I think you might be giving him too much credit
Or maybe you are just overly critical of him.

Yeah but that raid was a bust. CP was targeted due to his profession putting him in the area and maybe because he had financial issues. The motive also might be more clear to LE now that time has passed. And if it is along the lines of stalking-they may have refined the profile more since then. But the first guy, CP, was married. The woman who spoke to Brian Entin was his mother-in-law, so this theory does not hold, IMO.
Since Nancy's death can't be proven at this time, seems like it would take quite some time for any benefits to be available. So who benefits? Seems like nobody benefits from a “kidnapping.” Who benefits from her death?
Seems ridiculous if solving the case is a 'time is of the essence' type of thing (ie the belief that NG may still be alive).DNA in Nancy Guthrie case could take ‘a year’ to analyze, sheriff says — after using private lab instead of FBI
Did he really say that? Short statements based in fact work well.
I read it more like that there's just not currently anything they can do to yield a result from that mixed DNA. It didn't sound like it was taking time to do the tests but rather they don't have the tech yetSeems ridiculous if solving the case is a time is of the essence thing (ie the belief that NG may still be alive).
What still strikes me as completely implausible is an 84 yo woman answering her front door after 1:30 a.m. Even if the suspect was banging on it - even more reason not to answer it. I would imagine if the noise woke her up, she would be frightened and check her phone.Former FBI agent offers new theory about Nancy Guthrie's disappearance: 'Personal grievance'
Opinion by Jonny Grusing, former FBI agent. He is great and has a history of getting his guy. Great read.
“People close to this offender are also in danger.”
Mary Ellen O’Toole
No way she’ll answer that door in my opinion. She’d likely be so frightened she’d call 911 first or her closest family or a trusted male neighbor. She might look at her camera if she could calm herself enough to deal with technology. What still strikes me as completely implausible is an 84 yo woman answering her front door after 1:30 a.m. Even if the suspect was banging on it - even more reason not to answer it. I wonder why someone would want to own desert land? Not my idea of a good investment.Look at a map. Not to be flippant. public lands are state parks, US parks, city parks and some BLM lands. (Not all parks are publicly owned though. Some are private.) There is very little public land in comparison to privately owned. You can also look at county tax assessor maps which show who owns all the parcels. All that desert out there? Privately owned.
That seems more like something that would happen to a much younger person. Would someone be asking a 54 year old woman to marry them even if they watch them on a morning tv show? Are other famous 50 something celebrities stalked out of obssesive lust? This does not fit with American obsession with youth. How would a guy that holds up a 'marry me savannah' sign in a crowd fit into your delusional unhinged lovesick stalker profile?
Oh, okay. Got it, thanksI read it more like that there's just not currently anything they can do to yield a result from that mixed DNA. It didn't sound like it was taking time to do the tests but rather they don't have the tech yet
It would be amazing if they end up solving some other missing persons while looking for Nancy. I feel like some weird sick individuals are throwing gloves and backpacks around now to see if what they throw around makes the news. People are a little out there nowadays.
But, if you have DNA from 2 different people as someone up thread had mentioned, 2 brothers, or a man and his cousin, the DNA would be convoluted and need further analysis to separate. Thus, not leading to an exact match. I personally think this is highly probable in this case.LD's DNA would be in Codis because he was convicted of a felony in Arizona.
IMO, this perp is not smart. After watching BE's latest videos I've decided that this sad, pathetic, and lonely criminal's ability to evade law enforcement has been nothing but pure luck:
Lucky that the traffic cameras/neighbor cameras/ NG cameras didn't record and that the sheriff department has some shortcomings. It's the perfect combo of what could've gone wrong for LE.
The only thing "smart" about this criminal was that he wore a mask and gloves. And perhaps he didn't bring his phone to the crime scene. This "well-written" ransom note is nothing but an opportunistic cyber criminal. The guy on camera does not show the sophistication needed to disguise an IP address and carefully craft multiple ransom letters. He can't even cover the camera with his hand properly. I mean seriously who uses the edge of their palm to block a lens.
Whomever he is, he will be caught due to stupidity. Wherever it's a mistake he made during the crime or after. I don't believe this is a mastermind that LE is dealing with.

Check into development in and around Phoenix or Tucson!I wonder why someone would want to own desert land? Not my idea of a good investment.
Both raids involved men and women, ..specifically adult men cohabitating with their mothers or MIL. That’s where it comes from. Does is mean anything. Idk, but Imo, as an outsider looking in it does. Both raids also involved similar colored vehicle's as well. First raid appears to be a bust, 2nd raid makes me go hmmmm…But the first guy, CP, was married. The woman who spoke to Brian Entin was his mother-in-law, so this theory does not hold, IMO.
