How is this person outsmarting the best le resources and minds our country can offer? How?
We don't know how many perps there are and if they are still alive or in this country by now. A person earlier said, and I never thought of this, maybe they were "unstable" and Nancy passed and the coverage and fear took over and they took the "cowards way out"? There are so many scenarios people are coming up with that I can't say "no way that is what is going on" because none of know. My hope was for Nancy to have amnesia and be in a hospital somewhere but no way with the news coverage :(

The family just needs privacy right now. I had just turned 30 when my mom passed away, my baby brother was a senior in high school. The hardest part for me, other than my mom being gone, was that life didn’t stop. Life just goes on all around you like nothing happened. Bills still had to be paid, kids still needed to be taken care of,etc. My mom passed from an illness. Our family got closure, Guthrie family doesn’t have that atm and I cannot even begin to fathom the utter hell this family is dealing with. Wondering every day if your mom is alive …What happened, what did they do to her, where is she, what do they want?
They need space. Specifically a safe space. I don’t think there’s going to be any more public pleas from the family. If anything like that goes down imo it’s gonna be behind the scenes.
Also, there’s some psycho out there that took their mom. It’s a matter of safety. I would not feel safe knowing the person that kidnapped and hurt my mother was still out there, maybe wanting to hurt my children or family or me. It’s a horrific situation. The media needs to back off and let LE do its thing ang Let the family “hide” and grieve privately in the way that’s best for each of them. Life goes on, it doesn’t stop. Prayers for Nancy and family. MOO
That is so well said. I agee. I’m sorry for your mom and what your family went through.

It was as of Wednesday which is a long time. Brian Entin brought it up in his interview.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't heard that any of the people temporarily arrested last Friday night had an alibi. I understood they didn't have enough evidence to arrest them, which could have involved an alibi.

This is close to Nancy's neighbourhood.
An attempted kidnapping in september.
Could it be a random deranged individual after all? 🤔
This is not close to Nancy's neighborhood.

20 miles, 35-40 minute drive from where she lives.

The answer to this case may be understanding who would want to punish one or more of NG's survivors. And why? This could be tricky to find out as it could open up other cans of worms. Where are the perceived potential debts/infractions and I don't mean just financial.

We are talking about Nancy tonight. Plus I have a special announcement for the members of Websleuths.com. In particular, the members participating on this thread. We go live shortly. 10:30 PM Eastern

Is this legit? And if it is, did they find the attempted kidnapper. Scary.
I could be wrong but doesn't seem like same person. The Sept one, the guy walked with what the kids nowadays call swag and confidence. The one at NGs door seemed stiff and guarded. Sept guy didn't give any f's, walking in the well lit neighborhood, locked on target.

I've been struck as well by how passive everyone is being about this. The sheriff, FBI, family, friends, neighbors all seem to lack any kind of urgency about this poor missing 84 year old lady. No appeals from family or friends, no neighborhood searches by the community, no press conference appeals. None of the typical activity you see when a missing person case is high profile.

The whole atmosphere is off. I think the resolution of this case is going to surprise a lot of people. IMO
I agree that the whole atmosphere is off-kilter. This has been a bizarre part of this case. Nobody -- Sheriff, FBI family, friends, neighbors --have seemed engaged in a personal way in helping bring NG home by making passionate appeals, begging the kidnappers, joining together as volunteers to help search et.al. Very strange that we've heard very little pleas from friends, family and neighbors, and we really haven't heard any urgent, pressing appeals or much in the way of offers to help search.

I also agree that the resolution of this case may be quite surprising to many people.

For me 20 miles is close enough to stand out when it comes to kidnapping.
This was an attempted kidnapping, adult male trying to take a lady, didn't know each other apparently. Is this happening alot in US? I'm really curious about that.
Idk, here where i live this is very rare so if a case like Nancy would happen the LE would def also look into this attempted kidnapping only 20 miles away.

I read here somewhere that is it LD? I get confused by all the initials, but he was not in the state at the time or he was on some job? Hopefully someone comes along about this "alibi" he keeps telling reporters he has.

Edited to add LD has evidently clammed up? He now put up no trespassing signs all over his property. Interesting.

Didn't tmz say something about them being far enough away that they could have her back within 12 hours? It's been so long but I could have sworn they had her house with a big circle that said 12 hours at 60mph this was the radius? Harvey drives me crazy so I could have tuned him out. Was it only 2?

Found it, scroll down 700 mile radius, no way they could have searched that Nancy Guthrie Kidnapper Likely From Tucson Area, First Activity in Bitcoin Account
I call hogwash on the 700 mile radius---there is NO NO way this perp is traveling hundreds of miles with a kidnap victim.

Stay close, she's there somewhere.

Why risk getting pulled over with an 84 y/o kidnap victim in your car that every media outlet has posted NG's picture out there. If there is one thing this perp accomplished---is that EVERYONE now knows NG and her big beautiful smile.

IMHO, if in fact the ransom note is real---you'd want to drop her off somewhere and get the hexx out of dodge so you don't spend the rest of your life wearing a custom designed orange wardrobe.

Have you watched the video? Can you please link it?
There have been so many video’s of people’s door camera’s recording video of people going through so many people’s yards in Arizona. I would not only get camera’s for front and back door— I would get a german shepherd.

I believe you're thinking about CP. LD hasn't done any interviews at all. His lawyer did put out a statement. IMO

You make an especially good point about searches. This is very unusual, and I hadn’t thought of it.

I was wondering. Why haven't they showed us a video of her leaving or even a car leaving that night?
Or even a video of Nancy returning from her family's dinner party that night?!

I agree. I-15, loaded with lots of cameras, and even though there are big towns, Phoenix, Vegas, always lots of Arizona and Utah highway patrol. Same as I-10, and the small towns to stop, folks are usually friendly and nosey, this time of year, lots of "Snowbirds".

It may seem like a lot of space, but people are super friendly in that area. No point in going far away. Better and safer to just stay in Tucson, someplace anonymous.

Oh, yes, I think you got me there, I hate having to use initials it gets me confused. I didn't even realize there were was it 2 different men and one of their spouses or mothers, been so confused. So it was the guy "C" that was driving the RR? He was the one who was doing all the interviews claiming he has an alibi? LD has done no interviews and put up all the no trespass signs then? I hope I have it right now if not let me know. We have to use initials if they were detained by police still? Can only use their full first name if arrested?
