It may just be me, but it sounds like she is "addressing" someone who is thought might actually know something and are out of their league and are scared. Like if you help us, we will help you. They can't say this, but IMO, they are implying that if this someone comes forward, they can make a deal where the person won't be charged or have greatly reduced charges. The notes may have nothing to do with it (or they might). That is my take on this.
Given that both the households raided by SWAT so far have involved men who live with their mothers, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they believe there's a woman out there who suspects her son may be involved but is afraid to come forward

Maybe in earpiece. Maybe just talking loudly through the window beside the door.

"Not there 'ya dummy, go further out and step down, THERE - to your right!"

(ETA: I hope they swabbed the interior of the window beside the door opening.)

Why would anyone do this? Why not go through the house where you/your compatriots have already effected entry (out of sight of front door nest camera), unlock and open the front door (out of sight of front door nest camera), unlock and open storm door (out of sight of front door nest camera), reach around to camera and pop out (out of sight of front door nest camera)?

For people who think all this front door palaver is "staged," are you saying the person or people behind this anticipated both that the footage would be unavailable ("no subscription") but later Google would be able to restore some of it? If so, what kind of person would know this and where in our Big Book of Past Crimes has something ever so elaborate been done in such a pedestrian (no offense to the Guthries, but this is small potatoes and NG would never be a target of criminal masterminds) setting?

I'm hoping the 11 January business at another home in the neighborhood is not just instructive but ultimately related. Means this was always local and opportunistic (no conspiracies needed), as it has always appeared, pace the poor federal media management that led to this crimewave of hoax "ransoms."

Maybe in their mind they think or know that there are other cameras around the house. If they go through the back, the same problem is posed.

And again..the blood splatter analysis pattern doesn't show the blood is staged..I'm not post it again but people can Google it .. Wikipedia it, or even take a course in it.

I still don't understand why DNA testing from a roadside glove is eliciting regular updates to the public.
It's like they want to assure the media/public that they're on it.

Yes that's how I viewed it until now when I looked the aerials over again, but there is plenty of room in the main drive to turn a vehicle around and load her up from the back. And far less likely to have obstacles like steps, etc. It also seems they entered from the back too. The perp in the video comes around the corner from the main drive when he enters the front porch area. We don't see a vehicle at the front circle drive in that video. So where is it? Probably on the side by the back where it appears he/they entered the home initially, and from whence direction he came to the front porch.

So why take the risk of bringing her out the front if your car is in the main drive (and you'd have to move it before getting her out the front)? Especially if it is closer to her bedroom, and most importantly, WIDE and FLAT.

And if you had time to move your car to the front, and you were operating alone, that doesn't bode well for NG's condition when she was removed.

It makes no sense.

JMO.
If lantana man isn’t the kidnapper, maybe his role in the video has always been to distract from what the “real” kidnapper looks like and how they carried out the task? As in, the real perp entered a completely different way, and there was always an assumption that this video would be found and focused on to distract us from the actual perp and path?

Hypothetically, the real perp/perps find some random homeless guy or hireable low-level criminal and offer him $100 to go scare the people living at this house. “All you have to do is wear this crazy disguise that will make you totally unrecognizable, pull the camera off the wall or cover it up, then knock on the door. Dude, they’ll never open the door when they can’t see you on the camera or if they look out the peephole out and see how scary you look, but they’ll have a video of you that will scare everybody who sees it. After you knock on the door and count to ten, come back to the car and we’ll drive you away before the police come or anything.” Only he is a little nervous or inebriated and, for half a second goes to knock before remembering it was “camera first, then knock, not the other way around.” They tell him to really take his time so there’s plenty of video to scare them. When he goes back for the lantana, he checks briefly to make sure the getaway car is still there.

I also wonder something else. Do Nest cameras have a doorbell button? Do we see him pushing the doorbell button? Are the masterminds of the operation trying to make sure that this video becomes the focus? Was NG outta there by the time this video happened? (I don’t remember timelines, and can we trust that all that we’ve been told are accurate?) Did they assume the video would be recorded or that an alert wouldn’t be sent to NG’s children?

Just a theory.

