems to be a lot of people on porchs at night ...
I think WS is great & Im sure helpful to LE, but im also sure LE has to keep things on the DL. They have leads we aren't privy to for obvious reasons. However, seems like there is such a mess with what's true.

I saw someone saying that they wonder if she was taken to go to an ATM and empty out her account. No money was taken, right? There are cameras at ATMs too.
No report of money being taken or of NG being taken to a ATM. After the abduction, I don't know if she was in any shape to be forced to go to an ATM and withdraw money. MOO

FWIW I do not think her car was damaged. Look at photos of 2025 Subaru Foresters. The bumper has some weird topography at the corners that could possibly look like damage, especially in the dark/poor lighting.
It would be interesting if it started off as a burglary. They thought she wouldn’t be home. She was, and they took her in her own car to empty out her bank account. Was the garage door opened after she was dropped off at all? I wonder if LE theorized that she was taken away in her own vehicle and that’s why they took it in for processing.

Way too lazy to look for all those videos. Will refrain from participating if requires that much effort.
Someone else did it for you. I appreciate your participation and didnt really feel it was required fwiw, but I’m not the boss.

I googled to see a 2025 car like hers. Just weird lines. I no longer think NG's car was damaged. jmo

Agreed. All I had to go on was the picture of her car on the tow truck. I do not believe that to be the case now.

This sheriff is...weird. He needs media training.

Also completely agree with previous posters that HE was the one talking about how they hadn't cleared anyone as recently as a day or so ago, and now he's all up in arms and offended that people were still speculating about the family? Dude, that's at least partially because of your own words, not necessarily because they were all heartless people out to smear an innocent person. He needs to get out of his own way. The media spotlight feels to me like something he's enjoying a little too much, even as he's not making himself nor his department look very organized.

I'm happy for NG's relatives and Nancy herself most of all that her immediate relations aren't involved, presuming they've been fully vetted as stated, though.

My theory. Speculation only.

Persons close to Nancy Guthrie who were in dire financial difficulties concocted a hare-brained and desperate plan to hire pro criminals to kidnap her, forcing a wealthy relative to pay the ransom.

They were assured the old lady would be treated well and merely spend a couple of days watching TV in Mexico until the ransom was paid.

Instead, the kidnappers botched the job and Nancy lost her life during the abduction.

The kidnappers continue to issue demands, despite no longer having her alive, and the people who hired them are left holding the bag.

Nancy will likely never be seen or found again.

Well, well and here we go.

Yes. In Mexico, many medications can be bought OTC at pharmacies without prescriptions.

I’m hoping she is still watching tv waiting.

All imo

A possible theory I will pose now the family is cleared- young man, socially awkward, deeply troubled, probably sociopath. Based on the raids, likely lives with his mother or an aunt. Planned this/targeted Nancy- though I am not sure how he picked her specifically. Possibly mom/aunt he resides with watches SG frequently. I believe it was intended to be a sexual assault but somewhere along the way things took a turn and NG was removed to cover evidence. Likely did not survive the night. MOO.

Well, I made a post yesterday AM about patterns I was noticing in the investigation. Specifically that both raids resulted in homes where it was a mother and son. I believe in Carlos situation it a MIL/SIL
Situation but it still stands. Both raids involved homes with mom/son ( male female) family situation where no father was reported. Both homes also had silver, (possibly grey) vehicles searched. Carlos, from the first raid, his vehicle was not seized. The RR was seized. Both vehicles have what appear to be dark rims. Of course this is my own amateur opinion. It was just something I noticed and couldn’t shake.
LE and FBI sometimes profile suspects. If they had profiled this suspect, I wonder if it might be a man in his 20s, 30s or 40s who is living with his mother. Nobody has ever reported such a thing, but I noticed that both men were living with a mother / MIL. JMO

er. The image I'd gotten from posts is that he is a bumbling, incompetent politician way over his head. I was surprised--and pleased--to learn Sheriff Nanos has had a 50-year career. He joined the Pima County Sheriff's Office in 1984, rising through the ranks from detective to chief of investigations to deputy chief, and then sheriff. He's been chief of the 1,500-member Pima County Sheriff's Office for 6 years. He holds a degree in public administration and criminal justice.

SNIPPED
It's not necessarily that he's bumbling, it's that he's always driven by ego and defensive to the point of putting himself first and a lot of the scandals and lawsuits point to that.

I posted the Sgt. Cross lawsuit along w/ Lt. Lappin's lawsuit against Nanos a few pages back along w/ his fiery interview against the FBI on KGUN from 2016, when he was investigated by the feds (and also a few other issues). In that post I also used one of your sources (azcentral that has plenty of coverage of his scandals and election).

Sgt. Cross, who personally worked the Giffords case btw (and Mark Kelly's political party props Nanos's election campaigns), believes Nanos's icy relationship with the FBI on this case goes back to that 2015 RICO fund investigation.

Both lawsuits also cover retribution so the reputation is that he is petty and defensive and egotistical (and of course Lappin who ran against him in his last election was placed on administrative duty by Nanos, and then calls for Nanos's resignation even came from his own democratic party). All those cited examples above/in that post point more to an egotistical driven individual who used his power to punish those in his dept. that went against him (Lt. Lappin's campaign was launched because she found that the classes she trained all expressed dismay with Nanos's leadership.). That is poor leadership that is despised by the rank and file.

There have been other detectives that have also interviewed sharing Cross's assessment that Nanos (who lost his last campaign, and only won the latest in razor close recount) is not popular among rank and file and most of the department's experienced personnel left because of the climate at the dept. brought upon by him. It is factual that the dept. currently is very green with a large percentage of probationary deputies, and a large percentage of detectives being Det. 1s.

Megyn Kelly still claims the source is legit and I'll never believe a word Nanos says - MOO

But what good does this do in finding NG? News figures bickering back and forth doesn't advance the investigation. They need to state who their source is if they truly believe the source knows more. t's my opinion that they are just trying to be relevant. JMO

An early profile they released said male, 30s - 40s. So part of that description has been released at one point!

sexual assault? say what?

Yep. I’m leaning more and more towards the two men from Friday being involved, and LE just working on proving it and figuring out what they did to Nancy.
That's what I think as well. MOO

I find it hard to believe that they thought she wouldn't be home at 1:48am on a Sunday morning. JMO
