Do you have an idea what may have caused those marks? They go around to the front of the house. In various other pictures of that area it is just the street. There is no sign of any trash or recycle bins in that particular area.

Are those marks from before LE entered the house? Then it may be drag marks from her heels in the gravel.
Are they from after LE entered the house? Then it could be anything the LE had with them, like a big box or other equipment.

Would someone be so kind as to give a brief summary of the APS business card that’s been mentioned in relation to NG? I’ve seen it referenced several times in this thread, but I’m still unclear on how and when it was reportedly found.

I understand why people are curious about who may have called and for what reason. I’m just not sure why the card itself is being viewed as especially significant, particularly since I haven’t seen investigators address it publicly. I may have missed it, but I also haven’t seen any news coverage about the card. If anyone can clarify or point me to the original source of that information, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

"Let's hope that the FBI starts arresting all these idiots who are using TMZ as a platform to extort money. "

I don't know what made the marks but IMO they are unrelated to the actual abduction of Ms Guthrie.

Thank you. Do you know if the card was left before or after she was discovered missing? If it was there before she was officially known to be missing then I understand the discussion about it, i.e. who called them and when/why. Otherwise, I guess I'm still not getting the interest in the card.

Possibly a Church friend, who did not want to embarrass her by calling 911, and called APS instead to do a welfare check.

but I can’t understand why someone would make a phone call to an agency to do a welfare check, when her house was full of family and police !
Obviously they are there for a reason, so if you have something to report, they would be the obvious ones to report it to - me thinks…

There is a lot of turmoil in the Pima County Sheriff Department unrelated to the Guthrie case.
Here is a YouTube video discussion between a retired police Lt. and an interviewer detailing the internal conflicts and no confidence in the sheriff.

This is the 4th PCSD LEO (or former) that I've watched talking about the many issues in the Department. Two talked with Brian Entin and the other I can't recall (but may have been BE too). EGO, bullying, vindictive, retribution were words repeatedly stated.

So the Tucson desert is one of the best areas to dump a body that I can think of. It’s a scary place and it is vast. It’s > 100F most of the time. In the nonexistent shade.

Your characterization of Nancy rings true from what I have read about her.

I'd add another reason Nancy might be less compliant than a criminal expected: her strong faith. I'm agnostic, but I recognize the powerful ways religious faith can help believers through times of crisis. My devout mother, in her 90s and living a happy independent life, views death as going home. She doesn't fear death. She believes any problem is "in God's hands." Nancy may have a similar worldview.

Criminals rely on fear; fear drives cooperation. The person on the doorbell camera outfitted himself to induce fear. His shocking appearance and an obvious gun made his intent clear instantly. As an elderly women with strong religious faith, Nancy may have been less concerned with dying, which would give a criminal less leverage over her.

The sheriff stated from the first press conference that Nancy was removed from her home against her will. It must have been clear from the scene, which indicates IMO that Nancy might have been less compliant than the kidnapper anticipated. The masked armed intruder who woke her up in the middle of night would have issued orders. Nancy's blood on the doorstep indicate to me that she may have resisted or didn't comply fast enough and he struck her. If, for example, he threatened her life if she didn't contact her wealthy daughter for ransom, Nancy may have refused. Her worldview seems to be grounded in her faith, at peace with dying, and protective of her family. All MOO.

I firmly believe, that whatever state she’s in, she’s not going to help someone hurt her children or family and that she’s relying heavily on her faith. I understand the chances are very slim and that she is in extreme danger but I just can’t give up on her. Prayers for Nancy and family.

I think the person you were replying to meant that the neighbour who was concerned when NG didn’t show up for their church service “watch party”, phoned APS for a welfare check as their first point of action, then afterwards, perhaps after having to leave an answerphone message with APS as it was a Sunday, tried to find AG’s number (online, White Pages, or directory services) to contact the family.

I can’t get past how full the backpack was. Typically a burglar with a backpack would have it to put things in as he steals them. A burglar might have a few tools - lock picks or pry bars or something but not a backpack full of whatever he has in there.

The backpack was only 25 liters, so that's quite small.

Other than NG being missing, the Nest video, some alien DNA in her domicile, there isn't a lot of evidence. The gloves they found in the area may not even be linked with this at all.