The APS card makes me wonder. I'm not elderly, but if I was and I got financially scammed, I'm not sure I would tell my family and friends. I suppose it's situational.
MOO on the APS card…

There has been a lot of speculation regarding that card and when it was put there both in this thread and in social media. The earliest I have found a pic or vid showing that card was BE’s video showing the blood and flower stems on the walkway and the earliest theory that I could find about it being put there before NG was taken was from someone commenting on BE’s video. The only reason given for the speculation that the card was there before NG was taken that I have found is the assumption that APS would not have left it there after NG was reported missing. I don’t think that is enough to come to that conclusion. If anyone has a pic prior to BE’s video showing that APS card, please post a link to it.

That said - even if it was there prior to her disappearance - which I doubt at this point - but even if it was - it does not necessarily mean that there was an APS investigation regarding NG or that anyone had reported anything regarding her. Because of the nature of an APS investigation I would think it unlikely that an APS investigator would leave her card on the front door where they suspect elder abuse as it could be found by the abuser rather than the victim. AND even if it was put there prior to NG being reported missing - it would not necessarily mean it was about NG - it could have just as easily been that they were investigating something reported regarding one of her neighbors or friends and that they came to NG’s to interview her and she wasn’t home and they left the card hoping she would call them so they could ask her about anything she might have observed about her friend or neighbor.

I think we can reasonably conclude that the Sheriff Dept or FBI - probably both already know exactly when the card was placed there and why. I think we can also conclude that if it led to an accusation of abuse prior to NG being taken and that led to a suspect for her disappearance that someone would have been detained and questioned by now or resulted in LE identifying the suspected abuser asking the public to help locate that person.

We haven’t seen the crime scene pics taken by the PCSD from that Sunday but my guess is that if we did, we would not see that card in the door at that time. Now if someone can link to a pic showing it on that day then I will consider that there could be something to this - but until someone can show the card was there prior to NG being reported missing, for me it is a non-issue - another of many things in this case speculated on by one person and spread on social media.

This crime feels like low tech combined with high tech. What if the mastermind was watching a stream or video of the event. Maybe NG was interrogated remotely or monitored remotely before being removed.

The TMZ emails are getting ridiculous. Now people are starting gofundmes to get money to buy a bitcoin for his info and even those are SCAMS! I think the emailer is an opportunist that’s loving the publicity. I’m sure whoever took NG is watching the news, so if he was seen by this alleged informant, don’t you think he would be after him? It makes no sense. He could go to the fbi for an anonymous tip and claim the reward after giving the info. Instead, he’s just obstructing justice. I really hope they stop giving this emailer the time of day.
TMZ should pass any emails to the FBI and not comment themselves, I'm not sure TMZ has any such self - discipline. Commenting on the emails only adds to a complex case which this has become.

Then I'm sure the police and FBI would have found some sort of connected device or interference , Bluetooth etc by now. These people in I.T are super champs and locate all-sorts of things even deleted files.

Temu sells many items that are sort of generic versions of brands that walmart sells. They also sell all sorts of recording devices. i would be looking in that more tech direction

If there are no direct DNA hits, no doubt the FBI can go the 'Genealogy' route (providing he's not from Mars). So one way or another he will be caught. Time is the 'key' factor.

not if the perp took the tech back with him

Yes I think this is a total scam, if this is true , why approach Tmz only and not try it on with other news reporters. Id have thought they would have tried casting a few lines out first to others to see who takes the bait. Would a news journo go as low to make it up , just to sell more papers and spike website traffic?

But there would be evidence of data interference or additional usage or even an extra WiFi in the area. They can find historical evidence too.

My years on this planet tells me all things are possible, when you think you've nailed 'humanity', it keeps on surprising. So all things are possible.

My own feelings when I first heard about the APS card left on the door was that it was perfunctory:

In the very early hours of the investigation an APS worker had heard there was a missing elderly woman in her area of work, and she left her card as a sign that she was available to speak to police and family.

She may have felt it was routine protocol and her professional duty to do so.

You can stream encrypted data or record on a device without using bluetooth and wifi. i have no idea what interference you are talking about.

Yes I agree, I thought right away it was "we can make a deal."

Hopefully, this link posts correctly. I found a website with A listed crime map, Oddly NG doesn't seem to be there? But if you click on the black box "View crime" on the bottom left-hand side, (Sorry, I don't know what it looks like on a mobile), you can see what's occurred before and after. As well as some suspicious activity pretty close to where NG disappeared after ..people on edge perhaps?
