I think she takes daily meds. All meds are different but usually you can go some time without them but comfort level would be compromised. JMO
RSBM
Respectfully, I disagree.

Recent NG pics show bruising and a big bandaid on her forearm , which is a classic presentation for someone on an anti-coagulent (e.g. Warfarin) - they easily bruise and bleed. So I suspect NG was likely on an anti-coagulent. That is not uncommon for folks with stroke risk and heart rhythm issues.

So, if that presumption is correct, then note:

"If you stop taking warfarin, your blood will start clotting at the same rate as before you started taking it, usually within a day or two of stopping."

"This means you may be at an increased risk of serious problems like strokes, heart attacks, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism."

Therefore, I suspect that's why we heard early reference to grave concern for NG's wellbeing after 24 or 48 hours without her meds.

We are now at about 432 hours. That is why I suspect NG has not survived, as much as I'd like to see her reunited with her family.

IMO.

But they would call the family first?why wouldn't they call the police?Who would think to call aps first before 911?it doesn't make sense to me, moo
Nothing about this case makes sense to me. But it is possible the neighbor didn’t have the daughter’s contact info but I would think if a neighbor was concerned for her well being for whatever reason that they would call 911 for a welfare check as opposed to calling APS which I typically consider only for reporting suspected abuse or neglect.

Yes, and commonly prescribed for patients with pacers.

I don't like this dude. It seems like "main character syndrome" to me. MOO.
Me neither. He's a horrible person. He misrepresented his connection to the neighnorhood and threw out baseless accusations against TC. It's annoying the media gives clowns like him air time. JMO.

On CNN Live with Laura Coates a few minutes ago, her Former FBI Specialist guest (sorry no name) she's had for several nights in a row, stated something I had not considered.

She stated it is possible that the perp has killed himself following the vast amount of publicity this case has received.

She did not opine further what that would mean for NG, but perhaps if NG has died, the perp considered that his only way out.

I dunno, that got me thinking...

This vehicle is on camera somewhere in the vicinity during this timeframe, imo. Driver is not escaping the area without being on residential or commercial cameras, or the plate being hit by an LPR.

Maybe it wasn't a camera from Nancy's neighborhood, or a business just down the road, but a camera around the block.

LPRs are usually positioned on the top of utility poles. They read above-down the vegetation and landscape.

Neighborhood cams would just be a bonus.
I agree I think that's what has investigators stumped, They can't find evidence that NG and the perp left the area. But they also can't find any signs of NG in the immediate area.

But if NG was in a car trunk, SUV back hatch or in the back of a van, especially with AZ plates, in the middle of the night, how could LE possibly know which vehicle to focus on, without something they can trace to NG's house (tire tracks) or neighborhood (via neighbors' cameras)?

I am wondering about the other night's SWAT operation that ended up with 2 drug arrests and an impounded Range Rover. Does anyone know if the two arrested are still in jail? Are either of them connected in any way to Nancy Guthrie?MOO

It's going to be wild if the kidnapper is hiding in plain sight and it turns out to be a neighbor. There was a case like that where I grew up. Teen girl went missing, exhaustive search. Turned out she was buried in her next door neighbor's basement the whole time. The guy had been questioned by police several times and never pinged their radar.

And if all of those possibilities were found to be true .. then what? What are you all implying? I keep seeing all these posts going in circles about this card but not seeing how it relates to the abduction of NG.
MOO
I wasn’t really intending to imply anything - was simply answering someone’s question. But I do still have questions about why a neighbor called APS which most people would call only if abuse or neglect was suspected. For me that’s why the card being there relates to this case at all. Did a neighbor see or hear something that caused them to suspect abuse or neglect? If so what? If a neighbor was concerned because they didn’t see her leave for the remote church service or perhaps had gone to her front door and saw the blood and couldn’t get her to answer the door it seems more likely they would call 911 and request a welfare check. Before the sheriff said the neighbor called the same day Nancy was reported missing, I just thought it might have been a visit triggered by the missing person report to offer support to the family. But when he said a neighbor called it in, I think the neighbor’s reason could be important to this case. Unfortunately, unless the neighbor speaks out, I don’t think we’ll ever learn what prompted the call since calls to APS are typically anonymous.

