The cajun Navy is a search and rescue team for natural disasters. However, they have also searched for missing persons. On their website is the story of a boy, 10, who fell from a boat. Another young boy, 15, , with autism, went missing from his home. They are savvy with media and technology and I am happy they will look for Nancy.

I think it’s probable that more than one person was involved or atleast had direct knowledge.

Hard to say how well planned it was until we see the evidence. I have a feeling it might be sloppy but just mainly circumstantial evidence.

I am so grateful the family is offering this reward. Most of us would offer any tip necessary to find Nancy. But for some, money is a great motivator. That is the sad world we live in. Whatever it takes, lets bring that poor lady home!

If multiple tips from different people lead to a missing person's rescue or recovery, then the reward money often ends up split.

I think she is the girlfriend or partner of LD in drug-related crime. I just don't see a connection to NG. Seems like their crime gigs were about drugs. jmo

These anonymous "sources" may be LE, in some fashion which is why they are believed by reporters, but really, they are just spewing their own theories about the event, in the same way that we are. We have been paying attention to details, though and they have not necessarily been doing the same. Their scenarios get reported and become feeding frenzies. JMO

Wow, while this is painful to watch (SG looks so broken), it's a good reminder that we are talking about a real human being who has been taken in such a brazen and cruel fashion, I'm sure she was terrified to wake to that nightmare.

Nancy is clearly loved and missed by her family, and I can't imagine what they've been trying to process these past weeks while walking such a tightrope. I'd bet SG would give every penny she had to have Nancy returned safely to them. Praying for a good outcome.

Lots of good information - thanks. I also read that when the camera is processing recording video it typically displays a solid green status light. If someone is actively viewing the live video feed through the app the green light will pulse.

I also read that when it is disconnected from a power source it will still stay connected to WiFi provided it's internal battery is charged. It will maintain it's Internet connection to stream and record until the battery is depleted.

While the camera stays connected to WiFi it will only record event-based video when running on battery.

If the Wifi router loses power but the camera still has battery the camera will appear "offline" in the app but can locally store up to one hour of recorded events to its internal memory. It will then upload these clips to the cloud once the WiFi connection is restored. From my understanding the physical camera is not needed to achieve this as this can be utilized through the app.

What do you make of the doorbell camera disconnecting at 1:47 a.m.
Do you have a theory on how that was achieved?

Edited: The disconnection via the doorbell camera was not listed as the "app" disconnecting that was only mentioned for her pacemaker having disconnected from the "app" at 2:28 a.m.

I've seen a consumer complaint posted on the Nest site which seems to indicate that the camera disconnects from Wi-Fi when it is removed from the wall mount.

I've also just watched a consumer review of the product on YT which shows how easy it is to steal one of these cameras from its mount.

Showing concern and care and empathy for others going through the same thing. Amazing at a time like this when they don’t know if their mother is alive, dead… forever missing.

Nice work! So, I may be alone with this, but I am still upholding the possibility that this image may have been AI generated by FBI (perhaps when LE set up the white tent in the entrance of NG’s house ?) to show the suspect without backpack and gun. It shows the suspect’s physical shape. Even the jacket is nicely straightened out, all the way from collar to waist.
If the FBI created the composite, it would also not be “from the same day”. Until they confirm one way or the other I am open to have my thoughts about it.

I have my thoughts on using AI, especially in fooling anyone trying to help. AI on YouTube, for example, is just creating a mess. One never knows what is true and what is not or what is right from wrong anymore due to AI. The public could be a great help if they would have released ALL the pictures and information.

In the case the perp was there before to scope things out, i believe it was earlier that night. It shows him at the front door so he would know there was a light. He likely also saw the camera, but maybe not. In any case there were no surprises to him.

If it is true there was no breaking of doors or windows, as I don’t think they have told us yet, then maybe he was indeed a friend of the family or a day worker who was in her home and stole her key, had one made, then brought hers back. She may have never noticed. Maybe that’s why he was so well covered, because he didn’t want HER to recognize him. Maybe during his crime, she passed away so he had to take her with him. Or maybe she recognized him or his voice. Maybe he he planned to take her. We just don’t know.

Somehow I feel the sheriff got fixated on one person or one theory and that’s why he held things close to his vest and wasn’t sharing with the FBI. I hope that works in Nancy’s favor.

Nancy could use all the help out there. Meaning LE, FBI, Cajun Navy, friends and family, media, and strangers too.

One more comment about the full moon that night. We also had a full moon, no clouds and yet the moon had a haze that made it appear cloudy, likely from what is known about planes spraying chemicals in our skies.

IF the perp even knew it was going to be a full moon, he wasn’t worried. He was prepared and maybe even happy for the illumination of the moon so he could see well in that dark neighborhood. Which makes me think it was a neighbor or “friend”? Or LD?
