I noticed this just now. Look at his droopy upper eyelids. They look to be almost covering his upper lashes. I thought he was quite young at first till I noticed this. View attachment 645655

I don't see droopy. I don't see a second mask. I see a hooded eyelid and possible epicanthal fold. Both are quite common in various ethnicities. Epicanthal folds have been found "in 50% of the Latino population (...). Epicanthal folds in normal adults are typically attributed to Asian heritage and are rare in Caucasians."

I absolutely think this is the case. Rarely do police release everything. I’m sure they have more footage of MM in the Tepe murder case than just like 10 seconds or however long it was of him walking in the alley.

Call me crazy, but I think checking into gun stores isn’t very helpful. Most people who have guns, already have them. I doubt most criminals buy a gun right before committing a crime. Usually you have a gun you’re comfortable using and it’s not a last minute purchase. Totally my own opinion.

Yes, sorry. That is a tiny piece of photo taken of the front.

Edit to add it is a window and not a sliding door. I looked at it from several angles. Of course this was taken nearly 2 weeks after the fact but it looks open.

Apologies if this has been discussed already, but I find this interesting: Maureen OConnell former FBI agent thinks the POI in the ring cam footage was high. I didn’t think of that, though Ive always thought his behavior was very odd for someone supposedly wanting to get into a house. Criminals are FAST when breaking and entering, burglarizing, robbing, etc. but I get no sense of urgency in the video at all. Being high could certainly explain it.

(I’m also not ruling out at this point that he was a fall guy/decoy and wasn’t a major player in the bigger crime). MOO

Not sure how Walmarts transaction system is set up but if its where you can export to excel, all you have to do is combine all the files into one excel file, work your parameters and find out the redundancy between the skus and time/date. So if this guy bought the backpack and holster at the same time, you’d get a redundancy hit.

If this guy bought any item he’s wearing at the same time at Walmart, he’s probably already figured out right now. It does not take long to combine files into excel and run a redundancy check.

Apparently, Walmart only keeps video of purchases for 90 days. Let’s hope he bought the backpack recently.

Speaking of which, I wonder if when NG was dropped off, there was any footage of the vehicle dropping her off or of her walking towards garage.

we haven't seen any footage of NG being dropped off that night, but there is a record of the times the garage door opened and closed. She was probably dropped off inside the garage and went directly in the house. The doorbell camera wouldn't necessarily record that.

Do we know if that specific holster was only sold at Walmart? I also imagine they would probably have to cast a rather large net for several Walmarts not just in Tucson or AZ but surrounding states or even a few states over like TX since who knows when and where the backpack and/or holster was purchased. (And hope the backpack wasn’t thrifted…)

I think if it is what is behind the pinkish chair, it's a sliding door I take it back, I am no longer sure. I added another image and it could well be a very low window or possibly a sliding door with a larger step. My sliding door has a 7 inch step. My mother's had a 2 inch step.

That's a good point but in Arizona a gun can be bought from a private party without a background check. It's easy to do through Armslist, which is a website that connects local gun buyers and sellers. Like Ebay but with the parties having to meet in person because guns can't be shipped except to a registered dealer.

I think law enforcement believed that the gun could have been bought recently like you postulated and the possibility of the perpetrator(s) window shopping at a gun store even if they didn't buy led them to do the canvas but it was probably a longshot. At least they are trying to cover many different possibilities.
