The hunt for Nancy Guthrie has now officially reached its fourth week. On the 22nd day of searching for Nancy Guthrie, deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Office arrived at her next-door neighbor's residence. What they're seeking remains unknown at this point.

KVOA News first documented footage showing three law enforcement officers examining the exterior of the adjacent property. This follows revelations from a former FBI agent who disclosed a covert phrase that Savannah included in her communication to the abductors.

I respect law enforcement but they’ve got to get on the same page.

It seems like a good half of what’s announced is later rescinded, but personally I wait for my darling John Miller on CNN to explain it all to me, as he did tonight and always.

I do grasp though that LE frequently has much more info than they will share publicly, a policy I think is wise, but they have to act in concert so it doesn’t come across as if they’re botching the case.


I think it’s the existence nowadays of influencers and You-Tubers, who are not verified journalists and cause LE endless headaches. Then one branch of LE or another has to come out and retract the falsehoods generated by those without journalistic credentials.

In that article, linked several quotes above, is another link to another article and another link to another article that the word "celebrate" was considered a "covert phrase". It was something like "Release her and we will celebrate together". There were so many phrases that had to have more than one meaning or were specific to something in the notes, IMO.

I wondered if it was the video where SG used the reference that was similar to that from The Silence of the Lambs: “She is full of kindness and knowledge. Talk to her and you'll see."

Isn't it possible that LE/Sheriff has a primary suspect(s) but don't have enough physical evidence to arrest them? Search warrants are one thing if LE feared NG was captive in a home, but arresting someone without enough concrete evidence like DNA, weapon, body will jeopardize the case. -- And on this note, isn't it possible the release of the various photos is a way to spook a suspect or accomplice to think they have more evidence than they actually do?

As someone who works in crisis comms/public affairs, this looks fairly clearly like a situation where someone within LE was frustrated with the Sheriff's decision on sharing this specific piece of information, so much so they decided it was worth it to leak it. It's such a specific leak. There must be some reason someone felt it needed to get out.

It's also sort of notably the reverse of the night of the 2nd SWAT raid where the local LE told press to gather somewhere near scene, as if there would be a press conference. Then walked it back to say a statement would be shared. Then walked that back to say the FBI would not allow a statement.

I can't know, obviously, as I am not involved in the actual work of this case. But the SWAT press disagreement seemed like the Sheriff was looking for a press/public "win" of some sort, and the FBI made clear there was literally nothing that could be shared with the public about the raid that would be new. Whereas this leak is the Sheriff not wanting the date info out there for whatever reason, and someone else - not sure if local or FBI (I'm working late tonight, so followed some updates on this thread but haven't read the links to see if the leak is attributed to local or federal LE or left vague) - felt releasing that information would be pivotal, so did.

TLDR, my takeaway is that someone felt, somehow, that this info being public was worth causing internal issues. And that seems more relevant to me than the other internal fights we've heard about (lab choice, prior statement vs no statement, etc).

These are the supported facts:

LD and his mother's home was raided by federal SWAT due to a federal judge issuing a federal search warrant that requires the highest threshold of probable cause to obtain.

LD and his mother, a trained medical provider who may or may not still practice, were detained along with one more person. This was confirmed publicly by LD's attorney.

Even though a denial was issued by said attorney, as all attorneys tend to do for their clients, LE has not cleared LD nor anyone associated with that particular SWAT raid and federal warrant.

The RR LD was driving was seized and is reportedly still being processed for evidence related to this case.

LD has a known felony record and extensive criminal past.

he definitely has a slopped shoulder on the left side. Indicates perhaps a knee surgery, spinal surgery or even a shoulder surgery. I've had all 3 and my whole frame is off .. even causing my diaphram to shift. His body alignment looks to me like it is misaligned.

my insomnia is very bad tonight, so checking in on NG, if there are two different times masked man went to NG makes a whole different view of the case, just somethings seem off to me, he obviously had to have seen camera first time he went so why not be more prepared the second time and take something to hide the cameras instead of NG plants,

maybe it is one time, and he went up to her house, then went back to car for his bite torch and backpack, I find it odd how he could have been wandering round NG garden in dark with no torch, it seems there are trip hazards everywhere

lets hope this is positive and they have leads which are promising

The sheriff is doing the same thing he did with the cameras being busted, and there being forced entry - he's saying "that didn't come from us," but isn't denying the veracity of those details.

But he also isn't confirming the veracity of the details.

Once more, the Sheriff's inability to articulate and describe accurately and clearly almost anything in this case is on full display (jmo). Who knows, maybe it is intentional and vindictive? Maybe he's angry at those (any non-LE person) who have questioned his competence in this case?

Is he being intentionally short and impatient and lazy with his words when addressing MSM and online sleuthers - because he perhaps think they have put a microscope on his performance and possible missteps?

Everything from his past disagreements/conflict with the FBI (where both he and PCSO were investigated), to him illogically releasing the crime scene on the very morning of the day that it was agreed that the FBI would be assisting, to those who criticized his attendance at an AU basketball game...

to possibly punishing (my term) the press and sleuthers by saying "there won't be another press conference for the next whole week (when there's no way he could say that with any certainty - what if the crime was solved the next day?), to local criticism from constituents, to multiple swat team raids which he later claimed were no big deal / nothing to see here (my terms)...

to using the term "arrested" instead of "detained" and then, post release, saying that those he had previously said were arrested (and even were a POI) had only been detained,

Just my opinion, but I think he may hold a grudge against anybody who dares question his authority or competence - about anything. Imo he has at times reacted childishly to some media inquiries. He reminds me of Sheriff Sills in the Shirley and Russell Dermond case,

Another way to convey what he said re: the no-backpack photo (or, at least another way to interpret what he said) is:

"if there is information out there that the no-backpack photo came from a night different from the night of the abduction, that info did not come from me or the FBI".

He could simply be saying: we (pcso and fbi) have not said one word about when that video image was captured, - not when it came out (with the other photos), - and not now. Previous day could mean the 1st.

Imo it was the same lack of attention to detail and lack of clarity and poor phrasing with: "nobody has been cleared" to "the family and their spouses have been cleared". The same with "she was taken from her bed" to she was abducted from her home after she went to bed..

The same with "forced entry" (are broken flood lights right next to the back door signs of forced entry?) to: we never said forced entry, The same with the testing lab confusion. The same with the glove(s) -which glove, how many gloves, and where was/were the glove (or gloves) found?

A confused public doesn't make them clamor less, it makes them clamor more.

Lastly, for what reason would Kash Patel lie about the photo of no-backpack man?

To say it's frustrating to everybody whose only desire is to see Nancy returned safe would be a huge understatement. Imo, much of that frustration has been due to poor (or deliberately less than clear) communication from PCSO.
