I think the Newsmax article stating where the watch was found and Harvey's statements that the watch was in a place you wouldn't necessarily expect might have gotten conflated together.

If I am the one that conflated those two things on this forum - I sincerely apologize.
Many of us are at the stage where the information is getting muddled. I could swear that early MSM reports mentioned a wide-open back door, but that detail seems to have disappeared now.

The article says:

But they also said that note felt credible because it included details about a specific damaged piece of property and the placement of an accessory in the home that had not been made public.

It doesn't mention anything about an item beign removed from the home.

I just skimmed it though.

My husband's doctor said his pacemaker has some triggering alerts setup based on his heart condition. One of which is a racing heart. If the heart rate goes above or below a safe number an alert goes to the doctor. When or if they read them timely is different question. We use a portable device connected to WIFI not a watch.
Very interesting data point. Thank you. Yes, I'd love to know the timeliness of the alerts, too.

This is just terrible at this many days out we can't say if the ransom/bitcoin thing was just distraction or not. You would think by now they would at least know this much? SG and family making the videos talking to the ransom seekers. Why can they not debunk it by now or have they but want whoever invented the fake ransom communications (if they are fake) to still think they are falling for it and giving them enough rope to trip themselves up? Life is so very very short for us all and all these years watching these cases you just wonder why people don't realize this. We are here (most of us) for way less than 100 years, why do people feel the need to do such evil things when time here is so short. I could never do something such as this to another living being what makes people feel they have the right to cut someone life short or make them and their family go through hell. I have so much empathy it hurts. Heck I saw an old man at the mall being scolded loudly by his wife and I could just feel his pain. I guess it has happened from the very first humans and will continue until we have run our course on this planet, such a waste. It is hard for me to come here and follow cases but I am always hoping for happy endings. Here we are on another Friday with nothing (that we know anyways) Please let this weekend bring some answers somehow for this poor lady.

it's not looking great at the moment, but we could be surprised tomorrow. or next month. or in a few years.
You and Sheriff Nanos 😂😂.
Please let's hope it's a few days...

I'm hopeful and optimistic. I think she's alive and relatively comfortable. According to HL on TMZ, the most recent letter had graphic details about what would happen if they didn't pay the ransom, which suggests that she's still alive and doesn't indicate that she's in poor health. NG seems smart, sweet, and capable of keeping herself alive in adverse conditions. MOO
So they provide these graphic details as leverage but STILL - no current proof of life. There has been ZERO proof of life since the point at which NG’s blood dripped down her front walkway.

''While internet sleuths claim this is a cold case, forensic criminologist and law enforcement expert Dr. Ron Martinelli tells HELLO!: "This is not [a] TV crime drama, it's the real deal."

''Dr. Martinelli continues that while this case is "very difficult and frustrating…it is far from becoming a cold case," – an unsolved criminal investigation that is no longer actively looked into.''

"I am confident that we will eventually identify the kidnap suspects involved."

When? We don't know just yet. But Dr. Martinelli explains: "As [the FBI] gets closer to developing a suspect where an arrest can be made, they tend to go dark and you don't see them up on the podium, making statements or doing press conferences."

Very intriguing. Have you compared them to other parts of the video as well?
Interesting, in conjunction with others here suggesting that the way that the perp bends to pick up the lantana is somewhat of a way that golfers pick up the golf ball. The $199 golf shoes don't seem to align with the "Walmart outfit" though. JMO

Excellent info, thanks. Sounds like it'd be important to know whether Nancy has an ICD or pacemaker. The only reason I can think of for someone wanting to put her's device into magnet mode is if it was be important to the crime, e.g., to prevent event reporting or otherwise disrupt the remote connection.
A magnet would disable an ICD from its shock function - there would be no reason for anyone to do this apart from emergency crews or hospitals who can administer a defibrillator shock externally.

I'm guessing using a magnet would also stop the Pacemaker or ICD from being detected by the scans they are doing by helicopter? - just a guess though.

If those floodlights have indeed been damaged before by the roofers - as previously posted- , it would be a clear indication to me, that the ransom letter mentioning the floodlights is questionable.

ALL IMO

Cheers,
Nin
When were the roofers there? If my floodlights were damaged when I had roof work done, I’d be pretty annoyed. I think I would want them repaired/replaced very quickly.

That is a big concern for me - that we have no proof that NG is still alive. Statistics are grim, but then I think of Jaycee Dugard and Elizabeth Smart. I think it all comes down to why the kidnapper took NG. I hope that SG and her family will get definitive news one way or another soon. The waiting must be excruciating. JMO

El Gobierno desmiente que Nancy Guthrie haya sido trasladada a México tras su desaparición en EE UU

Per Omar García Harfuch, Mexico's Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, firmly states that, per corroboration by the FBI, there is nothing to indicate NG has been transported to Mexico.

The original quote from Mr. García Harfuch reads:
Se corroboró directamente con el FBI [Buró Federal de Investigaciones]. No hay ninguna línea que apunte a Sonora ni ningún grupo de investigación trabajando en conjunto sobre este caso en México

While not a certified interpreter or translator, as a native Spanish speaker who is bilingual and bi-literate in English, I translated the quote as follows:
It has been corroborated directly with the FBI. There is no line that points to Sonora or any investigative group working in tandem with Mexico regarding this case.

Feel free to Google Translate.

