It's such a weird thing. He's there previously, so he should know about the camera. But when he returns he doesn't have a plan for it.

Maybe that can give us some insight. Maybe what's different is his motives changed. Maybe he wasn't worried about the camera recording his movements, maybe he was intent on blocking any recording of her movement. Was he there the first night for reconnaissance? Or was he there to commit a crime but something caused him to abort and try again another time?

I'm imagining that both camera captures were within 3 hours of each other. jmo different dates, same event.

I think data specialists retreived data beyond the three hour mark.

I agree but at the same time I don't think they would've retrieved data from Jan 11th. That's way too much for them to look through when they pulled off a miracle to even get footage from night of abduction.

This photo was released by the FBI at the same time the footage was. Sheriff is just claiming his department or FBI didn't officially announce that "the image is from a different night"
Where’s the gun on the still photo?no holster hanging with gun. Jmo

I got the impression NG wasn’t really paying attention to the door cams. She had let the subscription lapse ( which would have saved videos), and likely wasn’t even looking at alerts, live shots. I don’t think we heard how long her subscription had lapsed. Maybe she put in cameras with the first “ free” month( of revording), then never paid subscription after that, was not aware cameras were not working as they could. For instance, the ability to immediately and easily pull up videos.

It was previously mentioned that she posted a recommendation request on a neighborhood app for camera doorbells for watching wildlife. I live in an area similar to her and one of my doorbells is named bunnies and faces where the bunnies eat, so I understand what she wanted. She wanted to be alerted when a critter was in her yard so she could open the live feed to watch it. Occasionally there's a human nuisance that obstructs or manipulates the camera, but overall, it's a good 24/7 live animal planet in the front yard. No subscription necessary.

Wasn't wearing all his gear until he returned to disable the camera? jmo

I think so too. Im convinced the shoes are different. That black stripe just looks different. Which makes me think this was a different day. Possibly the jacket is a different color too just the same jacket.

Very respected group especially in the south! Happy to hear they’ve come to assist
I hope they spread out to the hills, check dirt roads, hiking trailheads, drivable washes. Abandoned buildings, railroads, dump sites( unofficial). I doubt perps would go deep into brush, more like behind bushes. JMO

Please look at these two.
They appear to be standing in roughly the same area.
Same height/weight?

Also look at this video below of the man as he walks from the left side of the house (from Nest camera's view).

Ok So with the sheriff asking for video from neighbors for the whole month of january, specifically Jan11 and January 31- February 1st.

Do you think that indicates google has recovered additional video from NG property?

Still look similar enough to be the same person imo. One photo the suspects legs are apart and the other the legs are together and under the body. Could explain the slightest difference. I don't think there's anything substantial enough to claim it's two separate people.

The sheriff is doing the same thing he did with the cameras being busted, and there being forced entry - he's saying "that didn't come from us," but isn't denying the veracity of those details.
Exactly.

IMO in the earlier pic the neckline on the jacket seems to sit lower than in the images we have of the perp smashing the cam.The fit of the jacket looks different, not as form fitting, hangs differently at the lower hemline and narrower in the hips and slimmer in the thighs. Also, black marks on shoes not visible in the other image but could be lighting.

Heavy backpack pulling his jacket towards his back perhaps?

Quite possibly, yes.

I assume the "no backpack" image of the suspect is from the same night as the abduction due to general wording by LE.

However, I wondered about a hypothetical scenario. Is it possible that the “no backpack” video was actually recovered from a different night (say, January 11)?

If so, this implies that there was at least one prior abduction attempt. If this video is indeed from a different night, what caused them to abandon the plan? Was Ms. Guthrie not home that night? Were they scared off by something?

Apologies if I have missed LE confirmation that the “no backpack” video is from the same night as the abduction, which would negate this entire line of speculation.
Given the new information coming out regarding the "no backpack" video coming from a different night, I suspected this might be the case when I posted this. Which brings me back to my main question - if it is true that this is from another night, what caused the suspect to abandon this "first" abduction attempt? Do we have any information regarding whether Ms. Guthrie was at home on January 11? And could they have actually entered the house on prior occasions when she was out in order to get the lay of the house first? Lastly, the multiple appearances makes me think the suspect is locally-based.

Jumping in after missing many posts -- if the "different day" footage was from earlier than 11pm the night she was taken, why wasn't the video overwritten when the three hours had elapsed? MOO
I’ve posted this before, but I have the same identical nest doorbell cam. The camera identifies faces as recognized and unrecognized for free. You go into the app, view the thumbnails of people/faces, and can classify them. Considering the image isn’t very clear and almost looks likes a thumbnail makes me think it’s one of those and that’s why it was saved by nest. The whole video wasn’t saved, just that pic. JMO as a suggestion.

Yes, and I think they are probably still trying to uncover more

I’m sorry, BUT two different days??? After the 1st time I’d be packing(things and guns) planning a move , and ready to rain a hail of hellllll on anyone who would come back! This is UNACCEPTABLE and this country should be up in arms over this!
The COUNTRY should be up in arms about what? 🤔