I heard friend and I heard neighbor. So I just thought maybe friend and neighbor were the same person? And if it was the neighbor, maybe she called AG because she tried but the door was locked? Thats just a wild guess on my part.

I was just curious about the medication because, like I've recently seen others say, I was thinking along the lines that maybe she was in Mexico because it would be easy for them to get her the meds she needs without detection.

I thought about exactly that also, how easy it would be for NG medications to be purchased in Mexico, if that’s where she was taken.

“Authorities have expressed concern about Nancy Guthrie’s health because she needs vital daily medicine. She is said to have a pacemaker and have dealt with high blood pressure and heart issues, according to sheriff’s dispatcher audio on broadcastify.com.”

Totally agree. What is the motive? Could it be a game to them? Like a catch me if you can situation? If so, why NG? Because it would garner a lot of media attention based on her daughter's occupation?

I still think that it is either a very young group or rather young/computer nerdy group. Our normal principles don’t apply to them. We think in terms of aims/consequences. What if there are vague aims and no consequences in mind? I mistyped “gaims” instead of “aims”, btw. Games… It reminds either a bad reality show, or TV miniseries on a budget or a group of remote gamers communicating via Discord. I think the last scenario applies the best, only communication is more concealed. Some things don’t change: no body or proof of life has been presented. Also, whoever is involved sticks to the same way of communication. JMO: something tragic happened initially and it was unexpected. Then, perhaps, the involved ones turned to their gaming bros to carry on. So there is some planning and understanding how not to get in more trouble. Whether the initially involved are far away of they live in their homes but perhaps go to high school, or college semester started, is unclear. They fly under the radar for some obvious reasons.

The “WTH?” feeling I personally get on checking the news of this case resembles the one on I had having watched two movies. One was “the Snowman” and the other, “the Bullet train”. (Both examples of perfect books senselessly transferred on the movie screen). But if I am not mistaken, in both cases the initial scenarios/screenplays/directors/actors were changed many times, so people who started them were not the ones left to finish. I know it is 100% true about the Snowman; perhaps “the Bullet train” had the components of trying to adapt a hilariously funny Japanese book to the foreign audience using non-Japanese actors.

So applying the same principle; a loosely connected group; the initial cast changed several times and the ones left to finish are totally different. Perhaps they are adapting slightly different traditions to the South of US; also, they are into gaming and improvising. They are rather smart, young, probably communicating via poorly traceable mode and as it seems, the initial goal is lost but they feel compelled to finish. Maybe they do feel ashamed to acknowledge that an old person was hurt or they are holding on to whatever feeling of control they initially experienced, but why we are following the case they don’t understand either.

I feel that this case is a major head-scratcher for everyone, LE, the federal agents, the profilers, etc. It’s like dealing with alien logic.

JMO.

My eyes could be deceiving me, but does the backpack chest strap appear to be magnetically attracted to the contents of the suspect's pocket?

All released that night, IRRC, pending further investigation. Nothing since...

Have you seen any Wi-Fi jammer watches that would be slim enough?
I wasn't, but a simple google search reveals that they exist and can be acquired. Wouldn't it jam the nest cam video though if a wifi jammer was on near it?

I think that's the point, that they couldn't track any vehicle enough to gleam any usable information. I think if they saw it on dark grainy footage they would likely be able to track it to a more lighted area of businesses and obtain clearer images etc. But maybe it turned off on a back road and that information is just not available. Definitely plausible. But also the information would not allow them to make a determination, so back to square one. jmo

Thank you. I am curious to find what what their investigation turns up especially concerning the detained suspects. MOO