User @connie9030 mentioned that her husband's pacemaker has racing heart alerts set up. I'm wondering if Nancy's device had similar alerts, and where those alerts might go (Doctor's office? EMT?). Perhaps a magnet could prevent racing heart alerts from being sent out by the pacemaker or ICD.

Absolutely, if the magnet inhibits bluetooth, the sniffer won't be able to track it.

Is NGs pacemaker still communicating with a system or doctor?

SNIFFER ALERT! [UPDATE - I don't they they got a hit because they are returning back to airport]
Sniffer is currently out and really focusing on this landfill at the moment. Flying as slow as 27 kts (the slowest i've seen it all week). They also flew straight from the airport to this area. Earlier in the week it was flying random circles in various areas. This a very deliberate in this effort. IMO

Nothing to indicate she hasn't been either but I fear she is out in the desert and won't ever be found. This brings me the waterworks. They don't know where she is so how can they say they know where she probably isn't. What if she is there and people stop looking because they said this.

Am I correct in thinking that LE had a warrant for the Range Rover, but not the driver of it, when he was detained, albeit, not arrested? Was the driver LD ? confused.......jmo

I'm interested in teasing this out, if possible, with some of my thoughts on this.

Guy knows he is being captured on video, hence he tries to cover the lens before he removes it. But he is recorded on his approach, showing his entire height, frame, gait, eyes, mouth, and outfit, and while he turns around to look for material to cover it, showing his backpack, so the only part he would be attempting to conceal from the camera would be the manner of Nancy's removal, the direction/location of his vehicle, and a side view of his vehicle departing, if he drove past the house. He could have easily covered his license plate. It's possible after the camera removal it was dark in the porch and he didn't notice the blood trail giving direction to the vehicle, and possible shoe prints he left behind.

Did he think removing the camera would remove storage of the video?

If he's already injured Nancy and he's gained access through the back and is not already on video on the front camera, but wants to remove Nancy through the front, why not just open the front door and smash off the camera with an outstretched arm from the doorway, like he appears to have had something to smash the back floodlights?

Why is he wearing his backpack if he is now coming to remove Nancy and will need to lift and carry her extra weight? How did he carry Nancy with his backpack straps on his shoulders? Why not leave it on the path or in the vegetation, to quickly pick up later when the camera has gone? What is in the backpack that he needs to bring it to the house? Surely he knows he could get a sheet or blanket off the bed for instance if he wants to wrap up Nancy. If it's a tarp to conceal Nancy in the vehicle, he could have had it already laid out in the trunk or the back seat. Same if it's a clean pair of shoes for him to change into. It doesn't contain his weapon. I find it really puzzling that he is wearing the backpack and it seems to contain a lot more than a skein of rope, a roll of tape, and zip ties.

I think he is approaching the porch cautiously, taking his time and almost tiptoeing, with his head down and stepping to the side of the camera as if he hasn't yet been inside the house - because if he thinks the camera removal will delete video storage he doesn't need to worry about hiding his face and covering the lens to remove it. It seems to be a level of pre-entry precaution to me, in case someone is awake and watching it in real time. I also think he moves his hands defensively as he first approaches, his left hand to steady his holster and his right hand tensed ready to draw his gun, which he wouldn't need to do if he knows Nancy is already incapacitated inside.

I really want to know why he had a full backpack, unless it was a second bag to fill up anticipating a large haul of valuables. But with the open top appearing to reveal something long and sturdy inside, I'm thinking something like a crow bar.

JMO
Lots of good questions here, @Tortoise. Each time I try to tighten or adjust my theory, I’m still left with more questions than answers. Here’s another try to make things fit:
Maybe the camera grab was a pre-entry attempt to cover his bases. Then he went around the back smashing other outside cameras and entered there, never intending to leave by the front door. I still think he had an accomplice.
If the camera was post entry, maybe two went in through the back or the side patio, intending to lead Nancy out the back with her mouth duct taped and hands tied. However, Nancy got hurt probably bad enough that she had to be carried. They decided that they would now take her out the front because that would be the quickest. They may have moved her up to the inside foyer so they didn’t have to be parked in front for any longer than it would take to carry her out. #1 would stay with her and #2 would go to get the vehicle. He left with his pack, gloves etc still on and realized they needed to disable that front door camera. So he tried to amble up looking nonchalant in case someone saw him. I do think he thought there would be no video once the camera was removed. Does that indicate he had knowledge that there wasn’t a subscription service on that camera? Or did he just not know how they work?
So there’s another one of my Swiss cheese theories; full of holes. It’s hard when we don’t know even the most fundamental of facts. This is definitely a head scratcher of a case.

Not since 02:28 on Feb 1. It’d need to be connected to her phone.

I threw together a quick and dirty YT short on a possible shoe match: Ecco Golf LT1.

I'm very aware that IR light can mess with colors (e.g., the shoe could be all black), but this particular model seems to align in more ways that one.

Could be interesting if the guy was wearing golf shoes. Obvously, I'm not a golfer (obligatory Lebowski), so I have no idea of why one would wear a spikeless golf shoe while not golfing. Do you think this could be the shoe?

I think he did walk through the blood because I see repeat square patterns that look like transfer from the sole of a sneaker.

Nice work!
FWIW and maybe you already did this, but when you lighten up the tread on the “black” or “dark green” part of the sole, (shown here) on the golf shoe you found, IMO, the little square type shapes look similar to the blood stain prints that you and Tortoise pointed out in posted pics.
